*how true it is.
Grammar
This is an excellent short film about greed, consumerism, and scientific progress.
I love the animation style, it’s so unnerving with its realistic features and irregular movement, it gives quite an uneasy feeling.
The story itself is a world with a solution to everything. It’s scary once the downward spiral begins and we see the world unravel and revert to what it once was, only for the cycle to (supposedly) begin again.
Edit: The comments have some great insight on the dystopian ideas this video has!
Its uncanny
Yup thats the first thing i thought of it
From utopian to dystopian
I can tell you a thing or two about Utopia spiraling into death
Ape While I somewhat agree, I somewhat disagree as well. Personally, I got dystopian vibes from it.
In ways it’s like utopian societies, everything being perfect with cream, turning to dystopian BECAUSE of selfish rich assholes. It’s also not. So I’ll have to half agree with you there.
My god, i remember watching this like three years ago, and i already understand the point of this story, "behind the perfect happiness, there's always someone who only care about greed and taking all of the peacefullness for themself"
i personally would say it seems more so like even when we have a solution to a problem the people in power intervene to keep the problem so long as they stay in power
@@soggos732 pretty much what you both said is the same thing
exactly!
rich people are making money off the poor people, if poor people can do what they wanted to do, rich people couldn't make any more money, this is based true life :)
Being greedy and naughty? Take the cream It will make your morals right.
thinking about this. i feel like it represents how the media can manipulate something of beauty and ability to pain and suffering. the creator didn’t have to share his product, or tell people about the self duplicating. but he did. his selflessness was overseen by corruption and manipulation. it reflects the way reality warps even the most amazing ideas.
95% of problems in the world result from human greed. What’s interesting is that, nowadays, AI, a technology that could do all of our work for us, will probably be monopolized by big corporations. Mass unemployment will happen and the divide will deepen. Of course most people are too blind and distracted nowadays by the media to see any of this.
the creator is not selfish

@@mauriciagarcia6175I bet your favorite show is Cops
Its funny how much truth is in the ending. Like how a narrative gets changed so easily by the media and the rich.
By the rich, the media is just the tool they employ.
Greed always ruins everything
.aGREED
It's not greed. It's government. Control of the masses. A hierarchical plan from divine consciousness itself. One someone at the bottom may never understand just how important it really is to save humanity from itself. Sin is everywhere to test us all to see how faithful and pure we truly are, and so many of us give into that temptation and prove just how necessary the greater good through sacrifice truly is. All of this "bad" in the world is there to purify the world on the fly throughout time itself, and its necessity will never go away. "Satan" is a fundamental purity tester to make sure we all have a purpose in life by saying no to the temptation, and following a higher path.
I thought that there'd be a problem with cream. Until I realized....the media made the problem.

It slaps like the cream
It's our reality.
@@spyrospyrospyro123 What? That proves nothing, just read my second reply. You’re just imagining a scenario in which something is bad, then thinking that that scenario is real.
@@pepelepede2743 That logic is extremely faulty. You can watch this, imagine that the cream is actually any real thing, then, by your logic, it could show literally anything to be bad.
This could be a whole "Black Mirror" episode, and I wouldn't bat an eye
This is better
@Grad Tolentino I know there were a couple of episodes where the real "monster" was just a man. The biggest example that comes to mind is the one where the Parliament member has to have intercourse with a pig.
Also, the cream itself is the tech needed to make this a Black Mirror episode.
@@jessicahill6207 a little glad I don't know what Black Mirror is XD

Love death robots would make more sense
In the end the most powerful people in the world don't really care about making it a better place. In the end all they care about is making a profit, and a world without problems isn't profitable.
Indeed
It's not really the profit so much as the relative wealth to others and the power that it buys them. They'd be fine with $1 if everyone else only had a penny.
@@Kaylakaze of course wealth is relative, but I can't see what that has to do with anything he said? He didn't say anything contradicting wealth being relative, nor did he even talk about that subject. And it is still about the profit no matter wealth being relative or not, a $10 profit is still a profit like a $1.000.000.000 profit is a profit.
@@mikkel6183 He said they care about making profit. They do not. They don't need to MAKE anything. They just want to HAVE more.
Dam u creamed urself
this hits hardd it's like no matter how much we try to cover up our problems with temporary fixes we’re still left with the same broken pieces underneath kinda makes you question how much we sacrifice for the illusion of perfection
I personally interpret it as the upper class keeping lower classes in states of suffering just to maintain their power over others
That wasn't the point, there were no temporary solutions, cream was THE solution, but the rich and powerful didn't like having their power becoming obsolete
@@toomsterr yeah sure the rich were scared of cream more like they were scared of how messed up the whole situation was lmao
@@nisa-weirdo Wdym "yeah sure" that's literally it, the bad news about Cream were made by them as a fake propaganda and slander so they'd get rid of it
@@toomsterr looks like he fell for the propaganda 💀
i think one of the most interesting aspects of this story is the fact that the creator made the cream duplicate itself instead of just duplicating it in secret and selling it for more profit, the cream clearly had high demand, everyone was using it, shows the creators intention in a subdue way, he didn’t want to make profit he just wanted to save the world :(
The cooperates didn't like it,so they brought a bunch of cap in to scare the people. They had no proof but the fear injected into the people was enough. It made them re-evalutae a perfectly fine thing into something terrible
It's a real hard message to hear

@@SirCatto how could you say the n word
One issue, if people all injected themselves to become smarter, and cream cures general stupidity, shouldn’t the people have caught on to the lies instead of being gullible? Other then that, such a perfect story that really shows how society can hive mind because of the word of the “higher” class
I assume that those who crated the fraud also profited of Cream and knowing how to create a perfect illusion for the public
Main part of how media blinds people. Remember when the Kyle rittenhouse case was happening and TikTok tired to make him look racist by saying he killed Africa americas when he only killed white people?
Perhaps the intelligence was only relative, cream could have corrected that they only needed to be smart enough to solve whatever task was at hand
That depends on what you define as ‘general stupidity’ and if you can consider gullibility a part of stupidity
@@seraph2765 Too the level they were in this, blindly believing the triple the aids and food piracy thing, yeah I’d consider it common sense to try and at least test this
It's interesting how cream works. Cream itself is essentially perfection, but whatever is submerged in it doesn't become cream, but a sentient being of energy. This means cream respects the value of life and has a moral code deemed "perfect"
Could you explain what you meant a bit more? It’s so interesting.
@@tea-zv6hm I think what they mean is that if Cream can fix anything and improve anything to no clearly defined limit, then cream itself must be absolute perfection itself. You can’t get better than Cream. So you would think cream would turn everything else into cream too, because that’s the best thing to be. But that wouldn’t make people happy, that’d be a grey goo scenario.
This cream, this intelligent and all-improving substance, has enough of a moral code and intelligence to know that becoming cream is undesirable despite cream being the best thing there is. It’s perfection incarnate, and it has morals.
Only God is perfect 🙏😌💞

@@SamuelBlack84 yeah because rockets that go to space, weapons that instantly kill, and ever improving health that stretches our life span is going nowhere right?

Ah yes, the implicit formulation of dynamic wave computational elements allowed time step size to be selected according to accuracy requirements
no doubt, one of the best works of art ive ever seen.
Plot twist: cream was just coconut oil with serotonin
exactly - just a placebo - we all want to jump on a "miracle" cure that doesnt exist
@@myfairlahey5738 a placebo so good it revived the dead, duplicated money, and ended world hunger
@@quantumfool9773 yeah with that it just makes it seem like it was actually just some insane multidimensional thing that somehow can be burned without it improving the fire.

Automatically I think of antidepressants. They can work “too” well and you feel no motivation or emotions if you take too high of a dose.
“If every pork chop were perfect, we wouldn’t have hotdogs.”
“When everyone’s super, no one will be.”
This is how I feel on antidepressants, I just feel nothing. It did heal the anxiety, but not the apathy
