Coolermaster Masterbox 500 - Is It the Ultimate budget PC Case?
I’ve tried pairing the mini hub several times now. Via the WPS button it just doesn’t want to know and I just get an error message on the app and to try again. Via Ethernet it seems to pair but after around 20 mins it “unpairs” itself and flashes aqua. Am I doing something wrong? It’s driving me nuts!
@@davebell1041 I've had one occasion where the smart wifi hub lost connection with the smart hub pro and just wouldn't reconnect at all like you are experiencing....I ended up resetting the smart hub pro and set it all up again and the smart wifi connected after that and haven't had a problem since...have no idea what the issue was.
3:54 the tattoo 恋仲忠, any particular reason ?
@westfind was told at the time of getting it that it reads love, friendship and loyalty...although I was working with a Chinese guy many years ago and somebody asked him to translate what it says, he asked me first what do I think it says then walked off laughing when I told him 🤣
Hi stu, a fantastic, enjoyable and informative video many thanks, i've literally just switched from talktalk to EE mainly as i already have a EE sim only £35 contract which was ending very soon so i took advantage of EE'S combo deal, unfortunately i only get part fiber at 74mbps max speed (same as talktalk) EE broadband £29.99 and home phone unlimited £18 and my EE sim unlimited All rounder plan is now down to £22 per month rolling contract , i wanted better wifi signal coverage in my apartment and the smart hub plus does give me better wifi signal strength than talktalk however i'm still considering upgrading to the EE's pro router as its a mesh system is it not? Or would i be better buying a mesh system separately but do they work with my smart hub plus? As my new mobile phone will be wifi 7 compatible many thanks Nick
They make that way too complicated. I remember my first "better" mouse from speedlink ages ago. You had a tiny software set everything up pressed save and everything was done.
I am about to go over to 500gbp , I have BT smart hub that will be ok for speed just a matter of couple of setting in software . I couldn't get an EE smart hub Pro(SH40J) , but as i wanted futureproof , I bought a new one myself . Going to pair up with TP-Link X50's as no sence buying another router as these will just pair with the EE hub . Wifi 6 and 6e are fine as wifi 7 is not really supported yet by devices . It is also nice to know that each bandwidth can be renamed so you can choose with signal to use for equipment . For the price , no sence purchasing a seperate router , when the EE smart hub surfices.
Thanks for showing us these settings, I now have everything almost how I want it. Has anyone been able to find a way to prevent the motherboard leds from flashing rainbow while the PC boots up before RGB software changes it to our chosen settings when we log in? The only option is to disable it altogether and not have motherboard RGB even when logged in 🙁
why every i shut down my pc, next time it turned off the bios AURA setting is reset?
@aghibong try turning it off in the Armory Crate software rather than the bios as shown in the video...as soon as armoury crate kicks in it will override any changes you have made in the bios.
You are the best thank you
I'm worried my cards starting to overheat. Starting to get around 85+ on an fps shooter after an update and cpu update. Ran great for weeks. But now I'm also wondering if that's what a black screen means..- yet the pc is on Cleaned the dust checked my fans, wondering if the way theyre set up is not proper.. Wondering what's next 😢 hopefully not this
@olliej914 no harm in doing a repaste, 10 minute job and it could solve your issue for little to no cost
I most nervous about the amount of thermal paste needed and the thermal pads condition 😅
looks nice. 👍 unfortunatly i am still not sure it would look nice on my config.
Just picked up a non-ice verson and waiting for it to arrive. Cheers for the review, looks amazing! 👍🏻
thanks pal
Thanks man. You helped me a ton!
Thanks! The Armoury Crate Shutdown RGB led worked! 👍🏻😁
Thanks a lot for this review! Believe it or not I managed to snag the very, very last one from the only shop in the entire Croatia because the manufacturer doesn't supply any our shops here anymore. I called the guy that evening and asked him if they had the one with the Blue Switches and he said they had the very last Endorfy keyboard which was this one with Red Switches. I ordered it immediately. 2 hours later it was gone completely from that site and I checked other webshops, nothing, completely obsolete! Looking forward to it when it arrives! Thanks again!
hello there. I wonder if you can import a macro including text to the onboard memory? i failed to import it and only combination keys works. thanks.
A tip for reviews: make the keyboard sound test part longer (real typing experience) and press in both directions and in the middle of long keys like spacebar.
Your description is wrong. The 5900X has 12 cores and 24 threads. This is also a one sided comparison. The only thing the 5900X has going for it is that you can put the game on one CCD and let the other handle the rest resulting in a bit snappier browsing whilst running games or similar. Edit: Cleaned up language.
@Hockexx thanks for pointing out the error, it's a tool I use for auto generating video descriptions and totally missed the core and thread count mistake, now rectified.
Nope got same one off amazon for £69
Did it come with a mouse pad
Thanks a lot
I won't lie the only reason I ended up on this video was to confirm I got the right motherboard. When I first opened the box I thought I got scammed because the board was so grey and not white... but then I realized after 5 more seconds of your video that the sleeve the board was in is tinted... well shit. Anyways nice showcase!
@123yopey ha ha...panic over, enjoy the new board 👍
Can this Monitor run 10bit color at 144Hz or only 8bit? I had a Asus TUF Gaming VG34VQL3A 34 that I had to return due to a screen defect(VA panel had many dead pixels after little use), was pretty much same price but had 10bit color at 155 and 8bit up to 180Hz. So I was wondering if I get this instead, could I at least get 144hz at 10bit color or any 10bit color at all.
@HK94 only 8 bit colours on this screen I believe
@BrisyTechBytes Appreciate the feedback.
This has frc so 1.07 billon colors but 8 bit, similer to 10 bit, 8 bit normally has 16 mil
mate great video but there is a problem for me. i can’t change the rgb strips color, brightness, speed, and mode using the remote control. is there a software that i have to download? do i have to press a few buttons to make it work?
@footballfan12340 nope no software needed at all, without sounding silly have you made sure the little plastic tab has been removed on the remote that isolates the battery? Can't remember if mine had one but you've no idea how many times that has caught me out. Only other thing I could suggest is new batteries in the remote, after that I can only guess it's a faulty desk, just double check all the wiring is connected at the bottom properly though and where it getting powered from
@@BrisyTechBytes i have made sure that the plastic tab is out, and it’s still not working for me. im gonna try getting a new battery
Excellent guide. Had me scratching my head for so long but you laid out the exact steps perfectly. Thank you!
@stevenhong1717 appreciate the feedback. The G-Hub software definitely isn't the most user friendly software but as once as you know what needs to done it does the job 👍
Crazy thing is I had the complete opposite experience with CityFibre. The installation was perfect and went off without a hitch. I’m with Toob and I get symmetrical speeds of 940mbps up and down. Unfortunately, Openreach tend to cap upload speeds for some reason.
You've saved me a lot of head scratching. Much appreciated
nice build mate
Just fucked BT off 13 years non stop and they have really fucked me about fibre 900 paying 65 plus a month speeds 200 top speeds! Multiple engineers all talking shite. My car charger drops off the WiFi because the range is crap on the disks I have 4 in the house. Load of shit. Checked with voda 48 quid super power WiFi 6e BT offer me no deal said the best they can do is 50 a month and still get the shit speeds. My neighbour pays 35 a month and gets faster speeds than me.
For anyone watching this video to fix their GPU fan issue of it reaching 4000rpm and sounding like a jet engine: YES! This fixes the issue! It took me a few months to build the courage to do this, but I finally had enough a few days back and ordered the paste and IPA solution. Adding the new paste took me 2 hours from start to finish but I took it nice and slow picking the card apart AND took my sweet time to clean the old paste off. It can probably be done in half the time. Despite my looming anxiety about breaking stuff it all went smoothly and now the annoying jet engine sound is gone, and it honestly wasn't even that hard of a fix! I've been running my GPU at 100% for 20 minutes now and my GPU fan speed doesn't even pass 2400 rpm. Thank you so much for posting this video! I'd be too scared of taking my card apart if I hadn't watched this!
@Jenpaii_ glad to hear you done the repaste yourself, you'll probably be kicking yourself that you didn't do it sooner after realising how simple it is...enjoy the quiet gaming and thank you for the great feedback 👌
switches are not hot swappable.
@dukelerr you are indeed correct, I didn't even try to remove any of them, saw other Thock keyboards advertised as hot swappable so just assumed this was the same.
I cannot comment on the wifi7 hub but crossing from the bt homehub 2 to the ee wifi 6 hub everything got worse so much so much so i have to reset the hub every few days just yo keep the landline phone working which we never did with the smart hub 2
why
i mean why i can't change drone to turret weapon even i pick up the turret?
Thanks. I just ordered this and I am hoping to replace some Deco X55's and a TP-Link router. Your review is excellent!
@petecoventry6858 thank you, much appreciated 👍
I just wished we had more options for all white in general for the mid tier board, like NZXT N7 B550/B650E. I prefer the cleaner/simple style like them. I know Asrock has the new x870/x870e white boards, they look better than the previous gen, but they are still not quite my favorite style! And many boards just look to barebone/black board with white heatsinks, like some of the ASUS, MSI ect. I got to add i do see a fair amount of white boards, when googling, but they often are hard to come by in my region. I hope more will come after CES 2025.
@bergdk237 actually have to laugh at my own video, the day after I posted it 2 of the stores I had stock reminders set up for got them back in store 🙈, could have saved a little bit of money as Amazon was slightly dearer, never mind. I'm actually surprised there isn't more all white options. Like you I looked at the Asrocks boards, was tempted to get the B650 Steel Legend a while but glad I held off to see what the X870 boards had to offer.
@@BrisyTechBytes Yeah, how is navigating in the bios been like? i read a lot of gigabyte bios being laggy!?
@bergdk237 no issues for me, I did have to update the bios to the most recent one but I can't say I've noticed any lagging. Must say I do like the layout of the bios on this board, just seems more clean and user friendly that the Asus Strix board I was using before.
@BrisyTechBytes nice
@@BrisyTechBytesI had the reverse issue, every store in Australia didn't get the pro ice on release only the pro and the eleite ice. I ended up getting it on a really good deal on amazon, now everywhere has the ice board in and it's more expensive lol
go to armoury crate, click your motherboard, turn off shutdown effect...
This monitor looks great for a low budget price! Is this monitor compatible with te new Mac Mini M4?
@Horvath_Tibi I believe the Mac Mini M4 has HDMI and Thunderbolt 4 connections, this monitor has 2 HDMI ports and a USB-C (DP Alt) connection which is compatible with Thunderbolt 4
@@BrisyTechBytes many thanks for your fast answer! So I will buy me one MSI MAG401QR monitor... it's really good for this price!
@@Horvath_Tibi enjoy the new monitor when it gets delivered 👍
Wow your set up is CLEAN! I'd literally pay someone to come and set mine up like this. My controllers and cables are all over the place. I do need a new desk tho but having problems with finding a deep desk for larger monitors so it's not right on my face. Haven't even found one that has over 65cm depth.
@twistedelegance_ thanks for the feedback. You looking an actual desk or something similar to mine made up of drawer units and table top?
@BrisyTechBytes Probably a desk, I'm disabled so handy work is pretty difficult for me to do. It doesn't have to be some super expensive gaming desk, just something that is deep enough for a large monitor or two 🙏
@twistedelegance_ Ikea have a few desk 80cm deep like the one below, actually looking at that it would be quite good for yourself being disabled as it can be set to different heights www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/utespelare-gaming-desk-black-80507627/
That accent is so distracting in a very good way 💦
What size screwdriver did you use
How is the reaction time with the keyboard?
@jojishi.Official not quite sure how you'd measure that to be honest as it's down to the users reaction...if it helps I did try the keyboard on clickspeedtester.com and the lowest speed I got was 16ms
I was looking for the answer for the same question but havent found anything yet, so if you know anything about it please inform me.
Which size philips screwdriver did you use?

@@ScouserStreamz Wallpaper Engine on Steam mate 👍
@ lovely builds dude I have the same case what screen u using internally?
@ScouserStreamz it's a cheap 1920x480 screen is got from AliExpress, don't think I paid much more than £30 quid for it....I actually have a video on my channel of how I installed it in this case, involves a little bit of butchering the case though so you don't see the cables 😬. Link to the screen should be in the video th-cam.com/video/NSLVL_93juc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zOVlje4um1qdcwpo
Thanks for this review. I've been looking for an affordable replacement for double 27" this will be the one 👍
Do I need to use both box's please let me know thanks
@xtreme1913 all depends on the size of your property, second box is just really an extender, although as I mentioned in another comment, I placed the second box in my sons room, he has a Xbox Series X and the WiFi on that is capped to about 250mbps, when he connects to the extender via ethernet cable he gets the full Internet apeed
Ok thanks so you can just pair them together yeah@@BrisyTechBytes
@xtreme1913 yeah, very easy to do with the WPS button on both boxes...the app also runs through the instructions on how to pair them 👍
@@BrisyTechBytes ok thanks for your help
I wonder if that would be possible to connect directly to a USB header on the motherboard.
@hockey1973 for the power mine is powered off an internal USB, HDMI still goes outside the back case and plugs into the graphics card. Next motherboard I'm just about to buy actually had an internal hdmi for this very purpose but would still run the cable outside as it's way cleaner in my opinion.
