The seats folding flat makes it far more useful than the Model X.
This is a great looking SUV, probably the best in the entire MB line up, finally they've made an EV that looks the part. This will be very successful, looking forward to getting one.

The EQ models are weird to me cause the EQS is in person is closer in size to the CLS then a s class and this looks smaller than a GLS
the new toyota sequoia capstone might outclass this mercedes. I think mercedes have too many IT tech professionals and not enough luxury feature innovators on their team. They are like a ship lost at sea being tossed about by the waves of pointless gimmicky "kids tech" features.
Nice looking ride. Rather expensive though. Actually enjoyed her chilled out presentation style. Good video. 👍

Autotrader has imho the best presenters. Legouix & Reid are the absolute best in what they're doing. Excellent and very informative video.

Initially I wasn't happy that Rory isn't the only presenter but now I really changed my mind. She is calm but still informative with good knowledge and nice expression. Really nice video keep it up and don't leave Rory out of business

Guess Rory can't handle all the duties of reviewing car or Autotrader wants more videos being put out. While I understand the reason, I still prefer Rory's reviews with all his energy and enthusiasm
If I had the money, I certainly wouldn't buy the Tesla. It'd either be this or the upcoming Audi A6 Avant E-Tron.

@@yes8032 Go with the Taycan, it's made in the same factory as the E-Tron GT and base model Taycan is £10K cheaper than the base model E-Tron.
Which is ludicros given Porsche's heritage.
This design language works much better in SUV form

I enjoyed driving the EQA but I’ll stick with the X mainly due to the charging infrastructure
Holy fuck I want this SUV. Frankly I'd be happy to have almost any new electric car, but this beauty has everything I could ever want in a car. And it's quite pretty for an SUV in terms of design. But that interior is absolutely insane. The sedan seemed far less luxurious in the back compared to the SUV (although the front seats are comparable). All that technology and refinement makes this perhaps the most luxurious SUV on the market right now. If I were rich and had a family of my own, this would be my daily driver.

Not a fan of the massive surfboard screen (I prefer physical buttons as you don't need to take your eyes of the road to operate them), but an absolute A+ for presentation. I hope to see more reviews presented by Alexandra Legouix.
£7K for the infotainment screen? Lawd ah mercy!! Even if i had £130k I'd be pretty miffed about that option cost. Apart from that, nice car and presentation.

I wasn't sure about the other Mecedes Benz Ev Designs because they Focus more on Aerodynamics over the Looks but this one is a Slam Dunk , a Home -Run all the way Inside and Out. That is the EV i would buy from Mecedes

Great video presentation and a very nice car if you want to spend that kind of money , but in the real world not to many takers, I just bought the Genesis GV60 last week for about half the cost of this and it does most of what this car does it has a beautiful fit and finish and all the toys . Thanks for the video .
Genesis are the Lexus of EVs and going to kill it. Just look at the response to the IONIQ 5 and EV6 has been.
@@GudieveNing Yes you are correct , I have the Ultimate AWD Ioniq5 on order I have been waiting for almost a year and its still going to be sometime next year, that why I bought the GV60 I was very lucky to find one .
A GV60 is a compact SUV while the EQS SUV is full-size. You're comparing apples to oranges here. To get more realistic, the EQB's starting price is $2,000 less than the GV60 and comes with a lot of the bells and whistles as well. The only real difference there is the charging speed in the GV60 is nearly twice as fast.

I am not sure I have ever failed to see the doorhandle in the dark.
The boot is listed as 565 litres which is the same as a GLB and more than 100l smaller than on a GLE. So, quite small. I'd want more space for luggage.

How are the performance? Are they anything similar to the tesla model X? Or porsche taycan S? The only thing about the Merc EVs is that they dont seem worth it?
Unless we get major improvements in battery technology. EV's will never become mainstream. Introduction of solid state batteries will be a great way to start off.
Needs to be cheaper around 80k starting like the the gls ur paying too much too early to adopt electric compared to the eqs
I don't like how you showed the seating space. When you show the second row seats, you have to tell how's the driver seat positioned. And when you showed the third row, you clearly had the second row seat moved forward. So it's pointless to show that the 3rd row has lots of leg room, if the 2nd row has none.

Interior does look great but at 130K base price just wandered how much the top of the range would cost, great range for a big vehicle.
EQS 580+ 4matic SUV, fully equiped with the most expensive option I could chose would in Sweden set you back roughly £169k (2.12m SEK) :)

Love all the new EV’s coming to market finally. The EQS is okay. I’ve been in the sedan and I was not a fan. The SUV is better looking and a more useful package. Though most of the luxury features are conventional gimmicks necessary to dazzle buyers and distract them, and aren’t substantial innovations. The interior looks like a cross between a karaoke machine and a nail salon… but at least they don’t make the air vents such a prominent design feature like MB does on most of their other vehicles. I would still go for the Model X Long Range. It is still the benchmark for large SUV/crossovers.

Unfortunately, bulky crossovers and SUVs are what customers globally demand.
This is not a review it's a paid promotion. The third row seats look like they'd be big enough for a child but not an adult the fact that it has door closing assist when Tesla already has door closing and you can't mention that.

It's a nice car but still not sold with fully electric cars. A car like this would be great for long journeys but the range wouldn't compare to combustion engines. Charging still takes a lot longer than refuelling too.
I'm still not sold on the Hyper Screen. The BMW iX M60 would be a better buy for the money.

Tesla is great. But for a family suv, comfort, build quality and range come first. This exceeds the tesla in all aspects
The camera's movements is noticeably not smooth. This has been an ongoing issue with AutoTrader's videos, though it wasn't some years back.

This is less of an egg than the Sedan. Looks good
If I consider the cost and the size of the car you would expect to use it as a cross continental cruiser (and so to replace the airplane), but then the typical range of the electric cars it will make this car pointless.If we reach 700 km of range (at highway speed of course) the car could make sense, otherwise building 100kw batteries just to go and show off on the nearest shopping center doesn’t help the Planet.

This looks so much better than the model "egg". I do feel however that all the gimmickry like power everything and the exterior light show and illumination are mostly unnecessary. That fluid fill on the front fender is also a paint nightmare waiting to happen. It would be interesting to see how many batteries this thing contains, and for that matter how much this behemoth weighs.

You cant even tell what model it is when it drives by anymore. Same with sedan design, eqe and eqs literally the same car from the outside but one costs x2 times more.
They are doing basically the same thing BMW did/still do with interior. All the bmws interior look exactly the same.
Now Mercedes look the same from the inside and the outside as well...
