I think the worst part of being with a narcissist is coming to the realization that the whole time they were playing with you.
That’s the hardest part to conceptualize. The ability to deceive a person on such a level is demonic. To keep up a facade for years or even decades is beyond inhumane.
Exactly I agree. It actually hurts. But it teaches you that Mental Illness is real. The narcissist is really weak emotionally they just disguise it.

I been with two. The second was really good so no I was fooled, there not all the same. Some are so good you won’t know for a few years.
I believe she means once you come to the realization that you were dealing with a narcissist you began to discover narcissists qualities and can discern other narcissist. I dealt with three before I discovered narcissism and now I can definitely discern one, not necessarily easily but when the Lords Spirit is within you you will know by their fruits. And if you love God you won’t be deceived because you’ll be so focused on His law and righteous path amen.

@Jade S. yes!! My sister's husband is a narcissist! He's horrible! He fuses all the time like a woman! Nags about everything. He doesn't like waiting in line. He blows off the handle about the slightest inconvenience.
He only thinks about himself and his needs! My sister is stressed, overworked, overwhelmed, anxious, depressed and it's all because of that man!!
Something happens to women that don't put their foot down. She's now a shell of who she used to be. He governs everything! She used to have a good job as a surgical tech, but he removed her, claiming they were making too much money and made her quit!!! She got breast implants to HIS liking, rushed her to make a decision about them too.
She got really sick with covid, and we were all super worried, would you believe he got upset at her because by being sick, they were behind on their product, they have a business. She slept in the living room and not once did he check up on her to see how she was doing. She would call me telling me how scared she was because her oxygen levels were going down and she felt that her lungs and heart were getting weak. He thought she was just being dramatic!!! Fucking bastard I can't stand him! No one in our family liked him!
He manipulates her. Buys her things and when he gets mad, he destroys them! Calls her all kinds of names when he gets mad.
It's my sister's fault for putting up with him.. I'm tired of telling her to leave him. She complains about him alllll the time, from day 1 and it's been 14 years!!!
I no longer entertain her bs. She has to feel the lack of support in order to really come to.

I was married to one for 33 years. He had the preacher fooled, the 15 counselors we went to over the years..everyone in the community thought he was such a good man, and I was the crazy one! I finally left and now he's sick all the time, seeking a doctor to give him a pill to make him young again. He called me every name in the book. I knew he had a problem because he couldnt look in the mirror, but I didnt know what it was. Now I know. Thank you!
Sounds like at that time, the counselors weren’t aware of this personality disorder as many are now. Thank God for advancements in the mental health field. I’m sure a few may have thought back and had realizations..you know your truth. That’s what I had to realize eventually.

The Narcissist is an extremely dangerous person with the control, manipulation, devaluing, discrediting tactics. I was with one and didn't realize it until I started hearing about this behavior and discovered his sickness was causing me poor health.

I spent ten months with a narcissist in 2020, and I still get the chills. It was the most horrific and confusing situation I had ever encountered in a relationship. I would never ever go through this again, because I was schooled well and that being said I thank God for allowing me to go through this relationship, because I am wiser and definitely know the signs and the demon that comes with the narcissist. We are different, but I truly can't understand how someone can be with a narcissist for a long period of time. If you are in a close relationship with God I believe you won't be because the Holy Spirit is going to set you free if you are living a life in Christ. If you are practicing fornication and that person is a narcissist Satan is a happy camper, because he has you where he wants you. Please leave ASAP, it will only get worse.

Your post sounded like I wrote it. I spend 10 months with a narcissist also. I was out of there before the 1 year mark. I loved the guy but couldn't put myself through it anymore. The signs were clear. He had some deep rooted issues that had nothing to do with me. I love me too much to keep in my space such level of toxicity and disruptive state. It was a lesson well learnt. I am stronger and more resilient. My pain wasn't wasted. Cheers to our freedom. x

You will get better. I know it's hard but you must keep moving forward in tears. I also have two children and I put up with him for 30 years. and looking back I'm glad he left me when my kids were young because I was able to raise our two beautiful children that are truly good young adults.

His words and actions showed me he hated me thought I was so weak and stupid sending me flowers would win me back.
I was in a mental/emotional relationship something I don't wish on anyone. The narcissist that I was involved with for almost 5 years blamed me for everything he never took accountability for anything. He never apologized for his actions he would only see my REACTIONS that was caused by his ACTIONS turnaround and block me, not speak to me for days sometimes week(ghosting). He never apologized for his behaviors. I felt he hated me. Then the humiliation and embarassament eventually started. It got so bad I no longer shared things with my family and friends. I realized it was a lustful and manipulative relationship. I am still trying to heal and move on. Everything Bishop said is correct the gaslighting, manipulation, etc. God bless all.

Going through the EXACT SAME THING FOR 3 YEARS- I ACTED OUT BECAUSE HIS LACK OF CARE AND ACCOUNTABILITY. NO EFFORT OR RECIPROCATION yet he asked for small favors and I wasn't getting anything out of it- I'm trying to leave him and forget but it feels overwhelming and my heart breaks anytime I think about him I keep blocking him then unblocking 😢

Wow this is so spot on!! When U said, they start to treat U like they hate U. So true! I remember telling my EX one time that he treated me like I was his enemy. It was so crazy! Back them I just couldn’t figure out what was going on with him and why he would treat me that way when I was nothing but good to him.

Mr. Blake’s this man had me in spiritual counseling for three months we will go to church every Sunday. We would pray every Morning. This man was a Sunday school teacher in prison he often will preach the word of God he claim to be holy than thou. The whole time in spiritual counseling, he was cheating with several women. I nearly lost my mind, but I have God on my side. He still continues to think that he can manipulate me. He’s out to destroy me because I’m the one who pulled the mass off.

Yes you will never know where you stand with a narcissist. Regardless. I have cut off my sister and I noticed I started soaring and flourishing afterwards. Whenever she would be in my life I felt my power leaving me and felt confused. Now I am free. I still love her. But to be me I had to leave this relationship. If I cannot be me without offending someone that person has to go. She sent a bday card to my son today and I said thanks I love you and I'm praying for you. Nothing back from her. You see unless she can control me she doesn't want me. There is no authenticity. She has some narcissistic traits and I am in therapy. She refuses therapy. I cannot help her but I will not let her pull me down and drown me to save her life. No no no. I have a right to a happy drama free life with those who love me and I can love them back. Love shouldn't hurt like that.

You are telling the truth-
When I first met mine he claimed to love me so much and then he slowly started behaving like he completely hated me. He had my all there for a while, until I started seeing the truth of what he really is. It took me a long time to break away and get away from him. Anymore if we do talk anymore he runs me into the ground anymore and I just can't take it anymore. I know damn well I'm not a bad person at all. I have been trying to stay away from him and stay in no contact. I have no interest at all to talk to him at all. He makes me feel depressed and like shit these days. I can't stand him at all. I'm at the point where I completely hate him anymore.
This was meant for me at this time. Got one in my life now and I have been thinking all day I need to just walk away. Confirmation!

This is heavy pastor and also very scary. My mother tried to warn me of these types of people and I thought she was crazy. I’m so thankful for this video and I had to call my mother and thank her for her prayers and concern. This a serious mental illness and I’m not qualified to deal with this, so I’m going to continue to stay away from this person.
What if the person who is a narcissist is a parent? Where do you place them in your life, and still honor thy mother and father?

What I learned from being with that person is, everything he said to me was a reflection of himself, “ If you want something to play with, buy yourself a toy” was his favorite saying. Been with one 2 years, started the abuse right when he married me, expected everything, I was going to be the best wife ever, he had it made. Haven’t seen or heard from him, 2 months, last year gave me trauma, which has been escalating, he strolled a lot from my childhood home, filled it with junk. They will kill steal and destroy everything they can. They change from one min to the next.
The most intense spiritual warefare, they aren’t too bright, completely controlled by demons.😭🙏🥵the hook in the head and emotions is a constant battle. Will never ever apologize.
26:45 the first time I tried to break up with my narc ex, he threatened to go to my apartment and unalive himself on my bed. The pattern of suicidal threats continued as well as faking injuries and panic attacks in any moment that was uncomfortable for him. Once I started calling 911 since he obviously “needed medical intervention” all the panic attacks, injuries, and suicide ideation would magically stop. He eventually even stopped doing that all together after a few times of me trying to take him to the hospital

He only has spent the night with my daughter or gone to a function for her to take a photo op.
She will not even let him speak to us.

I was raised by narcissistic grandparents and narcissistic parents. I suffer from C-PTSD in a result. As an adult I immediately fell a victim to a narcissistic employer and narc. boyfriend. I lost my health and my hope for better life. I know God can do everything, but I really wonder if I could be genuinely loved by someone. I'm a deeply hurt, broken person. I can't work due to my health issues. I'm in my early 40s and... yeah.... It's hard to believe that the best is yet to come. Please, pray for me. I desperately need physical and emotional healing. And I need to learn what does it mean to be loved, also loved by God.

I have been in a 2 year relationship. I love him. We were seeing each other and communicateing regularly but now it's only when he wants, he use to make an effort now it's only texts messages usually emojis only. I pull back, but he leans in. Occasionally, he will do these things for me: help me financially, give me money, help me around the house like mow the grass put together a bunkbed. Then he will disappear and not communicate but only when he wants. He has never been abusive not in speech or action but refuses to make plans, or keep plans, or voice call or make any effort in the relationship, but says he cares about me and misses me. He says he's going through hardships, is damaged and he can't communicate regularly, he says he just doesn't operate that way. I am exhausted. What am I dealing with?
