I bought Futaba T8J and F450 Quadcopter with Naza Lite. The DJI assist software I use is DJI NAZAM Assistant 2.20. I downloaded the drivers so my LED unit is recognized by the PC, but when I move the reemote sticks the display screen doesn't move at all!!! I don't know if I haven't downloaded enough things yet. ANYONE HAVE ANY CLUES, THANKS
Hello alishanmao, I have ordered a new DJI Naza system, do I need to change something on the computer when I want to fly in X mode? And also changing something on the transmitter? Or just setup on airplane mode and its done?:)
Hi. im using a Turnigy 9x and getting a CFG-ERR on dji naza assistant program.
this is the error: CFG-ERR
Configuration error, this may cause by firmware upgrade from old version. or abnormal Tx calibration. Re-calibrate your transmitter, and power cycle your controller and check all of the parameters.
Is there someone who know what i should do?
Well I was thinking of buying the dji phantom but u said it won't handle strong wind like 20mph but I already have a nice 450size quadcopter so I was thinking of maybe buying just the naza & GPS an also change the esc anise it on my dx6i so if I use my own quadcopter it will handle the wind better the the dji phantom in high wind like 20mph???

Are u using naza v2? how is that possible? naza has only 8 channels. I have a retractable gear, lights, pan and tild for gopro and fpv , and i dont find the way to connect all of them together, I'm using futaba 14sg with sbus. its a f550.
1234channels are movements,
5 gps,altitutde, manual
6 curs lock , home lock
7 failsafe.
8 empty
so i only have channel 8.
Please help!
Can you use one of the extra channels on the transmitter to control the gimbal wile the naza is still holding the gimbals position. Say use the channel 5 nob to control the pitch?
Hi, Hope you can help. I have bought a RTF version of what you have here, DJI 450 and Futuba T8J. I have set it up in the same way as you have, but it will not power up the motors, everything else seems to work, I get a green light on the R2008SB receiver, but the DJI receiver blinks 1 red, two orange after I bind them? it goes through a series of blinks, including several green, but then just sits there and blink red/orange and nothing works? Any ideas.
Hi, Figured out my own issues. Listened more carefully. Everything working except on Futaba 7c apparently failsafe only works thru channel 3 (throttle). I don't want to go through the crazy mixing solution that I have seen so will have to be careful. Wish I could bind my Phantom controller to the Flame Wheel. lol Have not seen Rx available to do that. Take care! Thanks for your efforts!!
Hi, Great videos. Something I am not quite grasping. Using a Futaba 7c For intelligent control mode, I have adjusted my channel 5 endpoint so it is in the Fail-safe (blue) area. Then when I disconnect and activate my mode switch I go between fail-safe to Att to failsafe. (rapid orange flashing). I have done a write each time. Also when I click on (3) Int. Or. Control, it instantly turns back off. Thanks!!
And if sacrifice manual for failsafe, I should always have throttle around 50% before switching the switch, and if I want to regain control, make sure my throttle is around 50%? Is there anyways to mix the switches so I can use a separate switch to activate failsafe without sacrificing manual? more specifically on Devo 8 radio.. thanks!!!

Dear Alishanmao. I'm a huge fan and i love your videos. I have a futaba 7c 2,4ghz. I have a problem with setting up the fail safe because i am only able to set failsafe on ch 3 and not the ch 5:ger to activate the failsafe when the remote is off. Hope you can help me :-)
Thanks for nice video. I have futaba T6J. There is no 3 position switch. How should i configure control mode switch ? I would like to use all modes: manual , GPS and Altitude. Is the only possible way is to use pot control ? Thanks for any advice...
Do you really need to set the fail safe throttle to 55% ???
I use Futaba 7cap, set the fail safe without taking care of setting the throttle, & it does a good job, when i switch the power off, it gets to 60ft high & comes back to its departure point....

Putting together a new mount for the keychain #808 camera. Even with the props perfectly balanced, I get too much "Jello" effect with video playback. I need something to dampen the vibration.
How good are the supplied sticky pads for the GPS mounting? how much do you trust them mate?

I tried to setup my futaba t8j by following your video but all the settings came out wrong,I am using the s-bus on the r2008sb receiver.I had to change the switch locations as follows
1 to get the gps,attitude and manual to work on switch e I had to use ch7
2 t0 get home lock etc to work on switch c I had to use ch6.
3 to get the vr knob to work I had to use ch5.
I tried to use the receiver as normal without using the s-bus but the naza lite unit would not link in.
I take it the f550 will still work with these settings.

Hello i have a problem:i connect the battery,bind with my spectrum dx7s and then connect it to the computer with the cable that it came.I open the program but it doesn't detect it.i tried in another computer and the same results.What can i do ?

It knows where to land b/c of GPS it just does it slow for a controlled landing.
Will the Naza And GPS have a upgrade to include more waypoints beside RTH?

won't lift off means something wrong with your setup. either props spinning in wrong direction or your setup is too heavy to take off

OMG! I would be lost without you Alishanmao so I subscribed, clicked your ads, and clicked like. Im new to this Naza bizzo and it has been quite bewildering but your tutorials saved me. I have a Devo 8S with a Rx802, what should I select.. traditional, D-bus or PPM????? Googled it to death to no avail.
I have my receiver bound but I am still unable to get the Assist software to pick up my receiver/tx Im using the 9xr and the FRsky D8R-II ... I choose PPM mode in Assistant but still not receiving any signal... motors will not arm or spin? Any ideas what I should do next? Thank you in advance!

Nice video! I use a slightly different setup because of a different radio :). I have only one 3 way switch so i programmed a mixer for different switches into my radio it's quiet nice. Besides this i agree to your setup completely. People are so damn lazy! They can do it all by theirselves. JUST READ THE MANUAL OF THE TRANSMITTER AND THE NAZA! Instead they ask questions and steal your time.
Thanks again for the very informational video. I'm using a Devo 10 radio and I'm using aux3(RUDD D/R) as a separate switch for failsafe. When setting failsafe on throttle do I put L 54% or H 54%? I'm not sure why there is a L or H.

Nice video Ali, very helpful. I am using the Futaba T6XA and the only problem I have is that I cant bring channel 5 to Atti mode no matter what I do with ATV and SubTrims. Just wont go to Atti mode with the Channel 5 switch thrown in. Somehow using the Channel 6 knob to get into Atti mode. But that could be tricky. In every other way the T6XA seems to work OK. Any suggestions ? I need to bring ATV below 10 % and T6 doesnt do that. It goes from 10 to 120 %
Thanks for the walk through Ali! I've got everything working except the control mode selection. My Naza M Lite assistant shows the 'manual' selection disabled and moving the switch positions of switch C & G (my T8J has 2 3 position switches which are C & G, not C & E) does not move the mode slider from Atti to any other switch mode. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
So here's my setup:
Futaba T8J TX
Aux-Chan setup: Ch5 = SwC
Ch6 = VR
Ch7 = SwG
Ch 8 = DT6
Futaba R2008SB RX
DJI Naza M Lite with GPS
Channels 1-4 from RX to Naza A,E,T,R in order
Channel 5 from RX to Channel U
Channel 6 from RX to Channel X1

DJI e310 motor & esc combo pack (4 motors)

Ali help!? I have a Naza-M v2 I just buy from a friend. My PC is windows 8.1. I tried everything but can't even get my pc to recognize the naza when I plug the usb to the LED unit. Henceforth I can't even install the driver. When I plug in the LED just goes off does not turn solid green and my PC does not recognize it at all.. Any advice??

E310 and e420 esc calibration
I'm Just finishing up a DJI f450 build and I've run into a problem. I'm using a brand new Spektrum DX8 transmitter with AR8000 Receiver and TM1000 Telemetry Module. Everything is set-up and appears to be working properly on the assistant software... Bottom line is the motors only seem to throttle up properly when in Manual Mode... When I switch to Att or GPS Mode, throttle response is lazy and greatly reduced (can't take off!).... Any ideas??? I'm ready to take a sledge hammer to it!!! :-(
Thank you for this video. What helped me the most is the section starting at 7:00 for failsafe settings. This is a critical item to the setup. If you have time, I would recommend breaking this section out and into a it's own video. Thank you.

Any idea what would cause this change? With my FW-450 with Naza-M, after setting everything up after mounting the GPS on it, throttle worked normally gradually increasing motor speed as throttle moved from low to full. But last time I flew it, after starting motors, leave throttle closed and as usual, motors would shut off after about 3 seconds, but if throttle opened, motors remained just slowly turning until throttle got to just under 1/2, then motors started speeding up but instead of lift-off just over 1/2, had to open throttle to around 3/4. Once Naza system realized quad was flying, throttle acted normally and I had to close throttle back to just over 1/2 to prevent rapid climb, but once landed at under 1/2 throttle, close throttle just 1 or 2 clicks lower and motors would suddenly slow to speed they normally turn just after starting motors and maintain that motor speed all the way from just below 1/2 to full closed stick position.
Now, arming still works as usual, but I get absolutely NO motor response from throttle closed to throttle just under 1/2, then sudden motor speed change near 1/2 and smooth throttle response from just over 1/2 to full throttle.

I purchased the naza lite with gps got it for fathers Day and still cannot fly it.
I am ready to take it back for refund and purchase the ideafly at least I kn I w it will work.
Thumps down from me on naza. Call the tect support he helped me with the driver but he has so many people waiting for help like me that he tells you he has to go and email him if you cannot get it to work.
We'll guess what he will not respond.
Hobby shop where I purchased cannot help $225.00 down the drain.

Hi... My DJI Phantom work with out any problem it does communicate with the software with in no time. But, My DJI Naza m lite brand new out of the box. LED kept bring fast red. you said, it not program yet. I try to connect it to my Naza m V2 software. but it not communicate with the software. On the software bottom left show " MC Out Put" on red to white while plug the USB cable in. and the software said please connect to the controller. Can anyone help me how to fix this problem.

Thanks Ali! Everything works perfectly! I even turned off my receiver! The failsafe kicked in, the the Quad rose to about 30 meters, floated toward me, waited for 15 secs,.. landed and shut down! Awesome! The only thing is that you have to reboot the Naza (disconnect and reconnect battery) after failsafe is activated. Otherwise it will not arm from the transmitter.

Hey Ali, thanks for the tutorial video! I have set my failsafe so when I turn off radio, the slider goes to "failsafe", but the throttle at "holding", it returned home and landed without a problem. So I assume thats the same as you setting the throttle at 55% since when I'm up in the sky, the throttle is almost always around 50%. Or should I set it to 55% manually just in case somehow I'm not in that throttle range?

i entered zeros configuring the gps and it was fine. i measured and entered the xyz and results were the same. wondering why have the xyz if it doesn't make any difference in gps performance.

Replace your ESC speed controller's use a 30 amp this way you can handle the 4 cells.
