Thank you guys so much for showcasing my NSX. I can attest that it is certainly a very special car. Definitely the nicest thing to dwell in my garage...a garage usually over-filled with acquired taste jalopies. Another awesome film boys.
I'd have to take the C8. Brand new with warranty, customize how I like, and it has much more technology and features than the rest of these cars. My second choice would be the 360 with a manual followed by the R8 V10 with a manual.
I know the definition of supercar is mid engine. As an Italian i am very proud you use the footage of Davide cironi for the ferrari 360,one of the best TH-camr in italy, i suggest to go check out his videos
I submit to you as a mere peasant: the Alfa Romeo 4C and the Lotus Exige/Elise. Both are far under $100K and may not be as powerful as your examples, but they look more expensive than they are, make great noises, and are anything but slow, especially on a nice back road.
I actually really like the i8. People love to hate it because it doesn’t have 500+ hp but to be honest, it’s a lot like the original NSX. Less power, but more usability, and probably more reliability than other comparable cars. Plus it’s not like it’s as slow as people make it seem, it still does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds.
Demode Gaming But I feel like you could actually drive an i8 everyday. People get too caught up in horsepower and 0-60 times.. I know those are what sell cars but still, sometimes the overall experience is what matters. Plus, having a 3-cyl hybrid is cool, who said eco cars couldn’t be cool?
I have never wanted an overpriced Ferarri; however, I have long fantasized the idea of owning a McLaren, Lotus, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, C5 Chevorlet Corvette, Audi R8, or Acura NSX.
I'm lucky enough to have been able to afford my dream car, gated '07 Gallardo, and these guys are right, for the money it's the best supercar out there!
You guys have been the best part of my day. Thanks a lot! What about a video about the different versions of muscle cars and its pros and cons? These days it seems that you can get muscle cars in all flavors, to appease to every possible kind of buyer out there...
A cool follow up to this video would be to see which is the most economical to keep alive for a year or maybe even five years. Its less cool if a supercar is sub 100k if it costs 10k a year to keep it going. You can argue if you can afford an 80-100k car you can afford the maintenance but that’s always relative. I think this gets even more glossed over when you talk about cars that were 70-100k MSRP which you can get for under 50k now, but carry huge maintenance costs like the audi S6 that has the V10.
Not a supercar, but I just bought a Z4M Coupe (S54 FTW) during quarantine so I had something to drive during all this downtime. Quarantine car buying is very interesting! Basically bought it unseen and untested, had it delivered and let it sit for the recommended (by standards at the time) 3 days to be safe from COVID, and then took it to a mechanic where it sat for another 6 days (3 days before they worked on it, 3 days after). Luckily, it turned out to be a fantastic car, and I get to spend my days driving now. Although getting gas requires gloves and hand sanitizer, so it truly feels like a different world.
Love (& own an i8) but it’s an exotic not a supercar. The corvette has supercar performance BUT it is no way a supercar by any definition. Just like the GTR has supercar performance but most people would not consider it a supercar.
