    Everytime I hear someone saying they're a perfectionist to justify their procrastination, I think about Kyle. This is what a true perfectionist looks like, someone completely obsessed about their craft, they don't really have time to think about how perfectionist they are.

    • @einehrenmann6156
      @einehrenmann6156 2 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Completely Obsessed with their craft but claims his pattern welded steel is damascus. Looks amazing but i die a little on the inside everytime he says it. Damascus is to TH-cam-Swordsmithing as Folded Steel is to Weeaboos.

    • @einehrenmann6156
      @einehrenmann6156 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@SatanSupimpa It's rather the opposite. My life is so good right now that every little thing that bothers me gets to the surface, as there is nothing else on there.
      Also misinforming people is serious, even when just claiming to use a diffrent type of steel. People that create content for people should be held to an impeccable standart.

    • @MrHugo9397
      @MrHugo9397 2 ปีที่แล้ว +46

      @@einehrenmann6156 Alot of words loose their original meaning, i think its fine to call this damascus, but just mention the real damascus if your talking to others. The fact that real damascus isnt common nowadays and hasnt been for a while is why we call this damascus, not that big of a deal really

    • @einehrenmann6156
      @einehrenmann6156 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrHugo9397 Yes it is. It's a entirely diffrent type of Steel with a rich history being confused to standart modern steel simply welded to look nice. It's like saying Romans had A2 steel. Damascus didn't loose it's meaning, people just lie (either by incompetence or malice) about the steel to attract unknowing Viewers who then take their false narrative as fact and spread it. Lying to your audience should be exposed and stopped not excused in comments by saying "It's not that big of a deal". That's how you end up with people believing the Earth to be flat or that Vaccines couse Autism. We should be better then that.

    What I like about his work is that he doesn't just stick to what he knows and just make pretty blades in slightly varied ways. He attempts completely different things and has the imagination and skill to make it become reality. Sometimes I wonder what his ratio is to design and engineer what he wants and how he's going to do it compared with the actual construction of them.

    This knife is perhaps my most favored knife you have made so far. The classic Royer style Bluing and Gold inlay of the bolsters, the Royal Purple and royal blue anodizing of the Titanium Liners and the beautiful File work that is intensely highlighted by the Blue surrounded by the Purple, and of course the Purple and Black Carbon fiber Scales; and the Feather Pattern is my most Favorite design of Pattern welded steel blades, and it is, by many accounts, the simplest of the patterns to make, yet the result is simply captivating! Everything about this Knife is stunning, right down to the Amethyst Crystal in the Thumb tab. For someone like Me whose Favorite Color is a deep dark Purple, this knife screams to me : "Buy me! You know you want me! Am I NOT You favorite Color? DO I not have your Favorite designed Damascus steel blade? you know that a Royer Blade would simply never depreciate, but only increase in value, it would be an investment like no other, and a conversation piece when you have visitors over, and it would be a worthy Family Heirloom for your Son too!" Damn it Kyle! Why! Why did you make it Black, Purple, Blue and Gold, with a feather damascus blade!?!?!? If only I could afford your work!

    Love the attention to sound design, the fact that you overlapped the sound after speeding up the video with the original, non-sped-up sound, was very appreciable to me!

    I may not love the aesthetics of that knife, but goddamn the craftsmanship is impressive. Taste is individual but anyone with an appreciation for craftsmanship can see and admire the level of quality and detail that has been put into that knife.

    This is by far the most beautiful knife I've ever seen. This is several orders of magnitude above what 99% of people who do this type of work are capable of. This is also one of the few times where I see something like this and say "I can absolutely see why it sold for 10,000 dollars."
    Holy shit man. Well done.

    Incredible skill! WOW! I didn't even fast forward at all, like I do with 99% of TH-cam videos! I've collected knives my whole life and now at the age of "gettin' old" I am very curious about making knives. I can't imagine EVER being at this skill level, but half this, maybe ;) Thank you for the video and now I'm researching more things you've done! Just way cool!

    Absolutely amazing.
    Really no words can describe.
    Two different things really strike me.
    First of all the absolute beauty.
    But absolutely the most scrutiny perfection. And attention to every detail. What I am saying is definitely the most beautiful folding i've ever seen.
    But also very confident that mechanically it is perfect and will last the test of time
