@@darrianbenjamin7292 100% agree. I get tired of reading comments about they should of used this brand of amp. Or that brand of speaker. Not everyone has a sky's the limit budget. They just want some better than factory sound in their daily driver. Hell most of my gear, is stuff I've collected over the years. Some really good upper end stuff. Some middle of the road stuff. All that matters is that I'm happy with it. Lorenzo did a great install with his customers budget in mind. I'm pretty sure the customer will be happy when he hears it.
I have to say I am impressed with your attention to details from the use of nut certs in the plastic panel to counter sinking the mounting holds for a flush fit and laying out the wiring in a very clean organized way. From one professional to another. I would be proud to have you in my shop. Top notch.
And those of us who watch these for guidance cuz we can't afford to pay someone else and do these things for the first time on a gravel driveway with no garage, no nice table saws, routers, etc...in July...in Florida...nevermind, we're just crazy...

Also good learning experience as I troubleshoot and fix things like for instance the Kicker KEY2004 I installed behind the dash didn't have enough slack on the harness so it was pulling the speaker wire pins back in the harness connected to the amp and losing signal. I got a length of speedwire and added 10 inches and soldered it all together with shrink tube...no issues since. Plus I soundproofed all 4 doors and wow those kicker KSS 6.5 components really shine now. Can't wait to add the HS10 😁
I loved doing installs like this as a hobby in my own cars, in the cars of my friends and for some of my relatives. The passion started in high school and continued on well past post-graduate educational training. I’m well into my 40’s now with my own children and hope to teach them things like this. As you can very well see, doing something like this takes patience and planning and foresight. Of course you can just plug everything in then just let the components float around in your trunk & under your seats, but part of my own satisfaction was routing the wires, cutting them to the exact lengths needed, crimping or soldering the cable ends on then securing & protecting the ends with shrink wrap. Man, as many have already stated, this is a very clean install and watching your painstaking attention to detail was more than satisfying. It was downright therapeutic! Keep up your awesome “functional artwork”. Regardless of how old or beaten-up any car may be, it can always benefit from an upgraded audio system. Thank you so much for your video(s)!
i too like this but i move stuff around a lot so i tend to have extra wire as to move things without disconnecting i just added connector to my wires that should make things easier
I am like you in my 40's and I started in high school i have 2 kids 22 and 16. I did not realize kids were still in too putting systems in cars till i saw my son watching a youtube video when he was about 14. I asked him you like that he said "i cant wait till I get my car and put a system in it. So I gave him my old car and we started working on a system in his when he 15. On his 16 bday took him to get his DL and let him drive on to school. I will always remember him pulling out the driveway that day and turning up the music headed to school.
If you need this to hook up your system you should not be doing it at all. I feel like you need at friend or something to help you because there is a lot more to it then whats going on here and certain things do t need to be done unless you have an amplified system in your stock vehicle
Great install. I see a lot of ppl are salty about the gear that was put in but regardless all equipment deserved a quality install. This is surely a huge improvement than before in everyway.
@@Az56818 I hear you but I think people expect amps to do their rated power. Blaupunkt is almost as bad as BOSS in that area. I don't think anyone should hand over their money to a company who lies and counts on the consumer being uniformed. I'm sure they used CCA wire too. I feel like CCA wire is dishonest. I think most people who have CCA wire in there car just aren't educated about the subject.
@@Titans2138 CCA wire isn't bad depending on your application. If your wire can handle the amperage you are sending to it then it's not a big deal. If you are trying ti maximize your peer based in the gauge wite you are using then OFC is your best bet. But I think CCA is something like 70-80% efficieny of OFC. So if you have oversized 1/0 CCA for a monoblock 4 gaguge input amp and you have calculated your required amps you will be fine.

I have that 4-channel amp and had some issues with it going into protect mode, but I was also running it bridged. Regardless, I mounted an 80mm pc fan w/ relay inside the chassis, and it hasn't gone into protect mode ever since.
Man that's really super nice I'm restoring my 1985 gmc sierra classic C1500 suburban. And I'm wanting a neat clean install like this. Where can that abs board be purchased at and how thick is it I'm putting some sound deadening padding. With the foil on it my question will the foil affect the performance. Of the system when I run the RCA cables underneath the carpet. On top of the sound deadening padding with the foil?
i really enjoy this, and i myself does it but my problem is i have to order almost everything now i know you probably order as well but the smallest of thing you can run to the hardware store not me that easy. Small island boy and we are limited to good stuff .Love your installs

Hi Lorenzo great To watch. Very Clean and tidy. Have question. Not Started yet but got most of what I need. X-type jag screen head unit. Very Silly Question. 4 speaker's to head unit (8) cut connect wires to Amp. Other 8 to RGB converter from head unit. If I still wanted to use head unit as normal can you get a 3 way splitter to cross wires back to Standard. I know you're thinking why would you do that. I want to be able to use both. Only using the Amp as & when. But also using Car Standard too. I think I've worked it out. I wondered if they was a unit that can do this? I found a 4 way shut off. Yes means clicking 4 switches to turn them off. But not Cross over on to Standard or back to Amp. Also adding a on/off to Remote wire. This would shut Amp off but be nothing sound wise. The unit with 4 on/off on it looks pretty easy to modify to 3 way to cross over. Is they a unit Out there without getting messy. Hopefully you understand. I'm no Expert but can do most things. Hope you can help. 👍
how can amp burn without burning battery line fuse (60amp) and amp fuses (30amps x 2 fuses). i thought fuses would burn before the amp does! but my amp burnt :(, isit because my fuses have higher amps than the amplifier can handle
You only need RCAs connected if you have a after market radio and you want to control it from there other then that your already pulling signal from the speed wire connecting to the front
Quick question. Let's say I already have my two amps wired to the main battery thru a Distribution block. If I add a second battery could I just run that battery to the main battery. Will it still supply extra power and work correctly.

I have a stock head unit with a loc with 2 rca output which is tapped into the factory speaker wire harness behind the stock unit. The rca's from the loc go to my 2channel amp in the trunk.. Now!! To install a 4channel into this setup. Can I just use my 2channel amp that has rca outputs using 2male to 4 male to the 4channel amp? Then unplug all 4 door speaker wires that come from factory harness and run new wire from the 4channel amp to the door speakers?

Quick question old mercedes got two agm batteries stock one bigger one and one small aux one i am gping to run 3 amps totaling 1400rms is that enough or what should i do should i add another bat. Cant afford high output alternator. Its not dimming or giving me problems at all with two amps 1000rms so another 400 rms think i be okay?
I can't believe you went through all that trouble to make a good looking out back and then screw the speakers in with drywall screws. Just wondering why y'all did not use wood inserts with machine screws for the woofers

His install is better but not up to what im usto doing ..Someone brought me those Rca's or that wire to use ...I would have to get them to go get some better stuff ,,No freaking way I would use those crap amps .I guess im just usto a whole other level

I know they have much more funds then were seeing here but if your gonna redo a crap install at least use good stuff .The stuff being used here is things you would find in a cheap install kit man .yea I do the speed typing method. Those amps in like the 80' 90' s were pretty good but now there just terrible quality

You are better off running larger gauge wire than a cap.

Yes, they were daisy chained from the aftermarket headunit.

His install is better but not up to what im usto doing ..Someone brought me those Rca's or that wire to use ...I would have to get them to go get some better stuff ,,No freaking way I would use those crap amps .I guess im just usto a whole other level
@Hello There I install for nashville music executives, and country music artists. I know they have much more funds then were seeing here but if your gonna redo a crap install at least use good stuff .The stuff being used here is things you would find in a cheap install kit man .yea I do the speed typing method. Those amps in like the 80' 90' s were pretty good but now there just terrible quality
@russlora the wires ain't that bad bro those amps on the other hand trash truck never say what the true rms is. For what he had perfect install I am sure he could have used mdf or fiberglass and made plexi windows ne9n and all but fast clean install
