When you have been doing it for over 20 years....
Start wherever you want!!
But I find if you treat everything as fitting Square's, you can break awkward rooms into manageable sections....
Everyone’s a critic these days I’ve learned a lot from your videos it’s just common sense 👍👍👍
Joe Culver yup
Slick trick popping that handle with a behind the back foot kick!
Richard Symmonds It allows me to keep both hands holding the carpet on the tack strip while I release the stretch
No problem my friend,
your videos are awesome and very informative, i fitted a whole house of carpet the other day and I noticed with the kicker the carpets would be much tighter with the stretchers. when I got home I felt worn out and my knees and hips were hurting because I'd be kicking all day.
I really can't wait till I get my stretchers and start fitting carpet the right way regardless of what other floor layers think,
plus I'll probably be the only fitter in my area that uses one.
Great video the power stretcher has twice the power of a kicker no contest All installer should use this tool 👍👍👍
Joe Culver Completely agree with that
Nice work like the fancy kick up with the right foot
Once you get used to it it’s really convenient
Very professional, and helpful
Wajeeh Huweih thank you
FloorsbySouthernboys I am a big fan of you
Your absolutely right. It depends on the layout of the room and where your seams are, like in a hallway...
Tom S Yup
Love your videos
Zealth Steel Thank you
Hey buddy. Will be good if you can post more videos up ! I benefit from them.
Bint Noor I will ASAP

Radiel E 👍

Professional work
Thank you
No need to apologize, another great video and demonstration! Your speed and precision makes me so eager to install better and faster. Also makes me want to whip my helper into shape. What a team!
Gold Coast Flooring | Carpet & Tile Care hahaha that's funny
Thanks Nick Jerry will appreciate hearing that
I always stretch through my door ways first then my length
What are u using to trim the carpet so quickly? Just started carpet this year and I hate it lol but ut rite about width first one thing my boss taught and I picked up. But God it isn't easy work. Specifically with someone who's old and set in their old bad habit ways. Like no tail for stretcher just carpet a 2x4 and use it....smh
I got a video for you too do sun patio stretch in with only one brick wall to stretch off the other three walls have glass sliding doors on concrete I guess that’s where those crab stretchers would work or that crazy triforce adapter

🤔 WHAAAAT?!!!!
Great video, the power stretcher makes it look so effortless!! I went to buy a power stretcher but it was out of stock. I told a friend of mine I was going to get one and he said I'm wasting my money buying one plus I won't want to keep taking In and out of the box on jobs. Would you use it say if you have 3 rooms in different houses or would you your kicker because it's faster? This is the argument I'm having with people when I tell I'm getting one they say I don't get paid enough to power stretch and carpets are poorly made nowadays so it's a waste of time. What are your thoughts?
sausage man a kicker might be faster but once again you're not going to get the quality that you get out of a power stretcher my main goal is on a job to feel good about the job and to feel like I've done all I can do for the job to be right when I leave, sometimes I will spend three or four hours on just a little one room minimum job but I feel good about it when I leave and I think that's key, and yes I take the power stretchers in for every job every room,
FloorsbySouthernboys thanks for the reply and your knowledge, you've inspired me to buy a power stretcher I never thought I'd ever buy one, but after seeing how easy you make it look with your tricks and tips and how you've shown that it saves you knees and you get better results even if it takes a bit more time. I love your videos, good to see a master at work thanks for everything and keep the videos coming.
you're welcome , and its viewers like you that inspire me to keep making videos , so thank you for sharing your enthusiasm
ain't no money in re-stretches. or in moving their Furniture when you gotta come back, a power stretch everything and maybe rarely have about 4 callbacks a year, but it's not for wrinkles
As a general rule whether knee kicking or p stretching it's easier to stretch to a straight wall .Another good rule is to stretch across a doorway. On this room that would mean hooking it where the doorway and closet meet and stretching to just the other side of the doorway and hook it. Then you can seam the doorway or turn and staple it. then you can stretch across the closet to the opposite corner
johnnyaero1 Thanks for your Advice
I've wondered do you use a tool box/bag for your tools??
sausage man actually I use a tool bucket, sure within the next few days I want to do a video of my van and how I got stuff set up and you'll see my bucket in that video
FloorsbySouthernboys awesome can't wait!!
@@FloorsbySouthernboys I use a metal tool box and glued carpet to the outside so I can set it on wood floors and slide it with no worries
Last stretch in the corner. I always thought you had to leave at least 2 or 3 feet for a good stretch. Stretch , then kick and diagonal stretch.
No sir no diagonal stretches are needed
@@FloorsbySouthernboys thank you for the reply. Still learning on my part. Looking up different things on TH-cam. God bless you guys.
Good work man , do all carpet layer's hide their money under the corner when they're on vacation? lol
not me lol
It’s not a vacation if you have to bring your kicker.😉
A little rusty delivery but I completely understand and agree
There is more than one way to skin a cat! There’s no right or wrong way....Just a more efficient way than others. 😉
Tom S I completely agree with that Some people think if you don’t do it the way that they do it then you’re doing it wrong I just simply show the way that seems to work best for me from my point of view others can take it how they want to
We shouldn't judge you go in or come out of the closet bro.
RT 9 😂😂
Good video, I'm ready to repair our carpet thanks.
RT 9 👍👍
Too bad you didn't use a kicker on the set walls that would have been the right way to do it instead you just trimmed and tucked all four walls get stretched not just two
lol wrong
agree.
How the PROS??? do it?!?!?
This is not a PRO video in any sense.
