    2023 is shaping up to be a huge year for electric dirt bikes! There are a lot of new and exciting electric dirt bikes that are coming to the market in 2023 and those include the Stark VARG, CAKE Bukk, Surron Ultra Bee, Surron Storm Bee F, Arctic Leopard, Rieju eMR, Arctic Leopard, Rawrr Mantis, Nicot eBeast, Nicot eFox, Secutronic Admitjet Armor, CanAm electric motorcycles and more. I expect many of these bikes to make the Top 5 list for next year.
    The most affordable electric dirt bike that I suggested if you are looking for the cheapest option is the Surron Lightbee X. Yes, the bike has gone up in price since the last video but it is still proving itself to be the best bang for your buck, which is probably why it’s the highest sold electric dirt bike on the market.
    It goes without mention that the Talaria Sting, which is a direct competitor and in many ways almost identical to the Surron Lightbee, is also a great value.
    I said I would only recommend bikes that are available for purchase but I’m going to be a little lenient on this one because many of you have already pre ordered this bike. It goes to the Stark VARG, hands down. If you’re waiting on an electric dirt bike and you want high performance, the Stark VARG is the bike you’re going to want.
    But because you can’t physically ride the Stark VARG yet and the Alta Redshift is no longer a bike that you can purchase, this category is still going to the KTM Freeride EXC.
    The best in technical terrain is going to the Electric Motion Escape R. The best way to prove this is that for the Top 7 bikes to finish the ECR eMoto class at Red Bull TKO this year, 5 of those were Electric Motion electric dirt bikes.
    I haven’t done a video with this bike yet but I have ridden it and the runner up in technical terrain is going to go to the Arctic Leopard.
    Back in 2020 we gave the quietest category to the UBCO 2x2. That is still the case, but that’s a utility bike and many of you want to know what the quietest dirt bike is, so that is going to the Talaria Sting. Because of the gear drive and O-Ring chain, this bike is unbelievably quiet.
    We can’t deny it, the Zero FX is the best street legal dual sport. I was honestly expecting to give this win over to the Surron Storm Bee but because the Surron Storm Bee F won’t be street legal in the United States, it unfortunately removes that bike from the comparison. The Zero FX is more street oriented than most of the electric dirt bikes I’ve ridden and mentioned in the video but it has the best capabilities for road use and mixed terrain.

    The ability to ride EBike on 5 Acre block without upsetting the neighbors and half the neighborhood is very attractive. I know part of the excitement of MX bike is the sound. But the e-bikes could potentially open up many many more places to ride.

      That's what I was thinking. I ride a Honda CRF250L, FMF exhaust with the silencer in it but it is still loud. I get weird looks even in places where I'm legally allowed to ride, then if I go where I'm not allowed, people freak out. I mean rightly so, even though I drive slowly and respectfully near people. an Ebike just opens up so many more options. I've been noticing a lot of trails putting up signs here in Canada saying no Ebikes lately though...

    I am a beginner (really starting to attempt to crawl) in the powered bike realm of life. I've rode BMX, MTB, and even Unicycles, but powered bikes are a whole different animal! I recently bought a Sur Ron X light bee black edition... I am still in the basic learning stages. I love your videos and just seeing how experienced you are riding and how comfortable you are with all different types of bikes really helps me understand what is ideal for one's experience level. You really do break things down to a basic level where anyone can relate and understand. Thank you for your videos, you do great work! Honestly, if I was as experienced as you and making videos about these bikes; I can't imagine a world where I could do it any better than you... you are the standard by which all others should be measured. Keep up the good work!

    Great review and very informative. I have only ridden the Sur Ron LB, the Time ET, and currently own the Velimotor VMX3000 which I believe is the same bike as the Admitjet. Of the 3, I definitely favor the VMX which is somewhat of a KTM Freeride E copy chassis with a 12kw peak, 4 speed transmission motor. I was wondering if you have rode this bike yet and I'm very interested in your opinion on it. I only have around 20 miles on it, but thus far it has been pretty impressive as far as build quality and performance for the price. Keep up the great reviews!

    Great comparisation! How is the throttle latency on the start varg? On the ktm e-ex, this is perfect with almost no latency between sudden throttle input and rear wheel movement. I have ridden light bee and zero fxs, and both suffer from too high throttle latency for slow technical riding.

    Glad I found this channel. I ride mountain bikes daily and when I considered an e-bike I started looking at dual sports. Ebikes are too expensive to justify being an early adopter as transportation, reliability and safety are all in the new modest options for less than a MTB. I would love an ebike someday but my budget or income would have to change unless one of the bigger traditional manafacturers off something to compete with a KLR300 or similar options in size/cost. I dont even have to ask if any of these bikes are priced below $6000. Working on and servicing ebikes is still anew deal too but all things equal I would ditch loud and smelly in a heartbeat. Hopefully you cover enduro, smaller sized options late too.

      I agree I've wanted something like A Levo for years but I couldn't afford one,
      So I bought 2 mopeds for $2500
      *for both*
      One 2004 Honda metropolitan for $1000
      And a 2019 for $1500
      So me and the wife could both Cruz around town and take them camping etc.
      For the price The 2 mopeds were definitely the better deal and They hold their value, I'm certain I could sell them and get 100% of my money back because I bought them used.

      @ElectricCycleRider  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Regdor Your question really reflects your username! Haha. Love it. I can't really verify when the production units will arrive at dealers because it sounds like that is still up in the air. Everyone is still dealing with supply chain/port issues but the safe answer is that the Ultra Bee's will be hopefully be available for purchase within the first half of the 2023, which could mean summer 2023 at the latest. So your dealer is probably correct in giving you the safe answer. The unit I'll be test riding in a few weeks is just a single unit that was sent for that purpose and unfortunately not part of a big container shipment of production bikes.

    Watching THIS channel and others has really got me thinking of an electric dirt bike. I'm 6' - 160lbs., I've been riding for many years, though would need to get back in true riding shape.
    The Sur-Ron X Light Bee is looking a little small. It costs a LOT to upgrade everything, so I'm counting that one out. The Ultra Bee looks promising, so that is certainly in contention. It is about 6 inches longer and a couple taller in the seat. All the other options for battery, controller, etc. seem to be what you would put into the Light Bee for only $2k more, so it seems a no brainer. I would like to have 18/21 wheels, so that would be an addition. Are there any under 10k bikes that would fit the bill?

    It's a decent set of choices. However, it's very USA centric. Is most of your audience in the USA?
    The Storm Bee enduro and street versions have been selling in some countries for a while. I've had mine for over 1 year. The enduro version, so I'd like to nominate it for the best dual-sport. The Zero is more of an adventure bike and not particularly good at that due to range - current battery tech makes adventure touring almost impossible for electric bikes. It's reputed to be quite poor off-road. Dual-sport, to me, means more off-road weighted but with the equipment to make it street legal.

    • @ElectricCycleRider
      @ElectricCycleRider  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Martin Foster For sure. We love the viewership from all the countries who watch content on ECR but we are largely speaking to a North American audience when it comes to bike availability. It's a shame that bikes like your Surron Storm Bee aren't street legal in the US but it doesn't help our audience to recommend a bike that they can't buy or can't use as intended. The Storm is indeed a better off road bike than the Zero FX but because you can't plate it in the USA, we can't consider it to be a dual sport here.

    Clearly a lot of work has gone in this video, nice work. Quite unfortunate there was no mention of which of those were clutch driven eDirtBikes. A bike without the ability of clutch modulation is absolutely USELESS in extreme enduro. Anyway, thanks for the video, would LOVE to see a future video on clutch-driven eDirtBikes

    • @NeverRest300
      @NeverRest300 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@duyenmy1935 Why is it useless in Hard/Extreme enduro? Because the entire time you’re riding the bike by slipping the clutch between 20% to 90%. How does one do pivot-turns (front wheel up, bike stationary) and switch backs on rocky embankments without a clutch? I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong here, honestly. I’d buy an electric dirt bike right now if they had a wet-clutch setup.
