    Thats a handsome knife. Well done. I was hoping to see a bit more of a locking knife but i like this one just fine.

    You should make a knife with purple heart wood.

    That was some unconventional knifemaking and I was glued to the screen because of it. I like the process and the outcome!

    Awesome work my friend 👍 im about to do my first folder and your video really helped. I think I'm probably going to try one like this. Thanks

      Thanks man, that is realy nice to hear! That's the hole point of making these videos. I wish you the best of luck with your first folder, dont be surprised that some frustrations could be envolved in making these things, they can be a real pain in the ass, but its a great way of learning new things and in the end you gain a lot of fulfilment! Good luck and thanks again!

    The way you timed the machining noises with the soundtrack was really creative. Cool video, thanks!

    Bro absolutely brilliant. The template you made was well clever. And when you made the brass washed that blew me away I'm going to us that idea. Thanks for the upload BRO

      Thanks dude! Well, I searched a long time to find propper washers, and finaly desided to try to make them my self out of an old piece of thick wire. And they turned out perfecly! It wasn't easy to get them to the right thickness tho

    • @ryanmcgrath339
      @ryanmcgrath339 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bro I can imagine trying to get the right thickness when you first tried that idea. When I see you do it on the video I had a smile from ear to ear. We all know how hard it is at times to find the correct washers. Have a good one Bro

    At first I didn’t get why you welded it but then I saw how clean it looks. Nice job. Still think putting threading and using screws is better so u can clean and oil it regularly but this can be done without disassembling too I suppose. Ur video deserves more views

    • @featherstoneproducts6833
      @featherstoneproducts6833  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I get your point, but I went for pins instead of screws for a cleaner look and because the mechanism is rather basic and indeed easy enough to clean. Also because this is just my second fonding knife ever made and I lack the experiance of using screws. However, my first folding knife, wich is basicly the same as this one, I made over 2 years ago and cary that one everyday with me ever sinds, and never got problems so far.
      Thanks a lot for your feedback! Greatly appreciated!

    Hey mate, I was just wondering what material you use for your pins, and also what size are the holes and the diameter of the pins??

    • @featherstoneproducts6833

    The knife could have used a kick at the sharpening choil to keep the blade from touching the back spring dulling the cutting edge.

    What kind of metal pins did you use?

    • @featherstoneproducts6833
      @featherstoneproducts6833  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I used stainless steel pins of 4mm and 6mm and one tube of 6mm for the belt clip to fit in, wich is also made of stainless steel and the same 4mm pin

      Hey there! Thanks a lot! I designed this knife all by my self, I drew it out in Sketchup and 3D printet the parts to be shure everything fitted correctly. It took some trail and error to get to the wright design and measurements ofcourse.

    4:54 the knife blade hits the spring and the edge becomes dull

    • @featherstoneproducts6833

      7:57 you can see how I made the choil in the blade that perfectly fits on the pin when closed. That way the blade never touches the spring
