@@zanderx7 I have. I still wasn’t able to manually rev match, I wasn’t able to heel toe downshift, I wasn’t able to manually shift it myself. I just asked a computer to do it for me. I’ll take a third pedal any day of the week at the cost of “FaSTeR LaP TiMEs” to have actual fun with the car.
@@brickson98m I physically can’t understand that lol paddle shifters are so unengaging. If I’m not able to control every bit of my shifting then I don’t want to drive period. That’s genuinely what makes the difference in a boring car vs a fun car to me.
I maintain that the Honda Fit is the spiritual successor to old school Civics. It's 90s economy car small while being endlessly practical and surprisingly playful in the corners. The torsion bar suspension in the back is nothing compared to the multi-link found on Civics, but like the Fiesta ST, that doesn't make it any less fun. It's a damn shame they discontinued it in the US.
I'm glad you guys have finally shown the Fit some love! Not only did you include it on the list, but you made it the very first one. I've got a 5 MT GE8 (2nd gen) Sport model with 212k miles on it, and I don't plan on replacing it any time soon. The quick steering ratio and stiff frame give it the handling characteristics of a roadster.
this summer i found one with 67 000 km on it for 4k. its a secong gen automatic with no rust at all .. dammn i love this car ..it as no power but when you alone or 2 in the car its pretty good for a 1.5l and this car stick to the ground you can take corner so fast it feels like a fwd go-kart .. slow in acceleration but you can never brake and just take the corner it will stick to the ground .. greath touge car , great daily car , great sleeper if you put money in it .... i would love to put a k20 in it in the near future
Everything at Donut has just been getting better in quality, the camera work, the editing, it all deserves praise lately! They're really coming together.
14:56 The fake silence was pretty good. You can tell they just show Justin listening to Nolan again waiting for his line with no audio (he turns his head twice the exact same way). The joke was entirely made in the editing.
You're right. Horsepower is nice though but it's only really useful for competition. If you're just trying to enjoy yourself a solid platform is usually all that I've ever needed.
I'd like to add an even more slept on car I owned years ago when I was in college, the manual Scion tC. Hear me out, you are essentially getting the larger displacement Camry engine with a shorter base and lighter Corolla chassis. The care come stock with 21mm sway bars and has a very affordable TRD Lowering spring that you can add that will make the care actually rotate around corners. I remember taking my tC to autocross and flat out embarrassing porsches, Camaros, corvettes, S2000s, and 370z when I beat the majority of them and finished in 12th place out of 58 participants. People thought I had a turbo, or some crazy sticky tires but I was practically stock and just running some performance all seasons tires. Car was anemic in s strait line but around corners it felt like a classic JDM tuner car. Those cars where widely slept on. Affordable, easy to work on, cheap parts, looks halfway decent, and actually had roomy cabin for its size. At the time and even now it cost less than a honda fit and is still faster, only downside is the aftermarket isn't that good. The tC gets slept on because it is too sporty for casual buyers who just want a transportation appliance like a Civic, but isn't sproty enough to be wanted by enthusiasts, so it sits in the middle ground where it get ignored and forgotten. Highly recommend it as a first car for someone in highschool or college.
As a one time haver of a first gen tC, I agree with you bud. Great car, I at least loved the way the first gens looked and as you said - it drove awesome and was the newest manual transmission I had the pleasure of owning prior to making a family. Good times, will always have a soft spot for manual tC’s.
I traded my VW gti mk6 for a 2nd Gen Scion TC. I had so many problems with my gti that honestly, I couldn't daily drive it. The six speed manual transmission TC has been a blast. Although it's not as quick or sporty as my gti, I love that toyota reliability. I haven't had any issues other than alignment issues. The handling is great and it has decent fuel economy. Also it has a large trunk space even without folding the rear seats. I've enjoyed it so far and I really don't miss having to be in the mechanics shop every month.
I had a previa as my first car. Here in Australia it's called a Tarago. I had a lot of fun in that car. Changing the spark plugs can be done from under the right hand side seat. Once you remove the seat there is a cover under the seat that is removed to reveal the coilpacks and spark plugs. From memory, there is also an oil door in the centre floor under the carpet that is easier to access for obvious reasons.
My 1st car I bought myself at 18 was a 94 AWD 3000gt twin turbo. Omg I loved that car so much. Now it would be great to have again but a headache to own since parts aren't cheap since they've been discontinued since the late 90s. Would love to see it come back to life again 2025 version.
Yep, plugs/oil pan gasket/head gasket/ exhaust header all accessible under the passenger seat. Remove a few bolts, then the seat, then a stamped metal cover, and the top of the motor is right there for you. Plug and wire changes are easy. Distributor is accessible from pass side just by laying on your back. Another reason not to hoon this without some mods and a lift kit - a lot of vulnerable parts are 5-6” off the ground.
i_O was friends with the Donut crew... great dude and great vision, really miss him. I was just at Beyond this weekend and met a dude wearing an i_O shirt that apparently he had signed, such a cool dude and we definitely bonded over our shared love for the music.
Yeah for reals. First thing they talk about is how old commuters have gotten over priced in the next few years, let’s make it even worse. All that for views.
I got my aunt's 2008 fit as my first car and I'm still driving it! it's even been through a couple of accidents and runs like a dream, and i love that you can fold the seats all the way down
you guys have some of the best hosts on the internet. PLEASE bring back some of your staple series. I like these weird one-off shows but I crave stuff like B2B, MoneyPit, and anything with Zach Jobe. Give Justin his own series, love that guy! Also, great audio inside the Nissan!
@@eTiMaGo how's the 1.2l compare to the old/current 1.5l that's in the vios/yaris too. I know in Malaysia we still use the 1.5l. surprisingly the yaris/vios has some decent aftermarket suspension parts, you can get roll centre adjusters from hardline lol
I honestly went into this thinking that you guys needed to have my car on the list only to see it as #2!!! The Volvo S80 w/ the V8 is only 2007-2016, also you absolutely want the AWD model, it’s the flagship top of the line model. I have the 2007 specifically. SUCH a slept on car. Currently looking into turbo’ing it as well as other custom upgrades. Super fun & agile vehicle & it’s fast as hell too, it’ll surprise you I promise. ❤ so happy yall included it.
Guess they got to make something for content. It is annoying, as the internet putting things on a pedestal has the effect of completely blowing out prices on any consumer good.
unfortunately that's just crappy humans for ya. Everyone constantly wants to screw over the next guy or squeeze every last dollar out of everything. Everyone thinks they're freaking Gordon Gekko when selling a used car instead of just getting their moneys worth and moving on.
I got rid of my Fit for a Tacoma for work purposes. I really miss daily-ing a zippy little Fit in the city and being able to fit into any open parking spot, hence the name. Such a great car and has a surprising amount of cargo space.
Heck yeah! V6 Camry is the ultimate 'sleeper car' and definitely deserves more praise. Got mine for $4,000 with 190k miles, and still drives beautifully. That thing will easily last 300k miles!
As someone who owns a Volvo S80 (2004 S80 T6), yes, they're amazing! The first gen (98-06) wasn't available with the V8 but it was available with a 2.8/2.9/3.0 (depending on the year) twin turbo inline 6 which I'd argue is almost just as cool!
@@alexandermikkelsen1684 Oh wow eh. Denmark is an expensive country to drive in. I live in Canada and we pay more on insurance than any country in the world. Highest dealer markups and gasoline is criminally expensive
God damn it I was saving for a Fit, but now the prices are going to skyrocket since every 16 year old who watches this channel is going to want one. Thanks a lot guys
@@melomal2554 I got a few listings saved that are under 6k, but I’ll have saved enough to buy around November. So fingers crossed prices don’t blow up too much before then
I love seeing you guys finally talk about your Previa! As an owner of one, they are actually pretty easy to work on for the most part. Spark plugs can be easily changed once the passenger seat is out and the access panel is removed. You might could do it without taking that out, but it's 10000x easier with that service panel removed.
Speaking of Toyota vans, I'm from the Philippines and almost my whole family on my father's side and I went to Camiguin (great island but I'm not into travelling, plus you've never heard of it). We all had to ride in someone's silver diesel HiAce with a manual that would have looked a lot better if it didn't have tasteless cosmetic mods and it was just stock. I was thoroughly impressed of how good of a highway missile it was. It climbed the steep uphill roads of the island without any problem because it had so much torque and handled turns pretty well too.
I worked for Toyota in the 90s-2000s. They sent some of us to Toyota training and we just happened to have one of the Previa engineers as an instructor. He was pretty damn proud of the Previa.
We need more videos like this. Bravo to this channel for making this video and reminding us enthusiasts that we don't need a usual run of the mill enthusiast car to have fun 😄 the mazda3 wasn't mentioned in this video but I love mine and it's a hoot to drive. Screw anyone that says it's too slow :)
The fit is by far one of the most fun cars I have ever owned. The transmission is so smooth, and its like driving a giant gokart. Would buy again if I have the space ever.
My family has two and it's THE car to get if you live in a city and want a regular vehicle, the packaging in the first gen fit is incredible. Too bad about the water leaks though.
Hi donut I love your series of ''I drove every gen of xx car" and personally loved the gtr video. Since Camaro is going away can you please make one of the video from this series. I'll be grateful if you make one. It's my dream car and watching it go away is really heartbreaking
I got my Scion xD new in 2010 and it's just a dorky little thing but it's perfect for me and fun. Gets up and goes, super room inside, no front end makes it super easy to get around when I go downtown. It's only just now needing a fix, it's just been standard oil changes and the like these past 14 years. I will drive it until it can't go anymore and I will absolutely cry when I have to park him for the final time. He may not be one of the ~cool~ Scions but he's my ride or die.
11:38 Honorable mention to the CX-30, it's basically a lifted hatchback and you can get a 2.5 Turbo in it making 250 HP. I've seen some sick builds of these
I had a dealer loaner Fit years ago and I absolutely loved that thing - even though I’m a 6’2” man and my wife said I looked like Donkey Kong in Mario Kart when I drove it. I would still rock one.
That's a hilarious image :D Glad to hear you could fit in it! I have a BMW M Coupe and everyone at 6'2 or above asks how to modify the seats so they can actually fit...
once drove a base model, 200,000 mile Honda Fit from Vancouver to Montreal and it was the most fun I've ever had in my life. Opening it up on long stretches of freeway was so enjoyable, sometimes I'd slow down to a stop just to take off and row through the gears. Driving is what's fun, the car just lets you do it. Best $1000 I ever spent.
That's us at 4:47. We drove our buddy Joey's Volvo S80 V8 over on our main channel a few years ago. Can confirm these things sound amazing with an exhaust. Fun fact, it's the same engine they used in the Aussie Supercar series and also put in the Noble M600.
Are these pretty reliable vehicles? I want to get another big body V8 I've had a Grand Marquis a Mercury Marauder a rear wheel drive RT Magnum and my latest was and all-wheel drive RT Magnum. Wouldn't mind another all-wheel drive V8 car
It's worth pointing out that most s80s had a straight 6, including all of the examples shown in this video. The v8 model is very rare and usually runs well over 10k
I'm six feet tall, and I have two brothers who are taller than me. They are both broke, but they need a car, and I keep telling them _both_ to buy a Honda Fit. I sat in one at a car show in 2018, and my mind was forever changed on the car. They're so much roomier inside than you might think at first glance, especially for tall people sitting in the backseat. One could say it really grew on me. Stinks they discontinued it. Everything Honda makes just keeps getting bigger and more upscale. I remember when you bought a stick Honda because it was one of the cheapest cars in the world and it would outlive your grandchildren.
Bro, I'm 6'6" and I considered a Honda Fit back in college. I fit pretty darn well. But now I drive a Sequoia (also one of the cars they mention here). There are few cars better foe tall people than the Sequoia.
@@tallguygreg My parents have a 2012 Platinum. I think it's up to 140,000 miles and I've told them if they ever consider selling it that I want to be on the short list. @@Ascorbicon I also learned in a Honda Jazz/Fit and i can't say wether or not it was easy because I was learning ya know, I don't know if it would have been harder in some other car, but regardless in Australia there are many L or P plate drivers with one and I've spoken to heaps of people that say it was the first car so they do we manual also so it must not be too bad😅
V6 Camry’s are no joke, tbh. And some of the newer ones have some pretty badass looking appearance packages. Especially that TRD option. A great car for if you want enough power to get out of your own way, but you still want a practical, spacious, lowkey commuter that’s very reliable and easy to maintain.
late to the comment but i wholeheartedly agree, people always ask me why i love camry TRDs even if it's a "downgrade" from my current cars. They look really nice, they're powerful enough and very practical for the price.
The Mazda5 is also a surprisingly fun car. Definitely a bit of a bare bones tin can, but the manual trans and basically mazda3 suspension makes it pretty fun to drive. And the fact that it has sliding doors is also a quirky bonus
I own one right now about to go outside and slap some new wheels and tires on it lol it's my ladies car and she insists that it's a minivan I consider it more of a tall wagon 😂
Gen 1 sequoias are beasts, I love mine and the crazy thing is most of them only have 1-2 previous owners who typically have every last mechanic note abt it
I love my Mazda CX-3. All the CX cars have are fun drivers. The CX-3 really drives (and looks) like hatch more than a cross-over. 30 MPG, jumps through the gears in sport mode and it surprisingly zippy for a 150hp engine, Mazda styling and interiors are some of the best in the biz in my opinion. It's my favorite all-arounder I've ever owned.
My dad used to have a Honda Jazz (what the Fit's called over here) and it was surprisingly zippy to drive and spacious inside - loved it! I've also been in a recent rental Camry that was alarmingly quick and very fun to burn people off at lights with :)
My parents still own a 2010 Honda Fit, the car I used through my teen years. kissed my girl for the first time in that car. Had a lot of fun with it. The only down side I could find is that the suspenssion is quite stiff and should have better milage for being such a light car. But apart from that it's an overall fun car I love it
Absolutely LOVED our old Honda Fit (Jazz in the UK). Bodykit, full stainless inc manifold and decat (with a ridiculously ricey sounding backbox from the USA), was my pride and joy. Plus it handled like a go-kart and was low powered enough to let you absolutely send it everywhere and barely used any fuel. Just wish I'd got the semi auto with the paddle gear change 😍
YESSS! I did not expect you to mention the Accord but I'M SO GLAD you saved the BEST FOR LAST. I have a 2020 Accord Sport 2.0t 6-speed and I LOVE IT! For reference, I have also owned a 96 Integra GS-R and a 01 Prelude Type-SH and I STILL LOVE the Accord. I have had an 89 and 93 EX stick shift Accord's as well and THIS IS STILL my favorite car YET. Only mods i have on mine are V2 PRL intake and I straight piped and and it it SOO much fun to daily drive!
I'm glad you guys finally made a video involving the Honda Fit. Bought my fit about a year ago and I absolutely love it. I sold my Toyota gt86 to get mine.
I had a 2005 Volvo S80 with the 5 cylinder turbo (~210hp) as my first car, and it was a shockingly nice car to drive and was even decently fast for a car like that
Another underrated fun car. The last generation Cadillac Deville. Horribly unreliable, but MAN my moms Deville is fun to drive. And frankly, when it works, which is most of the time, it works great. It’s not even that unreliable, it’s just when it does break, it’s expensive. Also, you brought up the CX5, but nobody talks about the CX3. That car is an incredible performer and it is fast when you hit the gas.
@@BigWheel. no, its fwd unfortunately. you may be thinking of the 7th generation, which was made throughout the 90s. The 8th gen was from 1999 to 2005.
Just got a 2.0T accord sport and it's INCREDIBLE! I already dropped an intake in it and I have an oil catch can in the mail just to feel like a pro. Absolute stunner of a car and so comfortable when I don't want to go fast.
Get a Ktuner. Even the can tunes wake the car up. If you have E85 pumps in yer area that's a good boost also. Running better 1/4s the the Camaro of my high school years looking like a dofus putting a helmet on to drive my dad car down the strip.
Honda Jazz / Fit is super popular to mod on Asia especially South East Asia since the car is pretty much still looking good for Teenagers here and didn't look boring at all. There are lots of Aftermarket parts for the car and you shouldn't be really confused to how to get one.
the South East Asia market Honda City is also a fun car to mod and drive, despite being longer, heavier and little bit understeer compared to the nimble Jazz/Fit
@@shahrulnizam4713 honda city mod sound interesting, can you provide more information. i have ones and doesn't do much outside the headlight upgrade(the stock ones is terrible dim, so unsafe to drive in the dark).
my dad has a 08 fit sport with a manual transmission, hasnt gas an issue, and it’s abt $20-25 for a full tank. very economic but since it’s so light, even putting somebody in the backseat it scrapes once it hits any small bump in the road. clutch feels great and smooth on them so it takes a little bit more practice to get it from jerking back and forth or even stalling out. this is the same car I learned to drive manual in. def buy one.
Like they say; it's fun to drive a slow car fast, not a fast car slow. Speed is relative, like when I'm going 50 km/h(31 m/h) with our tractor I feel like I'm flying down the road.
I feel the same with my two stroke scooters with 49cc and 99cc, the feeling is that they are as fast as a 1000cc sports bike - and prolly more dangerous! 😁
Going over 15 mph on a tractor always felt sketchy as hell with the old case and Farmall we had. Always nice to get the speed wobbles going downhill with a bailer or a hay wagon
@@lovingtennessee7726 It's sketchy with modern tractors too. High center of gravity is not fun with high speeds. The only expectation is the JCB Fastrac, maybe, but I never driven any.
Exception to the rule: Convertibles Whether you have a Mustang GT vert or an MX-5 vert, when that top is down it's always fun. Unless it starts raining of course.
I think all accords/tsx’s are great bargain buys most of the time. The fact that most come with a k series is a plus. And the best part is a TSX wagon. My favorite daily as of right now.
Finally some respect for the V6 Camry, like you guys said it doesn't look cool but it fricking moves! I still own an 07 Camry V6 and man does it make peoples jaws drop when I race and I am the one ahead of them.
When the Fit was just about to 1st come to the USA, I still had an old Autocross/Solo-2 car I had returned to stock, an 89 Civic Si hatch. Loved that car, but I needed new and was sad I couldn't just buy it again. Out of curiosity, I got a spec sheet for the Fit and it was astonishing how closely it numbers matched the Si. Chassis dimensions, weights, nearly everything. So I drove one: you sat higher in the Fit, just as quick but less rev-happy, a bit more body roll, better brakes. If the Fit came out in 1990 promoted as a hot hatch, it would be legend. Same car in 2005 (?) promoted as a MPG buggy gets no props. It's all in your mind. Great car. Who cares who knows as long as you do.
I feel this. I had a 2005 Kia Sorento with a manual transmission that I had a blast with. Had weirdly short gearing that made it feel somewhat overpowered for what it was, a strangely competent 4WD system, and a great feeling shifts that were satisfying. Paid next to nothing for it so I didn't feel constrained to really be careful with it. I'd buy another one if I could find one.
Huh? I legitimately thought Kia didn't even know _how_ to make a manual gearbox, let alone shipped a vehicle with one. To be fair, to this day it still boggles the mind that so many other brands use MB engines with great manual transmissions, yet Mercedez benz itself won't do that.
@@ZeroHourProductions407 MB won't because automatics are "fancy" and their clientele can't be bothered to manually change gears like a peasant. (But when they do shift their own gears it's with white gloves and a pinky up.)
First gen sorentos were body on frame SUVs with true 4wd and a low range transfer case with a solide rear axle. Some decent tires and they can actually go places. Unfortunately, aftermarket support is nearly non-existent so unless you're good at fabrication, you won't be putting a winch bumper on it anytime soon.
I went from a Mazda3 to a 2016.5 CX-5 GT and it basically drives like my Mazda3 did except it has a higher ride height, which in my state, is very, very appreciated. Around town it's super easy to live with too.
"People keep buying the cars I want, making them more expensive. So, here is a bunch of less cools cars you should buy and LEAVE MY CARS ALONE!" Lmao. Good list.
Immediately starting with the Fit, def solidifies my choice of wanting one before realizing I need a bit more cargo space than the Fit gives and the HRV came out.
Honestly I own a jazz dynamic, in america the fit sport, it maybe only has 130hp, but so fun to drive around, throw around corners, and also the perfect daily as said in the video
Honda fits are sick. Got to drive one quite a bit, but I will say going through the mountainous stretches of I-8 in socal was one of the most terrifying experiences lol. Pretty sure I was downshifting to 2nd gear at certain points, felt like one of those semitrucks going 15mph up those giant grades lmao
Honestly I’m surprised a Volvo 850 isn’t talked about more. You can find some with turbos, relatively cheap, not hard to find, and you can do quite a bit of modifications too.
Ive had a '10 fit 5mt for about a year now, its been a blast weaving thru chicago traffic & if you lower the back seats you have enough space for about 8 bodies
Pontiac Vibe/Toyota Matrix!!! Handles amazing, has good aftermarket support being a Toyota platform, plenty of room for a hatch and SUPER reliable. Owned few.
went parking in a previa with a nice young lady who happened to be a drummer in a band. It was her car that the band used too. Can confirm: it IS capable off road. She had rhythm.
Another honorable mention, a Honda Accord coupe with a V6 and 6 speed manual combination, especially the 2008-up models with the larger 3.5L V6. The ones equipped with the manual also don't have cylinder deactivation unlike the automatic versions which make the manual version a little more reliable.
My wife has a Nissan Juke. It hurt my soul to buy it but she really wanted it. I absolutely hate riding in this car. There is no room and nowhere to put my stuff. But, I love driving it. It is very well balanced and handles surprisingly well for its ride height.
I love the idea of this video my "first" car was a mazda 3 with a 5 speed manual and to this day I describe it as a manual go cart and no one understood why I enjoyed driving it so much
The mk1 2liter mazda3 is an absolute jewel, had it for many years and gave it to my uncle. Now i drive a 300HP Insignia A/Regal and is a great (and overlooked) car but sometimes i borrow the mazda3 for pure pleasure
I had a first-gen Ford Focus with the 2.3L, back when much of the Focus was still platform-shared with the Mazda3. I understand completely: that car had no right to drive as well as it did!
The Nissan Juke is honestly such a cool car. Considering how many different accessories and upgrades they have available plus the mini turbo charger, for a compact SUV, it's crazy how quick it can get for a 4cyl.
Had a 2013 manual. Loved it, very fun to drive even though 1st gear was tricky. Once you got the hang of it, great response and handling… Would have loved to see it in a 2.0 or 2.5….
Massive sleeper is the Cadillac STS. More powerful than the similar model years CTS and yet it wasn't as popular. The STS had two V8 variations, one was a supercharged 4.4l, the other a 4.6l, and a 3.6l V6. The naturally aspirated engine is responsive, and it handles great. Toss some racing coilovers on it and it corners even better. Stupid reliable, mine was running on 5 cylinders, had a massive oil leak, two water leaks, and now power steering when it came to me. I drove it like that for nearly a year before I finished her repairs.
The Volvo S80 is interesting, you also can get similar models with either the T5 or the D5 5 cilinder engines. Both great (sounding) engines. Not my type of car, I prefer one a bit less heavy, but I have driven about a 1000 miles in these cars and they do drive great
I've done 22k miles in a volvo s60 and they're very comfortable, even during long trips. I've done 1300 miles non stop and managed to do it with a break every 6 hours, without feeling overly tired. The s80 is an even more luxurious car, it's worth it.
You guys should feature some of the V6 VW Passats from recent years. I have a 2016 SEL premium with the VR6. It has 280 hp and comes with the DSG transmission. Everyone who drives is is really surprised by how fast it is. It's a lot like the V6 Camry you feature in this video, but paired with a DSG so you get very fast dual-clutch shifts. It's a great car.
absolutely love my v6 avalon, the camrys bigger brother. does not turn at all its an absolute boat but because the 2gr is the same engine as in a lotus exige theirs actually a little bit of aftrmarket support for it. with intake, exhaust, and nd stage 2 cams its making 320ish and its such a sleeper, faster than most things in a straight line anything that isnt a v8 charger/mustang or around that performance level. and then you get on the highway and set your cruise control and it eats all the bumps and its a fantastic ride. i couldn't ask for a better daily driver
@@Hassanw9 nah dmos one is purely for show & the motorway. That thing needs to be seriously detuned, get 8 inch wide wheels and a better LSD if you want any type of fun in it, otherwise its just going to understeer everywhere
Guys, you didn't mentioned the vw passat b6 3.6 4motion. Up to a couple years ago, it can keep up with all the other cars in its class. It was the closest we got to an R36.
There’s one in my driveway I’d like to set fire to. It eats brakes, tires and suspension. Also full of electrical gremlins. With just over 100,000mi, the only thing that works right is the motor.
Had my eye on the accord sport with the 6mt before i found my e90 335i. Couldnt pass up the deal, but will definetly keep the accord on my list for the next car. Also loved my fit til it spit a rod. The fit is the best cheap featherweight on the secondhand market today and ill bet in a few years will be commanding the scene the same way the ek did years ago. An absolute gem, and a banger of a list from yall.
As someone who's knowledge of cars extends to only knowing how to change his oil. This channel is great for a casual like myself. And the hosts are always great.
since you guys seem to be sponsored by Nissan, you guys should do an up to speed episode on the frontiers!!! awesome off-road rigs, work trucks, and daily drivers. I've owned 4 of them and would love to see something like that.
The Frontier and XTerra are easily the most slept on trucks in the used market. I loved my old 05 XTerra and hopefully will get a 15 Pro 4X in the near future.
For a cheaper (to run) alternative to the S80, lots of Volvos from the same era (C30/S40/V50) came with the T5 5 cylinder turbo motor that also powered the Focus ST220. One of the best sounding motors in a regular car. Needs a bit of careful maintenance but reliable if looked after.
My aunt has a newer generation CX5. She originally leased it from the dealership but immediately fell in love with it. And now I know why. It truly is a great car!
I use to have a BRZ Ts, then i sold it & bought a 2018 Honda Fit Sport & never looked back. Like the name suggests, it fits my life style pretty well, i can park almost anywhere in the bay area, amazing gas mpg, alot of space to carry cargo, & i enjoy the look.

@@loganmilks3481 to me, auto is plenty of fun, but especially so if it’s a DSG/DCT with paddles. But if I want to bang gears I have my bike for that.

Hahahahh, Tarago’s used to be the touring musicians van of choice from the mid 90’s to the early late 2000’s -
Previa was my first as well. Went from that to a Honda Fit. Loved them both. I'd buy back my Previa in a heartbeat if I could.

Speaking of Toyota vans, I'm from the Philippines and almost my whole family on my father's side and I went to Camiguin (great island but I'm not into travelling, plus you've never heard of it).
I love that you included the s80 v8. It's my dream car
Yeah I heard those are surprisingly capable
First gen sorentos were body on frame SUVs with true 4wd and a low range transfer case with a solide rear axle. Some decent tires and they can actually go places. Unfortunately, aftermarket support is nearly non-existent so unless you're good at fabrication, you won't be putting a winch bumper on it anytime soon.
Those are RWD too right?
Finally the fit is getting recognition
SEA is full of em
Wish there was more manuals sold tho 😩
uk spec ones are almost all manual & lower mileage
the US got more manual fits than you guys did probably lol
@@ShaiyanHossain nope.
RIP affordable Honda Fits
I went from a Mazda3 to a 2016.5 CX-5 GT and it basically drives like my Mazda3 did except it has a higher ride height, which in my state, is very, very appreciated. Around town it's super easy to live with too.
"People keep buying the cars I want, making them more expensive. So, here is a bunch of less cools cars you should buy and LEAVE MY CARS ALONE!"
Lmao. Good list.
4th gen 4Runner is also a great option over the Sequoia if you want a smaller size. Comes with a V8 full time 4WD for some models!
Ford Bronco: GOAT mode
Also Ford Bronco: gets stuck in the first stretch of mud
The Honda Fit is a mini-minivan. So cute.
I had my fingers cross to see the accord and y'all as usual did not disappoint. Big up @Donut respect from Jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

I love to see y'all do a campervan episode with the Previa.
Owned few.
XR was AWD too
@@connerdevoe1973 only some. My xr is fwd only. Supposedly the 4wd system is not that great and breaks.
They even made a factory super charger for the 1zz.
Heard the xr 4wd are kinda rare too and only came in automatic it was the replacement for the XRS which I think was a bad choice 😢
went parking in a previa with a nice young lady who happened to be a drummer in a band.
My respect for Felipe after finding out he has an s2000 📈
@@TheSuperBoyProject Agreed, very comfortable. As you could say in Dutch "een kilometer vreter", or a car that eats up the miles like a glutton
We can all agree that the editing Team for Donut Media is underrated! You guys are the true heros that don't wear capes.
The Jetta GLI has the 2.0T and DSG from the golf R and APR has tunes that will put it well into the 300hp range quickly
So true about the fit! My girl has one and I love driving it. Definitely lacks power on hills but it's fun driving all out going 50mph
As a huge Camry fan boy I love seeing the car getting some love, even the new 4cyl new gens are pretty fun to drive
Dynamikku Forceeeeee!!!
The editing recently has been phenomenal 🤣 hamster men had me howling
the soul is what’s keeping kia from being respected as a legitimate brand
absolutely love my v6 avalon, the camrys bigger brother. does not turn at all its an absolute boat but because the 2gr is the same engine as in a lotus exige theirs actually a little bit of aftrmarket support for it. with intake, exhaust, and nd stage 2 cams its making 320ish and its such a sleeper, faster than most things in a straight line anything that isnt a v8 charger/mustang or around that performance level. and then you get on the highway and set your cruise control and it eats all the bumps and its a fantastic ride. i couldn't ask for a better daily driver
Yeah I love the honda jazz, even though most people think its a grandma car.
Imagine how good @DMODEEJAY one?, I bet it’s an absolute banger to drive 😂
