Thanks for the clear and concise video. This helped me find the cracked porcelain on my #4 spark plug. Plugs were installed by the dealership at 99K miles (about 1500 miles ago) so I'd assumed it had to be a coil.
Glad you found the problem. Very easy to Crack the plugs on install if you're not careful. Plug could have also been damaged in shipping if it was tossed around. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@shanersmechaniclife3164 I sent a picture of the cracked plug to the dealership. They said it was likely cracked prior to installation and they just didn’t catch it. They’re going to give me a free oil change for my trouble.
@@shanersmechaniclife3164 all but one top cap on the passenger camshaft blew apart and rollers went flying...haven't looked at the pistons yet but I'm ordering a used motor...
changed plugs and coils 3 months ago, yesterday 8000 kms later engine light came off flashing engine started shattering very bad, stoped checked the code P0302 cylinder misfire or may be fuel injector ? lots of problems with ecoboost.
I’m having the same issue but it didn’t start to happen till right after I filled up my tank could water in the gasoline still give the same misfire readings I have a lot of smoke and strong gasoline smell coming out the muffler
Help needed… I had a P0305 almost a yr ago. Replaced all plugs and cylinder 5 coil. Same problem has come back. Replaced all plug and cylinder 5 coil again. Still have the issue. It’s a 2019 Ford F-150 2.7 Ecoboost with no other issues. Any ideas would be great.
I have 2006 Honda Accord v6 and I got the code po305 and white smoke comes from exhaust I only changed coil number one because it was defected, what do you think my problem might be?
What if neither one of those things is the problem? I have a 2013 EcoBoost. I am constantly getting misfires on Cylinder 3 & 4. I have changed the plugs, replaced the Coil Packs and even swapped out the Coil Packs with other cylinders. the Misfires don't move. Do you or anyone know what my next step should be? I am wondering if the wiring harness that plugs in to those 2 coils is bad. Thanks for the help.
Might not be ignition related. Could be injector or carbon build up on valves. Is there any evidence of rodents? They love to chew wiring. Let me know what you find.
I had a bad pigtail... or more specifically..a broken connector that wouldn't allow the plug to snap on to the coil. When I am in there looking for other things, and unknowingly push the plug all the way back on- suddenly it ran great..then soon it would wiggle loose.
Could be any number of things. Compression? Fuel injector? Wiring issues. Hope you find the issue and it's a cheap fix. Keep me posted with what the problem ends up being. Thanks for watching
Have you cleaned your throttle body? I have seen those cause rough running as you pull up to a stoplight. Keep me posted on what you find. Thanks for watching.
I have a 2018 3.5 ecoboost and have had misfires on one side P0304, P0305, P0306. Shaking like crazy, no power, smoke and water out the tail pipe, limp mode. Replaced the plugs with oem and moved the coil packs, worked then broke down next day, bought a new coil pack, worked then broke down, took it to a mechanic who replaced all the plugs and three coil packs, broke down again, took it to ford, the said it was cam phasers and it destroyed my catalytic converters, replaced those for 5700$, drove for 70 miles, broke down again, they drove it and said nothing was wrong so I got it back and broke down again. They took it back and now they’re telling me “they found the issue” and it’s fuel injectors and it’s gonna be 1850$ for those. I’m at a loss for what the hell is actually broken. 2 and half months and still don’t have a truck. Someone on earth please help!
Thats rough man. Sounds like it could've been the injector from the beginning. I know the phasers are a bad problem on these trucks, but unless you heard an very loud ticking before hand, i doubt the phasers were the culprit for the initial problems.
Thanks buddy nice and simple explanation without all the blabbing like a lot of other videos

That's the cleanest used Eco I've ever seen! 😅 👍

@Sonic-mu7rj Did you ever fix your truck? Having same issue with cylinder 4 already did changed spark plug and coil same code on and off

Did u get it fixed was it the injectors?

Next Trash the engine cover. It's just generates heat under the hood
Good point. That and rodents love living under them.
