I love this bow. It is straight forward and not flashy. I like how it cast heavy arrows with great speed. My dream bow
I found Grozer quality varies - I first bought a 60lb bio-composite which exploded into pieces - Grozer apologised and said they had a problem with the glue quality. I then bought a horn and sinew composite, when it arrived the horn had holes and scratches - Grozer's comment: 'That's horn' - he's wrong, it's defective horn! The bow was supposed to be 90lbs draw weight and turned out to be 75 lbs...I had waited 18 months for him to make that bow! In saying that, his standard all man made materials bows are good.

Thanks for the review, Armin. I have this bow, as well as a composite Hunnu from Mongolia and a laminated Keshig from Alibow - all three at 50#, and have found barreled wooden arrows (from Alibow, Sarmat, Huntingdoor) are very nice with the bow. Perhaps when winter is over I can do a review comparing the three Of the three, the bio-composite is becoming the preferred one.
That is one of the most beautiful bows you have shown. Nothing fancy, but naturally beautiful. Grozer makes stunning bows. I am selling my Hoyt. I want some of his bows. Only a few! Ha! Ha! I thoroughly enjoy all of your reviews, i have never thought you are advertising the bows or anything else you show. You always come across as a man who enjoys sharing his love of archery. It is why i am changing over to traditional archery. I appreciate how anyone can make a bow like the one you are showing. It is truly a art. Thanks for showing all the bows you have reviewed. Keep it up please!
Now thats my type of bow. I love the look of it and I'm a bow fanatic and always working to keep my bows silent but I even like the noise that one makes. Nice👍

Armin I just watched Grozer make a bow, I'm completly shocked as to how he does it and it is all natural materials and natural glues,, it's insane.
Grozer is in my opinion one of the best!

Honestly yes, I have owned 3 Grozer bows in the last 20 years, and they were my favourite bows. I really liked the TRH composite Hungarian bow.

After having tried a genuine Mongolian horn bow from Ulanbator I am a bit disappointed with its stiffness, noisy shooting and slow arrow speed. I suspect, Csaba Grozer's bows are less noisy and more light-weighted in siyahs. So, I'd rather buy Grozer' s Mongol Bow or any of his lighter biocomposite bows next time. Scythian, for example or Crimean Tartar

Armin. Thank you for all you do. In doing my research, there are 2 versions of this bow as the first had some defects. Do you now if there is a marking or so that distinguishes the difference in models? One that I am being offered for buy has L2 on it.

I think the handle is covered with thin goat leather or another soft, thin leather. Maybe deer. You can see the hair follicles on the surface.
I think you'll find it's pig skin. I know he offered it on some of his fiberglass bows as a covering.
@@tammynfletcher pig skin was my first thought too😊 it's definitely leather.
@@lulustocke8251 yes it makes a beautiful leather with the hair follicles so large it gives a great grip. That's why american footballs were made from the same material. Plus it's very durable yet supple at the same time. 😉😉
I have this bow, I received it in January. It`s not leather but synthetic leather, better to be used for a chair. The good Mr. Grozer should better use real leather. The material looks good though but after about 50 arrows I noticed a blister on the root of my pinky because the handshock is there. I solved the problem by using a glove. That`s not a reason not to buy the bow but Mr. Grozer should change the handle material which also would suit better with this antique looking bow. I sent them a message about the incident and asked for advice, the arrow weight they would use for this bow, becaue I wanted to buy new, a little heavier arrows. I have never got an answer. That`s imo. shallow!
I guess it's time for me to start saving my pennies! I found it @ Classic Bow in Hungary... any other retailers for Grozer?

I love Mongolian bows, the only thing that doesn't convince me about the Grozer Mongolian bow are the string bridges, if they were like the Mongolian bow of Imre Nagy or Tumurkhuu it would be the perfect bow for me ... but that's my opinion, the rest of the bow looks fantastic.😁 Thanks Mr. Armin, I think next month I'll be patreon 😅
This is late Mongolian style. They are a lot more similar to Manchu bows. The early Mongols have non contact siyahs. If you love that style, you can check his biocomposite Hungarian bows they generally have less hand shock.
I liked the Biocomposite bows of Grozer for a long time now. Not yet at the point of buying one unfortunately.

I do wonder with this seemingly unprotected finish, how it handles the weather. should you avoid the rain, or snow, Prepare the bow properly for bad weather shooting, or is it no problem to take it out, when the weather isn't that great?
Grozer advised me: The biocomposite can take a short shower, but not a long shower...
It has a layer of laquer, but is still not fully water resistant...
And like a "real Hornbow", with animal glue, also thise new bio-polimer, and the horn and the sinew, WILL get softer, if wet...
He sugggested, I could add an extra layer of laquer...
But his assistant failed to inform, which kind of laquer...
My own advice is: You can add to the rain protection, by simply waxing it well...
However, when I waxed my Hunnish Biocomposite, the light ashe wood for the siyahs, became darker...
Perhaps because I used a "high quality guitar wax" which also has Cannuba wax in it???
I believe, plain bees wax, will not darken the wood...
But, for bringing it out for a tour, I made a "raincoat", out of a cheap green plastic tarp...
But before you buy one, you should test which poundage is NICE to shoot with, in your draw length...
I ordered the Hunish to be 40 pounds, (at 28"), asuming it would only gain about 5 pounds, when drawn to 32"
but it pulls 55# at 32"... A bit too heavy for my sore thumb, even with a thumbring!!!
Still, I simply love that bow, while I most often shoot a lighter bow, for the daily "fun and practice-shooting",
and only shoot a few shots, with the Hunnish, after proper "warm-up"...
However, my light-weight glasfiber recurve, vibrates a lot, compared the bio-composite!

This is my dream bow and I will get one when I have money for it. Master Armin, do you have recommendations for arrows for this since I plan to use it for hunting and also do you think this bow can be silenced a bit?
Pretty bow as usual with Grozer. Never been a fan of style design. I like the Yuen style mongolian with the long syaihs and short bending section would love to see his interpretation of that design. Seemed like a great shooter though! Thank you my friend for a great review as usual and Patreons for picking some beautiful bows!

Great bow, and good review, question, why would Wooden Arrows be better than Carbon, personally, I have always found the opposite. The videos of Grozer making Bows with traditional materials is very interesting, a lot of work, so the price is well worth it for the craftmanship.
usually same with me, but on this bow first time I liked wood arrows more :)
@@ArminHirmer I like my Traditional Bows, but Carbon Arrows are great, last time I shot wooden Arrows was 25 years ago with a 120# Longbow, didnt have a choice then!

An awesome review and a fine bow. I like it. I don't think the brace height being shorter would matter. With the string bridges and the angle of the syah being so forward. I don't know, just guessing 😁
he always makes his bows that it is right, so I am not worried about the brace height at all :)

Crazy that it is that fast w. 10 gpp and not faster with lighter. Hmm…Looks like a bow that could easily do 34”

@@ArminHirmer Dissolved horn (waste) which is pressed again mixed with other materials. The tendon part is made in the same way... ;)

I'e been looking into buying a bicomposite bow, would you recommend this one as the price is something I could afford and usually bows like these go for much higher prices it seems.

loved the review, Master does the bow having a higher than recommended Brace affect its performance ?
thank you. not at all. the 7.5 inches are just a number, but when you get the bow, the brace height is always just right for the bow
what's up with the string angles what do they prove or disprove?
If you are pushing something with your whole body your body leans into the object at a 60° angle naturally. Most efficient for strength with that angle especially throwing heavy arrows like the chinese manchu bows who's string angles were always at 60° at full draw

@@hambone950 no problem man also structures are built with this angle too. However with a bow the longer draw length means more momentum unto the arrow even if its past the string angle so ya it matters more with some bows then with others
