    Currently have this problem and I'm praying I could do this by myself. I stay in an apartment OMG every room has this problem.

      That's exactly how I started, got tired of being yelled at and not learning. Best of luck to you and thanks for watching!

    Nice video. Great help for a first timer trying to repair his carpet. Music was painful though.

    When using your knee kicker to move your stretcher, there is a notch on the back corner to accept the kicker face. Otherwise you risk tearing your carpet by kicking under your stretcher.

    Great job. The kicker should actually sit on the lip of the power stretcher, where the notch is not on the carpet itself.

    Not to be a spoil sport but 2:10 on the video the extra tack strip you put in front of the wood floor was the wrong way round.
    But apart from that it's a great video not keen on the music though👍

      sausage man Thank you for watching! I didn't even notice that when I was there! This was a re stretch job so I didn't install the tack strip. Good eyes!

    If you actually watch that video there is a newer tack strip in front of the laminate transition. It’s installed backwards. I’m assuming it’s not the only one. That’s why it’s not staying stretched

    I got a room with all those in and out walls. This is about the 30th vid I've watched. I need a hatchet??? 😐

    • @justsaygold
      @justsaygold  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keep watching videos, no hatchet needed and no sarcasm either.

      @@justsaygold Will a stiff wide drywall knife work okay?

    • @justsaygold
      @justsaygold  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@The_Real_Indiana_Joe there are a lot of things that will work. Pretty much anything strong enough to tuck carpet in.

    Dude great insight. Thanks. U gotta change the music to this tho. After 5 min the somber piano was just killing me and very distracting.

    • @justsaygold
      @justsaygold  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      😂😆 You're welcome, No matter what music I put it will always upset someone so I usually just put whatever I feel like putting.
      But in the future when explaining things I will probably not put any music playing in the back.
      Thank you, I'm glad you liked it and I do appreciate your comment!

    Instead of using your carpet knife to tuck into small crevices, use a linoleum knife. Does a much better job.

    This is the saddest carpet stretch video I've ever seen... Love the music choice

    Why do people use heavy ass tucking tools, just grab a hook knife, what they used to cut vinyl with.
