    I have the same power bank and although it's in mint condition and has barely been used it refuses to do anything. No lights, no charging and no output. Anker don't want to help so it looks like I'm going to have to follow your helpful teardown tips. Hopefully I can open it up and revive it because it's only been through about two cycles since I bought it and I don't want to throw out such an expensive item.
    Seems that Anker have some quality issues with their products because from what I've been reading many other people are having issues with their power banks suddenly failing for no apparent reason.

      I couldn't repair it. I tested the batteries and they are fine so it's likely to be something on the circuit board that's stopped working. I won't be buying Anker products again, feeling ripped off. Maybe I'll get the new Nitecore 20000 power bank to replace it, I've had good experience with their products.

      Weird. I don't know. What a bummer. I have two of those batteries - perhaps I'll take one apart and make a video. Have you tried charging other things with it?

    Hi, sadly my Usb C port broke off the pcb with some solderpads. On the other side of the pcb are what i think are Testpads for the Port, i would like to solder a new port on using the testoads as substitutes for the ripped off pads, but i cant find a schematic to know which pad goes where. If you could measure them it would be a giant help, but i understand that you are probably too busy.

      I am looking into this along with others that want to replace the USB-C port itself. In your case, it might not work, as I don't know if the test pads are there for all the needed connections for USB-C PD. Thanks for watching!

      @@TheCuriousEngineerChannel there are 13 or 12 test pads exactly the same amount of pads on the other side so it should work thanks for looking into it

    What charger model is used to charge the batteries in this power bank from the mains voltage in the house? I mean the voltage and amperage...5 volts on 1 A or 5 volts on 2 A ? thanks for the explanations

    I broke the C connection once jamming into a bag. I was scared putting it aside for too long was going to break the li-ion cells. I found a 90 degree usbC angle adapter and was able to make it work for a short while, just to use it a few times. Probably should have done that from the beginning. The usb-C in out port is a real Achilles heel on this powerbank. Anker now makes them with 2 I/O ports on newer models.

    What type of batteries Anker using for this product? From the pink packaging it looks like 8 Samsung 30Q batteries together. However their capacity is 3000 mAh, times 8 is 24k mAh

      Check out the full teardown in: Total Teardown: Anker PowerCore+ 26800 PD (Part 4). See Description above. Since the pack is 26,800mAh, it is 8 x 3350 mAh.

    I have bought 2 ANKER products in the pass, I wasn't impressed...this 26800 PD charger was a complete let down. At the time it got lots of advertising hype and I bought into it and got stung. Just operating this power bank is confusing, ok I'll admit I'm not great with electronic gadgets I kinda want things to just plug in and work, but this power bank was very confusing to operate plus when it did work it just about charged my phone twice. Wouldnt buy ANKER again. Bought a ANKER multicharger and it burned out after a little while leaving a smell of burning plastic everywhere plus smoke

    • @pieplay
      @pieplay 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think their multi-charges are overpriced. As for powerbanks they do a great job but you need to know what your phone craves: VOOC, QC or PD. For example Iphones need a special chipped cable to do PD with lightning. Whereas Oneplus sometimes favors USB-A ports over C ports, depending on the Anker powerbank. This was one of the first laptop charging 20v powerbanks out there. That's why I have it.
