  • The best portable battery bank for your iPhone, iPad or MacBook isn’t going to be the most popular Amazon product. I’ve tested 12+ of the most popular 10k to 20k mAh battery banks on Amazon and here are my top picks!
I’ve based my ranking on 13 criteria including price, charge speeds, efficiency, size, heat, cables and extras. You won’t find a more detailed roundup for these battery banks!
Top 5 Portable 10k-20k mAh Battery Banks:
    #1 - UGreen 100W Fast Charge Power Bank - mreh.ca/3R1gyrT
    #2 - Anker Prime 20k Power Bank - mreh.ca/3yrbu9B
    #3 - Anker Nano Power Bank - mreh.ca/4bOB72A
    #4 - INIU 65W 20k Power Bank - mreh.ca/3VdtkG7
    #5 - Anker 733 GaNPrime PowerCore 65W - mreh.ca/3Vg0ntk
    In this video:

    #1 UGreen 100W Fast Charge Power Bank - mreh.ca/3R1gyrT
-The UGreen has a 20000 mAh capacity, confirmed in my tests.
    -Three ports: USB-C (100W), USB-C (30W), and USB-A (22.5W).
-Recharges at 65W, just 30 mins slower than #1.
-The simple battery indicator says “more than power.” What else do I need in a power bank?
-At $90, it’s pricier than average but performs well. Not Anker Prime well but not a week’s worth of groceries.
-Downsides: It runs hotter at 55°F vs. 50°F average.
-It’s large and hefty, not pocket-friendly.
-The slick finish shows grease marks easily.
-All these seem trivial when you need a simple, powerful battery bank.
    #2 Anker Prime 20k Power Bank - mreh.ca/3yrbu9B
-Performance-wise, this blows everyone else out of the water.
-Takes in 100W and charges fully in just over an hour with a 140W charger.
    -Other 20k banks? 8 hours.
-Prime has three ports: two USB-C at 100W each, and one USB-A at 65W.
-It can charge two laptops at 100W each.
-Seriously, two laptops, one battery bank.
-BUT 20,000 mAh isn’t enough for two laptops.
-It has a smart screen showing power levels, recharge time, and power draw.
-Most of this info isn’t critical, just cool to have.
-Pitfalls: Efficiency isn’t great. Anker claims 20K, I observed around 18.5K.
-It’s heavy, at 536g. The next heaviest is 480g.
-Price is $150, plus $70 for an optional charging base.
    #3 Anker Nano Power Bank - mreh.ca/4bOB72A
    -It has two ports, USB-C and A, plus a built-in USB-C cable.
-Max output wattage is 30W for USB-C, which charges phones and most iPads, and 22.5W for USB-A.
-It charges fully in about 90 mins, much faster than the average 4 hours for other 10k banks.
-Anker has placed a screen under the cover to show you power levels, unlike the usual 4 dots.
-I’m a fan of the built-in cable design because you don’t need to bring an extra cable and it feels more secure.
-No difference in charge speeds between the built-in cable and my own.
-Biggest downside: efficiency test showed around 9600 mAh instead of the 10k mAh capacity.
-Not a fan of how the back wears.
-At $70, it’s one of the pricier battery banks, but cheaper than the Top 2 and best for smartphones.
    #4 INIU 65W 20k Power Bank - mreh.ca/3VdtkG7
-Unlike the #5 pick, it outputs 65W, great for MacBook Pro use.
-It has three ports: two USB-C, one USB-A, with clearly labeled wattages.
-Charges at 45W, full charge in 2.5 hours. Some packs take 8 hours, so this is quick.
-The front looks like it has a large screen but doesn’t.
    -Soft rubber finish improves handling.
-Has a hook stand for your device during charging.
-Cons: it runs hot, clocking in at 61 degrees.
-Size and weight are its main downsides.
-At $40, it’s affordable with a 65W output, making it great for laptops.
    #5 Anker 733 GaNPrime PowerCore 65W - mreh.ca/3Vg0ntk
-#5 for battery banks, but my summer go-to.
-The Anker 733 GaNPrime has a stated capacity of 10000 mAh, my tests show around 11000.
-It uses 4 LED lights for battery level.
-It has three ports: two USB-C (30W each) and one USB-A (22.5W).
-Runs cool, likely due to its bigger size and heatsink.
-I initially thought it outputs 65W, but it doesn’t.
-It fast charges iPhones and smaller iPads, but not larger ones.
-65W output only when plugged into a socket.
-Less to carry, always topped off, and easy to locate.
-Downside: the price is around $90, almost double the average.
-BUT you get what you pay for.

How? He literally does 0 scientific testing, doesn't show any output efficiency numbers at different loads, maximum temperatures during charging, max sustained long term output... All he does is casually charges a few devices and tries to guess mAh. That's it. He also read's manufacturer's spec sheet. AWFUL, low effort video. AllThingsOnePlace has 20x less subs and shows 100x better testing and buying recoomendations based on DATA, not feelings.

It's his style. It's like reading a standard TOP 5 article, but with visuals. After the video, you can search for the product and see even more details, just like you'd probably do with the article.
You can't compare Aaron to others, it's like comparing milk to cheese. Different things.
You commented negative comments on this video for three times, two of them are very similar. Are you bored, or you hate people? If the channel is not to your liking, there's a way of saying things, or you can move along to the next video.
      Have a nice day.

@@deivytrajan He tells you the pros and cons of products. Also, he does do testing to conclude what you should buy. In the end, it’s a good channel, AllThingsOnePlace is also a good channel but I prefer MobileReviewsEh.

      @deivytrajan 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@Pavel-ex2wn the testing he does is very basic and for such massive channel is unacceptable. He tries to guess total charge capacity of mAh and measures temperature somewhere (he never tell us and only mentioned temperature of one out of 5 products) and the rest reads from the spec sheet of manufacturer.

@@Delicate141 His style of making low effort top 5 videos? Sounds about right. I bought a case for a phone he said is the best case. After using it for a bit it’s actually shit. After 3.5 years it broke down, entire time super slippery - which he never tested nor mentioned in a video… Casetify had way better cases. I was doing research about best chargers and power banks and found really good, although small channels. I saw this guy’s video as I was subbed - i thought let’s see what he shows and says. Well, 100x less info, almost 0 data shown, just “trust me bro” list and “secret testing” that I could do with a €30 tool. For a channel that probably gets close to €1000 per video, it’s a total joke and fanboys like you keep digging these videos. It’s crazy. It’s like watching Jake Paul boxing and be like “damn, he is such a good boxer, super technical and underrated”. He is popular, doesn’t mean he is a good boxer - this applies here and I’m commenting so others learn and maybe this channel owner will accept criticism and learn something, put more work in his video.

I just bought the Anker GaNPrime 733 on sale a few days ago based on your suggestion previously for exactly the reason highlighted in this video - having a battery and charge brick integrated into a single item to carry is going to be perfect for keeping a tidy travel bag. I like that it does full 65W when plugged in which matches the wattage of the brick I was already carrying anyway for my iPad Pro and MacBook Air.
My prior power banks charged gear from battery at 18 and 24 watts which is waaaaay toooo slowww for bigger devices; 30W on battery with the Anker GaNPrime just squeaks across the threshold into acceptable for me.

There is a power bank that is never mentioned, but the Jackery explorer 100+ is 100 watts (real watts, no x 1000's of mA [1 amp!]) and should be in this category. It has 100 watts of LFP power so it won't get hot, has no thermal runaway issues, and won't catch fire. Two USB type c (both bi-directional) and a type A with the the USB c's both rated to 100 watts each. And with 3000 usable charge / recharge cycles to 80%, this one will still be going strong after you have gone thru 4 or 5 of the "traditional" power banks. The jungle company has these on sale pretty often for $99. And yes, these can legally go on an aircraft and probably get you thru the longest international flights. I also have your number 2 choice as i also like Anker products in general. Great review!

For those who might be able to answer, What is something I should consider for overnight charging of an iPad Pro, iPhone and a Keyboard? Is there something that will work good for all 3 simultaneously? I don't need super fast charging but say 6hrs or so to charge them all. Thanks

Constructive criticism, you should have shown your testing methodology and the tools used to do it. From a new viewer perspective this video is mostly just information supplied by the companies. On one you mention that you actually saw the 20kmAh capacity, but no mention for the others.

I don't understand why Anker prime 20k is second, but you didn't envolved anker 737 which i use regularly and is a 24k plus the pros of the prime, charging it at 100W with 140W total output, c1 100W, and same screen 🤔 could you do a video on your opinion about all the anker powerbanks?

I would still put Anker Prime at number 1 spot for its faster output on all ports, charges faster and lower temperature. Excellent review sir. Liked and subscribed

Your top pic 100w Ugreen has tons of complaints about stated capacity. I'm wondering why that is.

problem with #3, is the built in cable over time will wear out and is not replaceable and hence you'll have to throw it out when it gets frayed or cut. The very same problem that plagues most of the Macbook magsafe chargers before they went with USB-C

I have the prime 27k which is arguably the best out there....even has supervooc capabilities for OnePlus devices. The USB A charges at a max output of 65w. I've not seen another battery like that.
Plus 200w output for laptops is nice.

    • @deivytrajan
      @deivytrajan 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

that's peak 200w output, after a few minutes it will go down significantly. Manufacturers are lying and they just mention best case scenario. Oh, it can deliver 200w for 2 minutes, after that it does only 100w, well, let's still write 200w on the box lmao.

I've had several electronic products with the same rubber finish as that Iniu powerbank and I think there's a high probability that it will gunk up and be sticky after a few years of use. Had to buy and use Goo-Gone on those darn things. Not that I'd buy anything other than Anker (though I just bought a Baseus Blade HD and it's perfect).

I've had that happen on a Sandisk Sansa Fuze mp3 player. Though it likely depends on the material composition more so than the texture. I guess we'll find out in five years! 🤣

As far as I’ve noticed, you don’t have any mid roll ads. Why not? Since you’re not sponsored by anyone, I’d imagine it’d help a lot in terms of the investments you made.
