    As you may know, the video and audio production has gotten better, that is because of all the people buying our courses. we were able to upgrade some of our equipment and it makes me really happy to try and make each video a little better than the last!!! Thank you for your support! Also, shameless plug. If you want to level up your knifemaking, get one of these courses.
    This knife was inspired a lot off of our Beginner Bladesmith course. you can check that out here. www.learnknifemaking.com/pl/2147586190
    Or if you rather make a more advanced knife that will challenge you to enhance your skills, check out the Take-Down Bowie course here. www.learnknifemaking.com/pl/2147585940
    Lots of love, ~Josh Royer

      I can't wait until a big knife company makes a CNC damascus making machine so that I can find knives like that in wal-mart... but if they do China might invade us instead of Taiwan.... lol

    After the recent huge builds, it is great watching this "simple knife" build. like watching a master martial artist execute a basic front kick. The practice and skill is all there filling the simplicity of the task almost to bursting. Great Job!

    I am sorry if this upsets you, you made a work of art, I would not be able to use this knife as a functional tool for fear of marring the surface.

    • @RdeneckTech
      @RdeneckTech ปีที่แล้ว +9

      It is made to be used. My stepdad made beautiful chopping blocks for several family members one Christmas, and I was the only one that used it. To this day(about 8 years later) I use this chopping block everyday. It is art, but it's also functional. An unused tool is a useless tool. Just my opinion, however, I do understand your point. Using a beautiful tool sometimes feels like destroying art, however, the use adds character to the art.

    • @jeffreyallen6449
      @jeffreyallen6449 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@RdeneckTechI also think the way you do. I can understand his thought process and logic and it is completely fine but it's kinda like having an absolutely beautiful car and never driving it. I'm not saying to drive the car into the ground or use the knife until it brakes,I'm just saying why not appreciate it in every way possible,even if only on special occasions. I have some very beautiful, rare, expensive and one of a kind possessions and I feel like if I let them sit in the same place and just simply collect dust forever, it is doing said objects a disservice and letting it's full potential just go to waste. With that being said,I'm a true believer of the saying "to each their own" so by no means am I judging you friend. Good day and happy new year to all who read this.

You have established your own style… this is to the point that he taught his dad how to make knives and I can Kyle all over even his dad’s knives. You can see them and instantly know it’s a Royer…. Amazing… and yes I’m obsessed with knives so look at rather a lot

Kyle Royer (Probably the best modern day knife and sword making channel on YT) and That Works (they use old world methods sometimes in their creations)... with a once in a while watching of a couple others, such as Freerk Wierringa and Tyrell because of their skills .. I love the attention to detail all of these channels have...Thanks Kyle for sharing your talent and skills with us....
