Very helpful. I just bought this mouse cause I saw it on another video but needed to see how easy it was to program. Thank you. Can’t wait to get it in the mail and start editing with it. Was considering the blackmagic speed editor but it is way out of my price range.
The programmable buttons are time saving. I switched from pc to mac earlier this year and this mouse has made the transition easy. Same buttons do the same short keys so my learning curve was shortened.
thank you, I didn't know before this video, that you can choose for which app are the buttons thank you, I didn't know before this video, that you can choose for which app are the buttons
Hi, congratulations for this video. I wanted to ask you if it is possible to program the left side wheel to be able to scrubbing on the da vinci resolve timeline, i.e. slide the cursor back and forth on the timeline. thanks
i am upset now with myself cause i have been editing photos and videos for 6 years now... and only now im doing the jump from cheap mouse to this.@@JaredHoyman
Eyeballing the MX Master 3 for its thumb wheel. Can the thumbwheel be set/programmed for zooming the timeline in DVR? My typical DVR workflows utilizes a lot of timeline zooming. (I am using the MX Anywhere as my daily and really like it, the magspeed thumbwheel is amazing in daily task usage, especially when paired with the Black Magic Speed editor, and ESPECIALLY for multicam edits, the speed editor is a must. Been trying my wifes Logi MX Ergo, now over 40+ hours on it and try as I might, I can NOT get used to a track ball, fumbling all over it's not natural for me to use in my work flows, editing, or any daily work, AND the scroll wheel :? .. right out of 1995[/i]).
There is so much I could be using the thumb wheel for andI went so simple with it....I use it for volume control lol. I should custom it specifically under Resolve for timeline scrolling. That would be a good idea. BTW...this is a million times better than a track ball.
This was healpuful, since I am currently just learning video editing, and I need to upgrade to something beyond my apple mouse. Heads up that your amazon link is broken. Thank you!
hi, i see you have the tamron 24-70g2, i have the same setup with an r6, have you noticed a yellow tint on pictures and video with your lens? if so how do you correct it?
How sensitive is the mouse to unintentionally zooming in and out on the viewer within Davinci Resolve? I hate how sensitive my Mac mouse is to zooming in and out when I am scrolling across the screen within Davinci Resolve. It's so annoying.
just purchased and installed but there is no Davinci among the configurable software. There are all possible software, even the calculator, but not Da Vinci!
@@contemarcula I'm going to try to walk you through it the best I can in text. I'm not a trouble shoot help desk, but I'll try. First, make sure you have the correct logi app because there are two and one is out dated. Make sure it is Logi Options+ not Logi Options. The correct icon is purple. Once you are in the app and you added the MX Master 3S look to the upper right corner of the window. You will see four dots, which is the global settings and to the right of that you will see a plus button. Click on the plus icon. Once you do that you will see EVERY single software that is on your computer. Look for DaVinci Resolve and check the box, then hit "confirm". It will be added to the top right next to the "Global Settings". Now when you click on the Davinci Icon you can customize the mouse specifically for that app. You will know you are customizing the mouse specifically for that app because there will be a purple line under the app that you are editing the mouse for. Let me know if that helped.
@@JaredHoyman Thank you, you were very kind. Unfortunately I have already followed this whole process several times and also tried other solutions but it doesn't work, all the software is there, even the calculator, but not Da Vinci. I wrote to support and I hope they will help me. Thanks again!
@@contemarcula I have the exact same problem. I bought the mouse with Davinci (and other Software) in mind, so this is really frustrating. Even when I try to add another software (scroll down in the software list) I can't select Davinci. It is there, but it is greyed out. Btw. I am on Mac, maybe that is a problem...

I’ve considered the speed editor too but having this mouse programmed for all my editing makes it so easy.
I have the ergo with trackball which I LOVE but the MXs side scroll and even more programmable buttons have me here lol

It very customizable per app, which gives you a lot of options.
@@JaredHoyman thank you my editing is very faster
El mouse es caro, pero con este vídeo me he convencido que puede ayudarme.
Gracias Jared, esto fue muy util. Saludos desde España.

Love this video!! is there a way to save it?
You can add to a playlist.

I don't remember seeing a yellow tint on it. I sold it almost 2yrs ago and went with the 24-70 2.8 rf.
thanks
Just sitting at the VW dealer watching. Too early to learn to edit. Just wanted to be the first to comment even though its unrelated.
Love it and appreciate it! Thanks for commenting!

Not at all. At least with me. I can't use any other mouse after using this one.

That’s odd. Have you tried running Davinci and then going into logi software?
@@JaredHoyman yes, I tried every possible way, it just desn't support Da Vinci
