Getting rid of the orange peel makes a huge difference. He should have used a darker color paint and done a larger section on the hood where the light can show the difference in the reflection.
I didn't see any different. The spot you said the tape was. Had the shop light shining on it. So all I seen was the shop light and everything look the same. When you first stop buffering. It looked like you made it look dull. compared to the rest of the panel
what is it that you think cutting & buffing does?? there’s clearly orange peel on the left, and none on the right. there’s many ways to skin this cat & get better or worse results, but the goal is to flatten out the uneven surface (orange peel). the more microscopically flatter it is, the more mirrory it gets
@@jameswalker5143 I didn't say there wasn't a difference before and after the wet sand, cut, buff. All I said was they used poor lighting choice. That used with this specific blue made as well as the light placed directly behind the camera makes it very difficult to see the spot that he focused on. I know the routine when it comes to buffing scratches out of my own vehicles. They all usually get a clay bar and buff every summer. So it's not like I know what they're talking about. Just pointing out their poor lighting choice.
ahhh call me crazy but i dont see it.. my monitor is working just fine. I have to agree with Marak "watch your vid before posting" !

The one on the right is crystal clear and nice, the one on the left has like a desert dune thing going on. If it's not your monitor it's your eyes, no biggie but there's a big difference.
He did a bad job showing the difference, but if you know what you're looking for you can see it. On the before side there is still some orange peel, the buffed side doesn't have any orange peel.
Orange peel is meant to be there on a base coat clear coat system that is it’s sun protection because it is such bad quality paint, And why does he talk funny.
The light is there specifically to show the difference. The left edge of the light reflection is the wavy part and the right edge of the light reflection is the buffed out part.
I saw the difference right away, tf are you talking about, you can clearly see the orange peel on the left side and the new smooth out right side. Do what the guy above me said.
how nice to see a how to video in under 23 mins
Excellent video, brief, to the point and no unnecessary yapping. Thanks
Great video. To everyone who doesn't see the difference, look at the edges of the highlight at 2:44...it's quite obvious.
Thanks for the heads up cause I didn't see it and I was fixing to call b.s. on the clown

every how to should follow this guy! most just babble. Well done!
Dude fast and to the point awesome video brother
Of course youre not gonna remove the 1500 grit with that polisher and foam pad that 1500 is very agressive
Simple and to the point, thank you

Well, hopefully you aren't a body guy, if you can't see the difference in orange peel and none
What about buffing plastic bumpers? I just repainted mine and I got a bunch of dirt in the clear
Great video, I have some primer overspray on the clearcoat, is the process is the process the same , Thanks
That's good skills bro!
Can u buff by hand
Great video. Orange peel should be against the law. Nothing like your girl being able to use your hood for a makeup mirror!
2:35 can see what guy a little close to the crease
Hi..will i be able to colour sand my single stage 2k paint job..remove all orange peel and then clear coat it?
is cutting compound the same as rubbing compound?
They’re similar, cutting compound is more aggressive tho
Super brother your presentations..Congratulations to you
Where can i find that water spayer?
You can use a spray bottle.
Homedepot
I didn't see a difference. That light from the background didn't help at all.
You can't really tell much in pictures or videos. Its hard to see clear coat issues even in person but definitely necessary

Good stuff 100%
How do you know if you buff through the clear coat?
When you start seeing color on your paper. You’re fuk ed!
didnt look any different to me with the camera angle
Thanks man i needed to see that
How long should I wait after spraying clear? Thanks.
Most people/products will say the clear needs to cure for a minimum of 24 hours.
@@MAWA-Vik19 Thanks.
@@JohnDisque You're welcome. To be honest, I'd really give it a few days if it were me.
Depending on temperature and humidity it's safer to wait 48 hours.
the longer the better if you have time, but it say at least 2-3 days
I didn’t see a difference I think this is more about how to do it then to actually show how it looks after sanding and polishing
Thanks bub
Would you recommend 1k or 2k clearcoat for a plastic bumper?
2k
1k unless it's a nice car

I actually don't mind the wavy look... I sort of like it for some reason.
Looked the same to me 🤷🏻♂️

Wtf……
terrible comparison image... that light is... right in it. to bad. rest of the video was good.

Ok great, I didn’t see one shred of difference not even your tape line. Maybe watch your videos first before posting
Typical wanker video I couldn’t see it either bad camera angle and I wanna smash this guy for wasting my time
A lot less wave / Orange peel on buffed area. Very nice finish
@@cancan8467 Look at the differences in the left and right edges of the reflection of the light. Left is wavy, right is smoother.
