    First of all: Well and professionally made in general, but what I was really missing is kind of a more objective review. This review is like watching somebody directly out of the marketing department of MB talking about their car. Just a high praise of every aspect of the car without any critical point. This is for sure not very plausible, especially since with the previous one, there was quite a lot to complain about. Considering that the current MB interiors in general really look nice, but feel rather cheap from a haptical point of few… and so on… this video simply looks like sponsored by MB.
    Critical comments and points should also be part of a good car review in my opinion.

    Its like watching another channel, the voice is soothing almost like listening to the mermaid Rory was catching. People that say they want him back should decide if they want growth and more content where creators get time to fly and review different things and events or they want Rory to do everything with limited content while other channels like SuperCarBlondie are growing and delegating content. This video is quality even without Rorisang, because it already has his essence. He wouldn't bring someone who don't know what they're talking about.

    And while I’m at it, I drove the 220d version last February. It was comfortable and well appointed, but god was it a sluggard. Most annoyingly it had those pointless side steps fitted and all they did was get my trousers covered in road muck every time I went to exit it.

    • @fintan.
      @fintan. 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My question as well, they usually bullshit these mpg numbers because the test is only like 20 miles and this has an ev mode so they’ll use that for 90% of the test to artificially pull it up, I think it really averages 60mpg in it’s hybrid mode

  • @enriquesinghjr

      comparing apples to apples (eg. GLC 300 vs X3 i30) X3 is a bit more expensive. Also, the BMW needs a lot of extras while the GLC usually have 3 packages.

    I've owned 3 Mercedes vehicles for about 4 years now... And I can tell you this:
    Their interior build quality is just polished cheap, scratchy material that's always rattling and squeaky with tons of plastic. I just don't get it. I feel like I was tricked into buying all 2 cars and 1 SUV.
    Merc has an excellent marketing team and strategy, but I think their cars are grossly overrated and backed up with a lot of hype.

    The Model Y is currently the best selling premium SUV in Europe?! It's not even close to being that in its home market! This proves one thing very clearly for me. Charging infrastructure is everything for an EV to be successful. This also means that the rest of the world is simply not ready for EVs. So expect far less global interest for your EV TH-cam reviews.

    • @AutoTraderTV
      @AutoTraderTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you might be wrong. Looks as if the Lexus RX (which is in a larger category) sold 26000 units in Q2 2022. Model Y sold 53000 units. Also, Teslas has more Supercharger locations in the US than anywhere else in the world. 1600+ in America and 842 in Europe.

    • @dash-ryan
      @dash-ryan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AutoTraderTV I stand corrected. This is surprising because I hardly see any here in the Canadian Prairie provinces, which is my point. You guys in the UK are densely populated, and have a great EV charging network. However in less densely populated areas or poorer counties, EVs are not practical enough for EV reviews to be of any value. Broad statements around the impending future being EV dominated sound way too optimistic to me given where I live and sound more like a reflection of your local circumstances than relevant for everyone in the world.

    I got to test it yesterday. Nice looking from car, seems big enough from the outside, like proper family SUV.... yep a family of minions maybe. I'm 189cm tall and when sat in driver's seat my eyes are at the level of the top of windscreen. I looks at the dashboard like it's on my knees. Door arms inside are made of the horrible cheap, hard plastic and the seat adjusting buttons have no feedback anymore. They feel like they fell off and glued back with a superglue. Beautiful steering wheel ruined by the side buttons which are not real button but some sort of slide over plastic surface. Very disappointed because it looked so promising.

    Good review, but Benz isn't the best, neither is the GLC, at least not their interiors. They do indeed look special and cool, but since Benz started sourcing hard plastics inside, the interiors creak and vibrate--excepting the S-Class, of course. I'm not sure what' going on, but what looks like a super-upscale interior makes quality noises--especially the console and center stack.

      @@Hadronyx1 I guess it depends on the model. MyX3M Comp's interior is a work of art, but our regular X3's interior is just good, not excellent. Then our X2's interior is just ok.
      It's always the same thing with BMW: You get what you pay for: A $90k X3 gets an insane interior. A $50K car gets you an ok interior. That said, even an $85K X7 has an amazing.
      I guess maybe it's more about the chassis age. I mean, look at the new iX3. It's basically a mini iX. but it's brand new. Teh X3 is on its way out.
      Now that Rolls is consulting more and more on BMW interiors, I think with every new chassis, we will see better and better interiors from BMW, particularly because companies like Mazda are now cloning the 3-Series interior and putting it in all their models (2023 CX-50).
      Another brand interior oddity or surprise shocker is that our new Grand Cherokee has switches that look directly from BMWs button supplier.
      Ironically, a $90K Benz 300 gets an interior that wows in pictures, but basically sux when you cross your first gutter.

      @@mspeed2441 I’ve owned both BMWs and Mercs. I’ll be honest, interior wise I’ve always found Mercedes’ interior superior. In terms of quality, I’ve had problems with the interior leather of my BMW, maybe I just got unlucky idk. Also BMW has always leaned towards a more sportier interior, not that I don’t mind that. Just comes down to personal preference I reckon :)
