The only thing I don't love about these naked bikes is the handlebar positioning don't get me wrong it's much more comfortable than dealing with clip ons but they make the stance feel too wide in my opinion

My apologies, I'm a jerk most of the time:). That said, I use a GoPro Hero 3 Silver Edition mounted on the mouth guard of my helmet. I like that POV the best.
Thanks for the video! I enjoyed the ride. Can you please explain the quick shifter function? Does it allow clutchless gear shifting. i.e. just upshift and downshift without pulling the lever in? When would you use that and if you had it, wouldn't you just stop clutching the lever? Thanks for your thoughts.
That's it, the shift assist allows one to upshift without the clutch and without lifting the throttle...much quicker. Downshifts are traditional on this machine. The 2015 S1000RR has a shift assist that allows clutchless up and down shifts.

My pleasure...thanks for watching. I use the Hero 3 Silver and mount it smack in the middle of the mouth guard.. On helmets that don't allow for that, I mount offset the smallest amount possible and articulate the mount. I hope this helps.
Although they are very good at reducing emissions and I appreciate clean air, I oppose them on motorcycles. There are too few bikes for this to have any impact on air pollution. Dislike!
If it's throttle response is anything like w GSX-S1000 I won't like the S1000R during cornering until I get used to it wanting to go even when you don't expect it to.
DON'T BUY THIS BIKE. I bought a brand new S1000R and you need NV goggles to drive it at night. The headlights are absymal and have some crazy interlock that disables the low when the high is on. The high beam is a laugh, too. A bunch of us on a forum have contacted BMW customer service...to no avail. :(

I thought I heard you say that the weight was 393 lbs dry. But after reading the spec sheet it said the curb weight was 456 lbs. Big difference.

you dont have to let of the gas on an upshift with a quick shifter..hard habit to break though!!!!

This bike is not fully equipped. There is a akrapovic road legal full system and lighter wheels. Makes the bike 9kg lighter.
You're talking about accessories, not options. This is a fully equipped bike from BMW.
