  • CFI certified flooring installer training school came to our office to conduct a train the trainer program to help get potential CFI training instructors certified to become trainers to teach people how to install carpet. part of a good carpet installation requires stretching the new carpet wall to wall. many people believe that just using a knee kicker is the proper way to stretch carpet in a residential replacement carpet application however, the proper way according to guidelines is to properly power stretch wall to wall in both directions. In this video Nick from the carpet guys teaches a class the proper way of how to stretch carpet using an approved power stretcher for residential carpet replacement.

Nice demonstration, in regards to all the guys complaints about concrete we always drill, yes it takes twice as long but it also is better in every way possible, if you wanna be an elite installer then you gotta do the stuff that you dont wanna do too

Good demo.. but you don't need a powerstretcher in a room that small.

Demonstration for carpet certification. But yes a knee kicker would be just fine.

I don't get how using a spike voids the carpets warranty but stay nailing is ok?

Ive been installing for seven years and never used a spike. That said im on a job right now in a super rickety trailer home. I got a spike because the walls wont allow any pole stretching. Now im trying to find a video on how to properly use the spike. Oxymoron I know but here I am

Plastics cool but I’ll stick to my metal one. Less effort involved.
