You guys notice how the pictures of Sammy and Lincoln and Ellis are burning? Sammy and Ellis’s images have been burnt through representing their deaths, but for Lincoln, it’s his chest that burns away, signifying him becoming a heartless and vengeful murderer

I think the whole plot of mafia 3 would've been better as a show than a game
Something that flew over my head in my first playthrough was that Sammy almost knew about this about to happen. Not like in a sense of "he was in on it" or anything, but that he gave off the impression of knowing what would happen inevitably while they were under Marcano. "Ain't no one standing over me again, Over any of us" he says with the boatload of money they'll get to potentially buy their way out of Marcano's grip (not that it would work but still). The second Marcano shows up, he has this complete unease around him, trying to appease Marcano to try to get through at least this encounter. Sammy even heavily emphasizes what exactly makes Marcano's stack bigger, that even with Marcano getting a bigger default stack and enough to pay dues, that Sammy "put in a little extra for your troubles" to try to maybe sway the thought of what could happen. It's ultimately a futile effort since Marcano doesn't give a shit and burns the place to the ground, but it makes the pull to avenge Sammy so strong in my opinion looking back at it.
Your right, and also Sammy was nervous as hell Lincoln never told Sammy what sal Marcano wanted.
They should have made this scene later in the game. Needed more missions to get to know these characters and only them kill them off, that'd be much more powerful and memorable

I really wanted to know more about characters like Danny and Elis and I thought I was gonna learn more about them. And when that scene happened, I was so shocked. I hate Sal Marcano so much, but that’s what makes him a good villain.
I mean the point wasn't to feel connected to them before they were killed, but at least get to like them enough to feel angry once you're betrayed

sucks some have cut the music cuz if copyright strikes. However the music is just so poniant with this scene it's just perfect.
Gameplay was repetitive, story and and missions, but in terms of story telling 10/10 amazing experience

I just started the game, I hadn't heard nor seen anything for it but I knew there was gonna be a whole lot of racism. I love it so far, at the beginning, the love between this main black group and rich white men who you'd expect wouldn't want to be around these blacks because of racism. The robbery went great, Giorgi seems like a real brother, then this scene happens, the father and son exchange a look, that catches my eye as I'm confused. I look down at my phone, hear that catchy knowable song playing. "I like this one!" I'm vibing, then "you shouldn't have said no." Gunshots, I look up, and shit goes down. My mind has been betrayed and blown. I love ot

It's crazy going from Tommy and Vito, who are pretty normal sized dudes, then going to the absolute UNIT that is Lincoln. Mfer is built like a wall. I love him.

I loved all the scenes that had a classic song playing. “Paint it black”here, “Folsom Prison Blues” when rescuing Enzo, and “Runaway” when rescuing Alvarez.

This is, in my opinion, the best cutscenes I've ever seen in my life. And I've played a lot of games. Not even rdr2's ending competes for me.

This game had one of the best stories I’ve ever played, really wished the gameplay could back it up. A remake or something of this game would be great, but I doubt it’d ever happen
I cannot even tell you how surprised I was that this happened dude. I really started to love the characters dude.
First time I played this game, I heard the gutair come in and instantly knew something was boutta happen.
I just noticed that Sal gives Sammy the kiss of death before he kills him
First time I played this, I saw Sal and Giorgi exchange looks, and then Sammy’s face and i was like “what’s going on?” I heard Paint It Black and I knew exactly what was going to happen and was still taken aback by it
So sad that the rest of the game after this scene doesn't continue with that amount of quality. :/

Even though Giorgi tells him that he shouldn't have said no to Sal's offer, something tells me that even if Lincoln agreed to it, Sal and his son Giorgi still would've betrayed Sammy, his son Ellis, and Lincoln Clay eventually. Why? Because that's how it works in the mob - very rarely, if ever, are those involved in the mob are allowed to get out of it because of all the activities that they knew about, or even if they didn't know much they still would be held in suspicion by others in the mob. The only real way out for most is by ending up lying 6 feet under.

Even with graphical flaws and all that business, I defended Mafia III's stance as a good video game even from the earliest days in 2016. I'm just happy it at least stabled out now years later where it's much more playable.
