    I appreciate you guys so much. You have shared so much valuable information. And I love watching your family doing all of this together. I am 66. I have had 26 acres paid for for over 10 years. I let Life get in the way for too long. Moving forward now. It’s never too late. I’m getting ready to launch. And you have helped me so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    Thanks for this. So many hosts are posting hype videos with 90%+ occupancy year round and I just dont think that's a realistic expectation for most. Good to see some believable numbers and breakdowns for once.

      @@buildfixflip I have 2-10x16 Amish sheds with lofts like yours, and I have 2 -13' Bell tents. My location has a 12x32 Mancave with full bathroom, cooking area, and home theatre with big screen and theatre reclining chairs. Outdoors I have a gazebo, large deck (I will enclose and screen), 2 fire pits, 40 acres of thick woods with hiking trails and streams, and a 12x28 gym. @@buildfixflip hey there. Question I have not seen mentioned in any videos that I have watched yet: "What is the extent of your interaction with folks when they rent for a weekend?" Do you do an initial, meet & greet, walk through, and that's it until they leave? As little interaction as possible for your privacy? A couple of my "set-ups" will be closer to my home than yours are, and I have a "community fire pit and grill set-up" that are visible from home. I am debating individual set-up with each Glamp site. Just curious:)

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@serenityfarmsprepping2267 it’s a mix. Sometimes I am around the property and most people say hello and like to chat for a little bit. If they are in the barn hanging out and I pull up I will go introduce myself and say hello and we tend to talk for a few minutes.
      I really like getting to meet them but for the most part people come and go and we never personally talk since we are not here full time.
      People do really like their privacy so if you can give them those amenities in a more private form I think people will appreciate it. And if you have the luxury to offer both i think that’s the way to go

    I've been waiting for updates from you guys! I was looking forward to having a air bnb vlog channel and that's when I found your first few videos. We don't need another Robuilt so don't feel like you have to do all that he is doing. Just document what you've got going on and share it with us. I'll be here for it anyway and I'm sure a bunch if others would be too. You guys remind me a lot of Life Uncontained with am Air BNB twist.

      yes very true. The math is different there because a business will have a lot of deductions most likely. In a w-2 you can safely assume 20% tax bracket for middle incomes... in a business it's much harder to do that unless you have a full year of expenses and can determine any other factors that will affect the taxes paid.
      But this is no different to someone saying they make $60k a year or $5k a month... that's pre tax.
      hardly ever will a 9-5 employee talk about their take home pay.

    Thanks for sharing your numbers and it was good to connect with you earlier this week. Are you using a channel manager to avoid the double bookings that you mentioned? So far, your plan is very similar to mine in that the long term plan is to have the majority of bookings from my website. Keep up the good work.
