Something cool I noticed is that Giorgi never used the hard n-word against Lincoln, which shows that, even after the betrayal, he still respects him
I hate how likable Giorgi was in the beginning. He was my favorite, and still secretly is aside from Vito (because who doesn't like Vito?).

It's tragedy. You see how much Lincoln looks up to Sammy (the one who took him in and became a father figure to him). And then you see how much Giorgi looks up to Sal. Both so eager to make their respective 'fathers' so proud of their accomplishments and of their un-waivering loyalty.... if it weren't for the differences in the color of their respective skins, or the fact that they are/were both criminals and did very terrible things to other people, or the fact that they belonged to two very different crime families..... if someone were to come up to me and tell me that Lincoln and Giorgi were brothers, I would've believed it.
I personally never held it against Giorgi for doing what his father wanted him to. To him, it really wasn’t personal shooting Lincoln in the head. Lincoln probably understood that when Giorgi told him “it was never about us! It was about my old man-my father. I’d do anything for him, same as you and Sammy.”
Sammy told lincoln that do whatever sal ask for the sake of them, he should have taken the offer then MAYBE things should have gone better :/

They're relatable. What they did, everything they did, they did for each other. The last version where Tommy is the last to die I think portrayed this best. That scene genuinely made me want to cry, knowing full well that they did some shady shit to those they had close to them...

I find it very satisfying when Sal has a breakdown when the last capo dies (or defeated in Olivia's case) but I like it when how pissed he was with Lou and Tommy's deaths.

Both times I've played through the game I killed Tommy last, and I'm happy I did, makes Sal and Giorgi's cutscene more emotional in my opinion.
You gotta admit, the character writing in this game is nothing short of fantastic, just like in every Mafia game.
Nothing's black and white and even the vilians are as relatable as the main character himself.
22:21 is my favorite. The tone of it all feels more aligned with Mafia’s overall theme.
I like 19:49 the most because he brings it back to the beginning about how his whole organization’s destruction could’ve been avoided if Georgi had just confirmed the kill. Also, I love seeing Sal angry & desperate more than sad & desperate or scared & desperate. And him throwing the phone lol.

Why did they have to make Giorgi such a complex character? Apart of me likes him, and the other part of me hates him for betraying Lincoln, Sammy, Ellis, and Danny.

18:09 This interaction with Georgi puts Mr. Marcano in an interesting spot. He talks about the world changing and how they run things isn’t gonna work in the new world coming. He has, well he HAD the money. He had the people and power. He knows damn well he could have fought the changing world. But he wants to go legit, a seemingly easier way out.
But by the end of the game Lincoln Clay takes the option of going legit away from Marcano. Money has gone dry. People are dead and gone. He now has to take a loan from the Commission, essentially turning the casino into just another mob-owned business; drugs he once wanted no part in are no flowing freely into the city to fuel this fading dream; his son gone so there is no future left.
In the end, he tried to fight the changing world by deciding the terms he went out on, but bad luck, lack of precaution, and pure desperation determined his ultimate fate.

So, depending on who you kill first, the final scene differs. Huh, funny, I always kill Lou last, because I always want that to be the last thing Sal sees before I make Lincoln tear that casino apart. But I never really thought to go to Lou first and then go to the others. Guess it would be good to change things up a little and kill those Dixie Mafia mofos last.

The story was great on how it ended but if Lincoln's original group didn't die and no betrayal they would've been awesome together.
His death was a huge moral dilemma, because he’s absolutely right, if Sammy had decided he was going to war with Marcano and killed him at the bar, Lincoln would have gone right along with it. He’s a scumbag but he’s pretty justifiable in his behavior
