The ability to control songs on multiple devices from one place by showing them as available devices to play, sometimes Spotify does currently. 4. Ability to swipe the album art or the song info in the minimized view to skip a song or go back to previous track. 5. Ability to see the song writers and producers.
I have been using Spotify since 2015 and the experience is just perfect. I just do not know if I should switch to Apple Music. I want to, but I’m just not 100% sure with leaving Spotify.
Me too been using Spotify for yearsss buy apple just gave me 6 months Apple Music for free and I’m actually loving it especially with the spatial audio on my air pods pro. This feature doesn’t work with Spotify however it does with Apple Music and I actually like it. I’ll decide after the 6 months if I want to go bk to Spotify 🤷🏾♀️

I'm a little bit confused about my Apple Music... See, my subscription expired 10 days ago and I can still listen to music. Another thing that confuses me is that before it expired, I started paying for iCloud for my Photos and Backup stuff. So, my question is, can you really still use Apple Music just by paying monthly for iCloud and not the Apple Music directly which is, for me, more than twice as expensive as what I pay monthly for my iCloud?
If you have an iPhone you can simply download the album directly onto the phone from the Apple Music app. Or if you’ve got music from a CD or other source that your importing to Apple Music on a Mac, once it imports it’ll be uploaded to the cloud for all of your other devices to access including your phone. The experience isn’t as great as Spotify or Deezer, but it looks more polished. Speaking of polish, do you know any alternative AM front ends, Josh? The AM Mac app is an awful experience - skipping songs, search not working. Ugh.

when you edit a playlist in iTunes it would show the playlist in full screen this allowed me to view 30 - 40 tracks where as in the new Apple Music screen i can view 10 songs in a playlist one time. Well if you didn’t have download every song to your device that’s why Spotify trumps this. You add to a list you just make a list without having to take up space on your phone. I have this included in my cell plan but I don’t want to use my free space is there a way to do this?

When viewing your profile on mobile, you should see 3 dots at the top right. Select that and then you should get a share option in the menu that pops up.

I like Apple Music but I hate the sync library feature of the iCloud Music Library. Recently I turned on "Sync Library" through the Preferences > General tab. Almost all of my Playlists were duplicated, triplicated... It was like a tornado ripped through all my Playlists tossing some of them out of their respective Subfolder. Rather than spend hours trying to undo the damage by having to rebuild the Playlists, I restored the computer to the last backup using the Migration Assistant.
You all should really use the user manuals that Apple provides us because Apple Music isn't hard to use at all. No offense, but the fact you actually restored your computer says you have no idea what you're doing.

They really need a simple like button to add music to your library similar to spotify. the giant menu to add, love, and dislike music is frustrating. If i hear a song i like i want to be able to like it with ease. Especially with there widget and lock screen interface. There widget is terrible, it has no buttons to pause/play its just a fancy shortcut to the app. Also not being able to hit one button to download all your songs at once is also infuriating.

However, when I click on Library tab and then "Try it now" It shows 3 payment plans. At the bottom says "Try It free" on top of that button says "Plan automatically renews monthly". I assuming this is only a trial. Do I have to pay just to use it for my own downloaded songs? Apple is developing the App for Windows and I am using that now. I am using that for my library and very happy with it. I just hope I can use the android phone app version for free too.

I’ve been using Apple products since 2014….I’m contemplating dropping Sirius and going with Apple music, and I have Apple car play in my vehicle. you can't purchase in apple music, it is streaming only. So yes you would have to go back to itunes. Not sure the catalogues are the same though. Great name btw

I tell people this all the time. The number 1 feature Apple Music has over Spotify is the ability to ADD YOUR OWN MUSIC! I see Spotify users comment all the time about how such and such song still isn't available for streaming, but if you had Apple Music, you could literally create your own library and use it in addition to the Apple Music catalog. Which also comes in handy for when songs get removed from streaming services. Since it groups everything together, you can literally browse your library and the music catalog together. You can manually add half the songs of an album, save the other half from Apple Music, and then see them all together as a complete album when you're browsing that artist.
Oldschool guy here coming from mp3's stored on an SSD and regularly putting on music on TH-cam (not TH-cam Music) while browsing on my computer, I am just discovering streamed music this is huge haha

What benefit is there to add a song to the library as opposed to downloading the song? Downloading the song takes up storage on the phone but then I can listen to that song any time? You actually can't download it unless it's in your library. So no benefit, it's more of a limitation if that makes sense. But yes, when you download a song you can listen to it without a 4G/5G data connection or being on WiFi. Hope that helps!

You can manually add half the songs of an album, save the other half from Apple Music, and then see them all together as a complete album when you're browsing that artist.
Anyone know how to shuffle an artists songs even the ones they are featured in? Much help! Or in this new update did they take it away?

What benefit is there to add a song to the library as opposed to downloading the song? Downloading the song takes up storage on the phone but then I can listen to that song any time? I don't understand the process so please explain. Keep up the great work 🤘🏼
If people don’t wanna download and still save the song for listening later maybe due to storage reasons , they just add it to their library ig
You actually can't download it unless it's in your library. So no benefit, it's more of a limitation if that makes sense. But yes, when you download a song you can listen to it without a 4G/5G data connection or being on WiFi. Hope that helps!
