Thank you for a superb review and especially for the 10% off code. I just placed my order for one Armin. My daughter and I watch all of your instructional videos and review. Brilliant!
Good looking bow for a glass bow. Nice shape great curves. Like I said last time this Yuen style is really starting to grow on me. I can't wait for a company like Alibow to start bending fiber glass like they are in Indonesia I really think they could make some awesome designs relatively inexpensive. Thanks for another great review as always. Hope you find that Turkish I'm really looking forward to the review on their upgrades.
@@ArminHirmer I've never missed a review since I've subscribed. Most informative channel out there with regards to eastern style archery and Asiatic reflex bows. So no thank you Armin for the great community you started here. We all appreciate it!!!!!!!!
Alibow has a clearance sale for this bow right now! Although it wasn't really in my budget, I ordered one:D (35# at 28"). Not going to make another purchase for a while. Really. This one, plus my Snakes and Alibow Tatar (fiberglass), will create my learning rotation for the summer:) I hadn't seen this review yet. Nice one.
Armin again another excellent video I had just ordered the Crimea Tatar by Alibow but it was not delivered yet but after seeing this video I now want to change my order to this bow.I was very impressed by the curves as you said. Thanks again Armin.
Do you have a comparison video for the different AliBow options? They all sound decent and look similar. I've shot archery in the past but don't have a bow currently. I would like to learn thumb release and also just shoot western. Since prices range $70-150 and different regions/eras represented, how does one choose?
Hi there Kevin, if you haven't bought a bow yet I might be able to offer some advice. From Alibow's fiberglass options, this bow seems to be Armin's top pick. It also is one of the most expensive, up there with the "advanced manchu" which would be a good pick if you're looking for a "cheap" manchu bow with a very long draw length. All the other fiberglass bows seem to be decent, as their price reflects. I have a laminated bow from alibow, so I'm going to buy a fiberglass one in the $70-$100 range for my friends to practice with. It won't be a huge bummer if it gets damaged. If I didn't have a laminated bow and didn't want to spend $300 on a bow, I would get this bow, the Yuan. Nice compromise.
What about hand shock? This one bow I've been using has been giving me quite a bit of pain in the bow hand when I shoot so if you have advice on that go ahead. Would this bow be good for, say, 40lb draw?
So, the Alibow Tatar Bow remains the fiberglass bow 10 gpp speed king, at 50.9 m/s (167 fps). I had a feeling this bow wouldn't take its crown because of how close those string bridges are to the limb's tips. Great review as always.

Hey Armin, If you have to chose one "Horse bow" from AliBow between this one and the Advance Mnachu Yarha - which one do you think is more universal "enjoyable" shooter? Thanks
Very precisely reviewed.. this Bow reminds me Mongol fiber glass Bow from Alibow..which was my first Traditional Bow I purchsed after watching Armin's review... And i think this one is also the same Bow with upgraded long Siyahs... Should i change the siyahs of my Mongol Alibow? ... 😁😅 And giving 167 fps is too good for a epoxy fiberglass bow.. as i have seen such speed from laminated Bows.

I have a Mongol-Manchu style bow, I have not shot it yet, it's been two years, bow specs are: 65 pounds @ 28, and goes all the way 74 pounds @ 32, 32" arrows: 40 grains each, according to information on the web, arrow speeds are 227 fps @ 50- 100ft, if anyone else has bow like this and shot it can you give some true stats on this bow, I would appreciated, thanks.
Seen something odd @ time stamp 13:39 to 13:48 : Look at the arrows in the target as Armin Shoots and said, " I don't think so",. Did anyone else see Smoke or a Mist??. I don't think dust would of stayed in the area in or in a cloud about the size of an avg. fist In the time between Each arrow hit. I'm still trying to understand How dust can keep it's Cloud like State with even light wind?? I guess the tarp on top could be a factor.
Going to have to start building your own :) - Sign me up for a pre order Also, this bow is alot similar to my nomad bow I currently have - lovely bow enjoyable to shoot and , packs a punch.
I just love a short bow that can handle a long draw. Especially at such an affordable price! Also, I was wondering Armin, are bows above 60# illegal in Malta, or do you have to obtain some sort of special permit?
@@ArminHirmer Have you ever heard of the tertiary or secondary draw style? It's kinda like a pinch draw but you use the pointer, middle, and third finger to assist drawing the bow while also pinching the arrow. You also shoot on the left side of the bow with a right handed draw like Mediterranean. Are they're disadvantageous to this type of draw? I haven't tried it with a heavy bow but I get almost 2 more inches of draw with a lighter bow. Just wanted to see what your opinion was.
@@jarridcarter5001 if I'm not mistaken that would be the way the plains tribes shot there powerful hornbows. But most of the time it was a shorter draw 22"-24". I think personally, my opinion it would be a weaker draw for a heavier draw weight with a full draw 28" or more , mainly because of the egronomics of the draw hand in realitive position of the draw shoulder. On the right side of the bow it resembles the Slavic draw except for pinching with the thumb. In my experience compared to 3 fingers Mediterranean or thumb release my hand doesn't comfortably line up with the bow my draw hand and draw shoulder it feels weaker and less controlable. I'd love to here how it handles with a heavy draw wieght and a full draw. Please keep us informed! The plains Indians seemed quite capable using it though. I love archery history and theory old draw techniques , ways of handling the bow and arrows ect. Ect. Ect.
I re watched this video today and apparently I gave it a thumbs down by accident before. My apologies. Don't know how that happened. I never give thumbs down to anything on TH-cam. So mistake rectified and a thums up. Anyway, is this the design influenced by the Manchu?

I don't think dust would of stayed in the area in or in a cloud about the size of an avg. fist In the time between Each arrow hit. I'm still trying to understand How dust can keep it's Cloud like State with even light wind?? I guess the tarp on top could be a factor.
Molding hay :)
Going to have to start building your own :) - Sign me up for a pre order
Also, this bow is alot similar to my nomad bow I currently have - lovely bow enjoyable to shoot and , packs a punch.
Really nice bow for the price 😊
Thank you
I just love a short bow that can handle a long draw. Especially at such an affordable price! Also, I was wondering Armin, are bows above 60# illegal in Malta, or do you have to obtain some sort of special permit?
not illegal, you need a licence

@@ArminHirmer let me show you its features!!
I know it doesn't relate to the video but I got a question about draw styles if you dont mind answering?
sure
Ect. Ect.
I want that bow
Me too :)
@@ArminHirmer Soon... Soon, it will be mine.... 😶

let me SHOW YOU IT'S FEATURES!!!
Is it just me or does this bow resemble the Persian crab bow a little
close yes
I re watched this video today and apparently I gave it a thumbs down by accident before. My apologies. Don't know how that happened. I never give thumbs down to anything on TH-cam. So mistake rectified and a thums up.
Anyway, is this the design influenced by the Manchu?
It's an early Mongolian design. Not sure who was first. But the design overall is a bit different
Why is it forbidden to have a bow over 60 pounds?
Its not forbidden, you just need to register the bow and have a small gun licence
@@ArminHirmer In America they are trying to take our freedom and guns. We will not stand for that in Texas.
This looks more like a Mughal bow😮! calling it a yuwan would be unjust😅
You have some terrible customs in your country !!!
