Yeah I must admit when I was looking to buy it I had a look online and there wasn't a great deal of reviews on it, found that quite surprising considering it's price.

I actually own this monitor I purchased it in Dec , I like it my only complaint is the color accuracy , I have a Dell ultrasharp U2415 right above it on a dual arm and the color wasn't great compared to my Dell out the box and needed to be configured. Besides that monitor is great and an amazing value.
Yeah I was a bit similar regarding the colour, not that I wsd unhappy with it out the box but more with trying to get it to match the monitor above, still can't get it right but it's not bothering me that much. Great monitor though and as you say, great value for what you get, appreciate the feedback 👍

Great review. I think the new OLED monitors will cause price reductions in existing models. Worth hanging on till the end of the year?

Not so sure about this coming down in price later, only reason I say that is that the 34" Ultrawide that I had for a few years is still the same price today as it was back then 😬, in saying that I think this MSI was originally being sold for around £450
Hey, great review. I actually prefer it being flat as you can mount it on the wall. just a quick question, how does texts look on it? is it sharp enough for normal productivity?
Text looks good on it, I use mine for gaming and work and the text all looks sharp, for what I paid I'm really pleased with this monitor so far.

@@BrisyTechBytesthanks 😊. Also curious, how deep is your desk? I’m trying to figure out if this will be too big for me and my desk or if I should go for it. The alternative is MSIs G2712 , but I’m scared the pixel will be showing on that after reading reviews, have you seen that monitor too?
@jennyj1348 my desk is 635mm deep, monitors are mounted on a moubt attached to the table, if they were wall mounted I could get them a little further back.
Yeah I've seen that other monitor you mentioned, seems a really good price, can't say I've looked at any reviews of it though.
Great review, really thinking about getting this monitor myself! I was wondering what the height is from the stand to the top of the monitor? Bummer this cannot be adjusted and mounting it is not an option. Thx
@millynac Tjabk you, appreciate the feedback. When you say mounting isn't an option, do you mean not an option for yourself? Mine is mounted on a stacked monitor stand clamped to my desk.
With stand attached to the top of the monitor the height is 530mm or , just over 20 inch and 3/4"s
@@BrisyTechBytes Thanks i appreciate the reply. I should of clarified better, mounting is not an option for me as i sit in front of a window. My desk is all glass as well so i'm not certain i could use one of those desk arms as well.
@millynac yeah I'd never risk mounting anything on a glass desk unless it was specifically designed that there was a mounting point seperate from the glass, real pity in this case that the monitor has no height adjustment 😕
I want to buy this monitor but I'm not sure about the size. I'm not sure if 40 inch is too big or ideal for 3440x1440p resolution. How does the text look? Have you had any problems with text clarity? And how far away are you looking at the monitor?
Text clarity is good on this monitor, it wasn't a major factor for me but I did wonder if the text would look more pixilated due the different in pixel density between my old 34" and this monitor, but the figure difference is marginal.
Regarding the distance, without measuring if say I sit a couple of feet away, think you can see that in the video although when gaming with a controller I tend to sit a little further back.

Can you please sir. Enable MPRT you would need to disable Freesync to use MPRT in some cases. Is a strobbing feature you can go to ufotest/ghosting to see if you like the image better. I wanna know when you enable it if the resolution and the size of the display still prevails or it changes. I wanna get the monitor in amazon prime day and I wanted to see if that features was good enough. Thankyou
As an entry level 4k monitor, would you reccomend this? I have a 30 inch flat screen TV I'm looking at replacing with this, to compliment my second 28 inch curved monitor.

I have this monitor and it’s awesome I am currently looking for a good desk and mounting arm for it !!!
@-avion-5624 might up having to buy a new mount for it myself, I have a stacked monitor set up and this 40" screen is just a tad heavy, mount wants to tilt forward no matter how much I tighter in, will need to buy something that can handle a bigger load.
How long were the cables?

@chriswilliams8121 it's not officially compatible with G sync but it does offer Dynamic Refresh Rate which I believe is a similar to G sync

I need a moniter for warzone fps. Wld this be good? Right now on sonyx90k 120fps.
@michaelallen2221 for a 1440p 40" ultrawide that runs at 144hz and 1ms response time it's excellent for it's price, of course of you are prepared to spend more you could get better.

@@michaelallen2221 Can't personally comment on the G5's but they seem to get good reviews...and more reviews of them. One of the reasons i decided to make this video was down to the lack of reviews on this monitor, bit of a gamble buying one but have had no complaints so far and that was me coming from a 34" curved utralwide before with very similar specs

@mulutsegaw that's one major disappointment about it, only seems to have tilt adjustment, can only assume that they expect folk to be using wall mounts

@JeremiahRodriguez-gi4mu I think the appealing bit about it is the price, can only imagine if it was 4k the price would be a good bit higher and might then not be such a good option 😕
