June 2024 Hi, i got carried away in my other comment because i was so pleased to finally get it working on my iPadOS M2 Pro. I used AssistiveTouch pointer devices. Apple has been rolling more keyboard and more options into the OS. I do have an M1 mac but not set up. 7:49 Thanks for sharing your process. Aside from the buttons, I was surprised at how many move options are tied to going all over the screen up, down, etc. i need to male a reference log to keep up with just the defaults. Because Incould determine if horizontal scroll works, i reassigned bac and forward side buttons to scroll right and left. 11:28 yes, that tiny under the thumb is messy. Nice combo. 14:12 i’ll need to adjust speed settings in iPad. Currently i have slot 1 on my IPad mini6th and #2 on iPad Pro M2 12.9. When i go back to setting up the m1 mac mini, i’ll put it on slot 3. Not sure if I‘ll download the 3s software to the mac. I heard that there are complications. I‘m hoping that I will find enough assistive options to satisfy me. The scroll right and left are assigned to the two buttons (4 and 5) above thumb, because I am haven’t confirmed horizontal scroll works.
I had mine for about 3 years. It still often sells full price. Hurt my pocket book at the time because I also purchased the MX Keys. I prefer the PC map which has also the Mac centric keys stamped on them. Command, option etc. I noticed all the full keyboard accessibility command and shortcut keys in iPadOS. Not tonight, week. Hopedully, Apple WWDC won‘t trash my setups.
Thiis by far the best explanation of how to use the Mouse to its full advantage. Simple stuff that is put in a well thought out video. I just purchased a new mouse and I am watching this.
I watched this video a week ago and started to use the MX Master 3S to its full potential. What a game changer. This tutorial truly has saved me so much time on a daily basis now that I'm using the mouse to it's (near) full capability. Thank you x 1000!

On the opposite end, I pick up my kid's very basic mouse (i.e. $20 type deal) and it feels incredibly small. But I bet for a segment of people *that* feels just right. I'll keep this in mind if I do another mouse review. :thumbs-up:
Hey Romy, I just brought the mouse and whenever I press the right click, it opens mission control and I don't want it to do that. I want the right button to open options, like if I want to copy or paste and stuff like that. I'm talking about the button in between the rotor wheel where the left button says Logi. I'm using an iMac. I even downloaded the logic options + and its shows all of the buttons except the right and the left which can be customize.

So with Mx Master 3s you can choose exact DPI by number, not percentage. Can you choose exact DPI with M720 Triathlon using Options+? M720 Triathlon is supported in Logitech Options+ on MacOs, but at the moment I can't see exact DPI values, only percentages.
After having read lots of people having issues with this mouse, such as lagging issues, when paired with their m1 products, I feel like I am risking my $100. And most of them were reported about a year ago. I am not sure if those problems have been resolved. Does anyone face any such kind issues when paired with m1 products?
FWIW - The lagging issues aren't unique to this mouse. I've had lagging issues with many Logitech mice. It often has to do with some other device interrupting the communication flow. I get the lag issue with this mouse but it's verrrrry rare. And when I do, I flip it upside down, toggle on and off, and it's back to normal. Works every time. Every person is going to have a unique setup so it's hard for me to know if you have any devices that might constantly cause issues for you. My recommendation is to buy it and try it. If you're going to have persistent lag issues, it'll surface in the first week. If it doesn't, you're likely fine. If you keep getting lag, return it 👍
Using M720 Triathlon with M1 macbook air is totally fine, no lags even without logi options software. Tried bluetooth and Unifying receiver, best to use unifying when having USB ports available. USB hubs don't cause input lag according to my experience and detailed test in video "are USB hubs input lag monsters?"
Here's my question. This mouse can be linked to three different computers. So I link it to my main computer. Then lets say I need to reset my computer back to factory status. Now I need to pair up this mouse again. Does this mean I will need to use a different connection point or can I still use the first point where it was originally set up? I hope that's the case because otherwise what's going to happen if I reset my computer more than three times? Will that make the mouse un-pairable because I have already used the three link points?
Hi Ozzie! Sorry for the late reply. Nope - that wouldn't be a problem. You could install the software and just "hold down the button" and re-pair "over" your previous connection.
@@hijena2285 I have gaming mice but usually stick to this one just because it’s convenient. I don’t have to worry about MMO button binding etc. I’m not a pro gamer by any means so that’s part of it. For casual gaming it works for me.
Hi! Is there acceleration on the mouse and can you disable it? to further explain my concern: I am currently using a Razer Viper Mini coming from a Windows setup on my Macbook pro M1 but without the Razer Synapse bc seems like it will never be supported in m1 software wise I've installed SteelSeries ExactMouse to disable the mac's native mouse acceleration on my viper mini. Am wondering if that will also be the case with the MX Master 3s if its acceleration can be disabled with the same setup with ExactMouse? (i've read that on other forums in the past years saying that Logitech software adds acceleration after the fact when acceleration was turned of via a Terminal code)
Hey Nathan - thanks for the detailed question. The short answer is: "Sorry. I'm not sure." Long answer: The Logitech software requires you have a Pointer SPEED. This makes sense - it's the "constant" speed in which the cursor is moving. There isn't an option for ACCELERATION though (when it comes to a mouse, I think of acceleration as that weird thing that happens when the speed of the cursor changes dynamically based on force). When using my mouse the speed seems to always be constant through a single motion. If I push it hard, it'll go fast. If I push it softly, it'll go slow. Never does it change mid-push (it doesn't start slow and then go fast and then go slow again during a single push). And if it is, it's so subtle I haven't noticed it.
@@romyromes yup! that's exactly a concern of mine. I dont wanna go fast 2 inches to the right and slowly return to my starting point and have my cursor at a different location. I've Been using no acceleration for the mouse for years and a slight inconsistency in arm translated to cursor position movements really bothers my muscle memory. (this is for editing and general computer use, not gaming)
How's white mice holding after 6 month? Heard about it turning yellow in a span of couple month, because of materials used. Wanted to get white one, because I'm kinda getting tired having all my tech being black, but if it gets yellow SO FAST I will have to settle for the black one.

Sorry for the late reply. It's been quite some time but I remember thinking the main difference between the 2 were around DPI settings (with the 3S having more of a range), slightly quieter clicks, and different Logitech software to manage the mouse.
Sorry for the late reply! I don't know exactly how it may feel for *you*, but it feels good for my medium sized hands - certainly better than some of my bigger gaming mice.
I just got my mx master 3s yesterday and it is not smooth as trackpad or my cheap generic wireless mouse. I can't say it is laggy but it has tiny stutter. Do you also experience this? I tried windows, mac, usb, bluetooth(all combinations) but result was always the same.
Hey Utku, sorry to hear! I haven’t had any stuttering at all. I also have trackpads and other mice - I’ve never used the MX Master and noticed a stutter difference. Might be worth exchanging it and seeing if it’s a problem with the device. Let me know what you find!
Logitech decided that it is a defective one and I opened a replace ticket on amazon. Amazon sent the second one immediately. I got it today, tried it few minutes ago and the new one also has the issue. I uploaded the video that I showed to logitech support on youtube. You can check if you want to see the issue. By the way I haven't return the first one yet, now I have two latest and greatest defective mx master :D th-cam.com/video/idNIvJmeBAM/w-d-xo.html
@@utkuozcan whoa! I definitely don’t have that issue. Sucks that this happened. Have you tried maybe turning off your trackpad and other devices, taking your laptop into a far away room, and seeing it works better without “signal interference” from other devices? Also make sure DPI settings in the Logitech preferences are in a low setting just to make sure it’s not a DPI jumping issue
Has the design floor on the micro switches been resolved? Both my precious ±$99 Logitechs didn't last past 18 months before the dreaded random double-click issue started. Alex Kenis describes the problem here in remarkable detail: th-cam.com/video/v5BhECVlKJA/w-d-xo.html Awesome that it's silent click. With this being such a polarizing feature, when will Logitech simply have easily swappable micro switches or enclosed left / right button-units. It would be nice to have a mouse that lasts longer than 18 months. I'd happily pay a few dollars to easily swap out the button when it becomes worn out or change for sound and feel preference.
Have you got 100% when fully charged? I've returned 3 Mx Master 3S because I only get 95%, on my MBP M1 Max BT indicator and even the Logi Options App.
@@baldfvi Good news (kinda?) I literally started charging my mouse when I sent you that comment. It was at 35%. It's now at 100%. Are you saying you never were able to get it to 100%, even for a split second? My setup: MacBook Pro M1 - macOS 12.4 - Using Bolt
@@baldfvi no worries! I meant to clarify that my mouse wasn’t using Bluetooth to connect to my computer - it was using the Bolt dongle for connection (but I don’t think that matters)

I went and purchased this mouse but I have to say it's very uncomfortable - I have medium sized hands and I found it difficult to use - if it was 15% smaller it would fine - but even using the roller wheel proved uncomfortable
A year later and I'm just realizing there were so many comments I missed. Sorry. You probably already figured out your answer, but just in case. It comes with a dongle that you can use for direct pairing via 2.4 GHz, or you can connect via Bluetooth. I use both methods as I don't have a dongle on all the computers I use my mouse with, and it hasn't' been a problem.
during my installation of logioptions+, the program prompts you to allow it access to log keystroke data which I found super creepy and a big intrusion into my privacy and communications. If you deny it permissions, it stops installing and prevents you from using unless you're willing to sacrifice your total privacy and allow logitech servers to collect and retain all keystroke data of messages, emails, login in data like passwords, and financial information. There's been a reddit thread about it but Logitechs gone completely mum for years now without replying to people's privacy concerns.
This is literally the only logitech item I have bought in 5 years and probably the last. They have gone so far downhill it's laughable. Even with this mouse it is such cheap plastic it feels like it will crumble; the features are the only reason I got it. Hell, look at the new "gaming" keyboard for 200 bucks it's pathetic and doesn't even have the industry standards
@@paularaja so for 90 bucks its alright. the stuff it does is cool and so far no mechanical failures but i think i am just gonna grab the newer 180-dollar Naga Pro. I have the original wired version and that can do way more than this mouse the only thing this mouse has compared is the scroll wheel (always my fav) and the gestures. idk if the new Naga does gestures but i know a simple program that can make it have that feature. If all i did was productivity i would use it as my main. also, it is not as customizable as they all claim. When i hear customizable on a mouse i expect to be able to do literally anything.

Every person is going to have a unique setup so it's hard for me to know if you have any devices that might constantly cause issues for you. My recommendation is to buy it and try it. If you're going to have persistent lag issues, it'll surface in the first week. If it doesn't, you're likely fine. If you keep getting lag, return it 👍
@@romyromes Thank you for the answer
You could install the software and just "hold down the button" and re-pair "over" your previous connection.
possible best mouse of logitech , i think it can use for gaming too
@@hijena2285 I have gaming mice but usually stick to this one just because it’s convenient. I don’t have to worry about MMO button binding etc. I’m not a pro gamer by any means so that’s part of it. For casual gaming it works for me.
Hi! Is there acceleration on the mouse and can you disable it?
to further explain my concern:
I am currently using a Razer Viper Mini coming from a Windows setup on my Macbook pro M1 but without the Razer Synapse bc seems like it will never be supported in m1 software wise
I've installed SteelSeries ExactMouse to disable the mac's native mouse acceleration on my viper mini.
I'm not sure."
Long answer: The Logitech software requires you have a Pointer SPEED.
@@nathansantos.n8 yup! I’m in the same boat with you for all the same reasons. 👍🏽🙌🏽
I am going to adjust speed in the device settings for any options named cursor, speed, or pointer.
How's white mice holding after 6 month? Heard about it turning yellow in a span of couple month, because of materials used. Wanted to get white one, because I'm kinda getting tired having all my tech being black, but if it gets yellow SO FAST I will have to settle for the black one.
My concerns are the same. They used faulty material getting yellow in a small amount of time. May you choose not black but grey one.
Sorry for the late response. It does get dirty overtime. I made a video highlighting what the dirt looks like, and how to clean it.

Is there any problem with vertical scroll wheel like mx 3? It was working very buggy on mac
I haven't had any issues with scrolling at all
Never thought I would say this about mice, but that mouse is sexy
I just got mine today. This video was really useful, great review. Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words!!! Enjoy!
I like how every review completely ignores the garbage ratcheting on MX master 3 and 3S. Worst scroll wheel I have ever used.
whats the differnet MX MASTER 3S & MX MASTER 3S for mac bro? any different both of them?
Sorry for the late reply.
It's been quite some time but I remember thinking the main difference between the 2 were around DPI settings (with the 3S having more of a range), slightly quieter clicks, and different Logitech software to manage the mouse.
you should install Mac mouse fix to get trackpad like scrolling
Hello. Is it comfortable for small to medium hands like 6.5cm? Thx
@@romyromes Thanks for your quick reply. I'm getting touch with logitech support. I will let you know about the result.
Logitech decided that it is a defective one and I opened a replace ticket on amazon. Amazon sent the second one immediately. I got it today, tried it few minutes ago and the new one also has the issue. I uploaded the video that I showed to logitech support on youtube. You can check if you want to see the issue. By the way I haven't return the first one yet, now I have two latest and greatest defective mx master :D
th-cam.com/video/idNIvJmeBAM/w-d-xo.html
@@utkuozcan whoa! I definitely don’t have that issue. Sucks that this happened. Have you tried maybe turning off your trackpad and other devices, taking your laptop into a far away room, and seeing it works better without “signal interference” from other devices? Also make sure DPI settings in the Logitech preferences are in a low setting just to make sure it’s not a DPI jumping issue
Has the design floor on the micro switches been resolved? Both my precious ±$99 Logitechs didn't last past 18 months before the dreaded random double-click issue started. Alex Kenis describes the problem here in remarkable detail: th-cam.com/video/v5BhECVlKJA/w-d-xo.html
Awesome that it's silent click.
Whuuu? No way!? I don't think I've noticed. About to start charging now and see what happens.
@@romyromes Let me know. Thanks! I'm running the latest Mac OS.
@@baldfvi Good news (kinda?) I literally started charging my mouse when I sent you that comment. It was at 35%. It's now at 100%. Are you saying you never were able to get it to 100%, even for a split second?
My setup:
MacBook Pro M1 - macOS 12.4 - Using Bolt
@@romyromes yep, nothing. M1 Max, Mac OS 12.4........ Using bolt? What's that sorry my ignorance.
@@baldfvi no worries! I meant to clarify that my mouse wasn’t using Bluetooth to connect to my computer - it was using the Bolt dongle for connection (but I don’t think that matters)
Did the white mouse get dirty?
Sorry for the late response. It does get dirty overtime. I made a video highlighting what the dirt looks like, and how to clean it.

Is this the normal version or the for Mac version
This is the normal version
@@romyromes thank you
Worth upgrading from master 3X 3?
If you have a perfectly worming Master 3, I don’t think it’s worth upgrading to a 3S if that’s what you’re asking?
How does it work with MBP M1 chip ?
I haven’t noticed any issues at all 👍🏽
@@romyromes Thanks Romy, Should I get the MX Master 3 or 3S for my MBP M1?
@@star95 I think they’re both great options. I don’t have enough experience with the origins model, but I like the click/sound of the 3S for sure.
I went and purchased this mouse but I have to say it's very uncomfortable - I have medium sized hands and I found it difficult to use - if it was 15% smaller it would fine - but even using the roller wheel proved uncomfortable
There’s no dongle right
A year later and I'm just realizing there were so many comments I missed. Sorry.
You probably already figured out your answer, but just in case. It comes with a dongle that you can use for direct pairing via 2.4 GHz, or you can connect via Bluetooth. I use both methods as I don't have a dongle on all the computers I use my mouse with, and it hasn't' been a problem.
bro missed the main part, enabling smooth scroll.
hah. bruh. I am toooo old for smooth scroll. it feels slippery to me lol
Do not get the white one! It gets nasty so quick. Yellows worse than AirForce Ones
during my installation of logioptions+, the program prompts you to allow it access to log keystroke data which I found super creepy and a big intrusion into my privacy and communications.
How is the mouse.
Christ you need a university degree to use a bloody mouse 😮😮😮
This is peace of rubbish, I have a problem on the scrolling wheel
I cant stand seeing a review where they chose to buy the extremely UGLY white version.
