    What do you think- should we share more vulnerable moments? Should we have a community sauna?? Let us know your thoughts!!

    • @nicolereed8707

      I am definitely an advocate for more vulnerability online!
      I was definitely touched to see the human struggle side of building your business. (As long as Chelsea is okay with crying on the Internet!)
      I think it’s important for people who want to emulate what you’ve done to see that it’s NOT all sunshine and roses - it’s blood, sweat, tears, stress, and sacrifice.
      So I appreciate seeing the human and vulnerable side (because I assumed it was there). It normalizes others struggling and being vulnerable with their struggles too.

      As for the community sauna…
      I used to, as a teen, go to a retreat at a hotel that had a community sauna. And used it.
      Back before Covid - I belonged to a gym that had a shared sauna - and would’ve used it except it always had hairy old men in it and that made me uncomfortable. Lol.
      I think it would probably get some use but my gut says it depends on the people and circumstances of the stay.
      How I would evaluate it is this way: would whatever else I chose to do with that space add MORE value, more amenities, to the guest experience than adding a sauna? Or…not?
      Given that you’re already looking at add a jacuzzi, you’re already encouraging guests to come to the space naked-ish (in a swimsuit, lol) so I don’t think it’s a huge stretch to think they might use the sauna too.
      I am wondering, though, if a “cooling off shower space” might be a good add since you would have two “hot” things in the same area. Idk.
      Those are my thoughts! Im so excited to see this update video and the barn looks so amazing!
      Cheers to your continued success!!!

      @@nicolereed8707 Thank you! I mean it feels embarrassing for having a temper tantrum or meltdown on the internet and I kind of laugh and cringe at myself but you know I thought it may help someone who is going through a similar journey or maybe having a tough day or maybe someone will laugh at me but at least I might get them laughing lol! We will share more realness as we progress! Things have been crazy lately trying to build two sheds so we haven’t been filming as much but we have some video ideas coming to fruition soon!! It definitely is work non stop and no balance at the moment, but Andrés and I really balance each other out. He really enjoys the building, and I really don’t! 😂 But I like all the behind the scenes, filming, editing, social media, designing, all of that and he doesn’t as much so it works out 😂

      @@nicolereed8707 Great ideas! We actually were wanting to create a pool where we currently have a natural spring so that’s a bigger dream that I currently don’t know the logistics of. It sounds like a really amazing fun idea but not sure what it would take labor wise and cost wise.
      Well shoot. Now I am thinking maybe we need to create a separate space that’s a little more private for the jacuzzi and that it would add more value and make more sense so people might not feel so exposed? I have new ideas now I will present to Andrés 😋

      Thank you Summer! This is Andres and I totally understand what you mean. Chelsea and I have talked a lot about stuff like this but when we met I was the more entrepreneurial and she was more of the job person and no side gigs type of thing. Then through books and podcasts that I would listen on long road trips she became interested and started to understand what I was trying to do and talking about so it didn’t sound like I was totally crazy haha. I think a soft/slow approach overtime on these kind of things tends to work. Thanks for watching our videos and hope to are learning a lot!

    I like the barn part , what do you do about bugs, flies and mosquitoes?

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately in the barn there is no really good way to keep those out. We will spray quite a bit and often to keep spiders from settling all over the furniture and other things. Mosquitoes haven’t been that bad here and they always hang out over the grassy areas and not over gravel areas. The over 100 light bulbs hanging over the barn are fairly soft light bulbs so we will see how many bugs they attract over the summer when the bugs get crazy. Overall, it is an outdoor space in the smoky mountains, so there will be bugs But we will prepare guests buy staying that ahead of time in our Airbnb information packet

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      But as far as inside our tiny homes we have a bug screen so guests can keep the doors and windows open without worrying that bugs get in. ☺️

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a really good point because as we have more units in here there may be group of friends or families that rent 2 or 3 of the units at the same time so they can all hang out together. Depending on how everything goes with the utilities I (Andres) may have “free” time and go ahead and build it. I actually would like to use it myself right now since it started to get really cold!!

      @@buildfixflip Andres - that’s another thing I was thinking about. Having it in the community area means your family could use it. 😂

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@nicolereed8707 I agree about putting another one by our house. And I meant that I would use it now while it’s not open to the guests. I think it would be weird to use it if the guests are here. Kind of unprofessional
