It’s time for a drag race with a difference!
Mat’s lining up in the Evolve-tuned BMW M5 Competition, which produces a mega 800hp and 950Nm of torque! Think that’s impressive? Trust us, that’s nothing… The Nissan GT-R alongside him puts down an astronomical 1,600hp and 1,500Nm!!
So with stats like that, we had to bring in a competitor with a difference. Which is why our third and final competitor is the Ducati Panigale V4R!! It’s powered by a 998cc V4 motor which produces 221hp and 112Nm. Doesn’t sound like much, but don’t forget it only weighs 193kg!

When a car with transmission issues completes 1/4 mile in 11,8 seconds
Considering it's got 1600hp on AWD, it should be running somewhere closer to 8 seconds.
Correction: to avoid fools coming up and assuming I didn’t know about the busted tranny, I clearly do, having replied to a comment regarding the impressive busted tranny time with a potential quarter mile time in top shape. TLDR, I think 8 seconds are possible after repairs, not saying it’s slow. Go GTR, Go.

@@truerobloxgods2913 Not at all, a GT-R Alpha 10 that has 1100 HP and can do 8 sec 1/4 mile. Besides Matt should bring back GT-Rs from AMS, at least they don't break and have a reinforced and forged transmission. And really costs a lot but a lot less. The 10 pack costs 50K. Compared to 300K, the difference is huge.
Cars with that much power do not work well most of the times.
Suggestion Day 8: Putting all the cars horsepower , torque and other specifications on one screen side by side so we can compare them easily

No stock transmission will resist. Think a little. AMS do better and faster with less horsepower and you can doing lunch and drag race any day every day without breaking a sweet.
But whatever, at the end of the day the GT-R is a track car anyway, not a drag car. And the stock Track Pack is the sweet right choice. Is a Porsche GT3RS a drag car ? No. It's the same thing for the GT-R, let alone the Nismo. And judging a car by its 1/4miles just proves that most people who say nonsense drive a diesel truck or know nothing about what real racing is and the true racing spirit, what a true car guy is.. They are waiting for the perfect moment to criticize the GT-R because they are haters.

I think getting a F1 started is hard enough. Even you own a F1, it will cost a lot extra to start a F1 engine.
Most importantly: F1 engine dies reallllllly fast and there is no way to repair/replace it.

I friend of mine owned a ducati back in the late 1980's/early 1990's. On his way to work one day near the plant we worked at in Michigan a deer ran out in front of him. He could not avoid it (he was going failrly fast) and ended up cutting the deer in half. My friend broke his nose, a few other milor injuries and some bike damage. The bike got him to work and they took him to the hospital. He must have had a good guardian angel that day since many have died from less than that.

YES !!! In your drag race, for the first time , i see a bike, DUCATI PANIGALE, faster than the PORSCHE 911 Turbo S. 10.1 sec for the 911 and 10.0 sec for the Ducati on the quater mile . You get a great pilot for the bike. Thank you for the video.

No doubt. I would be too embarrassed to even bring my car to Matt if it was such a POS that it can't make 1 single 1/4 mile run. So many mods either hurt a car or don't provide the claimed power increase. The M5 running at 10.4 is not 170HP stronger than stock! But I think BMW's stock rating is very low. That M5 competition is probably closer to 700HP

If a car can't even do a proper drag race without issues, the whole tuning becomes a joke no matter how many grands you've put in.
To be fair he said it was all just for fun. He had the best attitude of any owner of a fast car I've ever heard. The guy sacraficed his clutch for this video.

These are just things that happen when you're pushing that kind of power. It's the beauty of it. You want big power? You're delusional if you think it will be camry reliable. Just fix it and keep going. You just happened to witness a failure but this is normal for high power builds. Also there are half reliable 1500+hp cars, they just cost a load of money. Look at Twin turbo huracans and R8s.

I honestly don't get the point of these tuned 1000+ hp cars that break down the moment you hit the gas.
Yeah there are not a lot of transmissions that can handle that much horsepower and torque. Transmissions are extremely fragile and special. I'd boost his gtr down to about 900-1000 horsepower to make it easier on the components. The gtr isn't a Chiron. It's components can't take 1600 horsepower.

That's the unfortunate truth for car enthusiasts. Some cars just don't last all that long at monstrous power levels. The GTR can last quite a while with a better transmission, but that costs money.
@@branholo5814 As long as it's properly built-to-spec, then a car won't break down at 1600HP. But building to spec is very expensive as that's a custom job.

I'd still take the M5. Love the fact that it's visually stock. However, the colour of the GT-R is amazing.
People shit on m5's all the time... the people who do have more than likely never even sat in one let alone driven it. Even stock they're still weapons... with 4 and 1/2 seats, decent stereo, sounds nice, looks even better and with some badge removing can be made a sleeper. It's why i don't like AMG, way too flashy with chrome everywhere. AMG is for people who want to be seen and heard, M series is for people who don't lol.
