    Honestly, this is the most detailed review about its sound signature I've seen. Having the product in hand wasn't necessary.

    Hi Steph, great review as always. Which one would you ultimately recommend between these and the Beyerdynamic Lagoon, that you've also recently reviewed (assuming you rank these two as the top noise canceling cans in the market at the moment)? I'm interested in sound quality above all (not as much in noise cancelling performance). Thanks and keep up the great work 💪🏻

    Nice review Steph! In terms of sound quality, would you recommend the upgrade from senns 2.0 wireless or go with the ath-sr30 or ath-sr50bt?

    Very informative and detailed with the sound according to the songs you listened. I am looking for a closed back headphone for the office mostly to use it with cable to benefit from ifi nano. Would you recommend the MOMENTUM 2.0 or ATH-MSR7B price is similar in Norway. Regards

    Amazing review as always ma man! How would you compare these with the Amiron Wireless in terms of Spaciousness, Bass and Midrange. Are these coming close in any of those aspects? Still thinking about the Amiron but would love something more compact that you actually can travel with. Cheers and keep the great work coming!!

    Do you measure the headphones or do you guess the measurement? You often say that it sounds like 60 Hz, 5K, and so on.

    • @MajorHiFi
      @MajorHiFi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do not measure (measurement gear is supppppper expensive)! So I do so by ear, and am able to because of super strict and extended ear training. So that's why I say "sounds like" because that's how it sounds to my ears, but don't want to claim that my interpretation is the actual measurement. The majority of feedback I get is that it agrees with others' interpretations of the sound as well.

    • @lextr3110
      @lextr3110 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MajorHiFi measurements tools are cheap.. you only need good soundcard and measument mic with known curve.. you can use free REW software to measure..
      or better look at the minidsp headphone measurement head..
      you should measure FR,CSD, 2rd,3rd, 5th distortion, imd distortion, channel matching and square wav transient 30hz,60hz, 300hz
      make sure you dont have any crosstalk in your dac and amp. so fully dual mono

    Well articulated young technology reviewer here. Beautiful, stylish, durable, high quality design with high quality speakers. The problems are noise cancelling and Bluetooth wireless. Noise canceling adds distortion and all bluetooth wireless is lossy compression.

    I’m surprised no aptx hd or LDAC now that every modern android smartphone supports these.

    • @phil5743
      @phil5743 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know but they are inferior codecs to aptx HD and LDAC

    • @danwooson
      @danwooson 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@phil5743 AptX HD is being superseded soon. Most of these cans can't even deal with the LDAC or HD freq range. If you want HD sound, look at MSR7B instead and use a cable. So basically you won't be able to tell the difference using headphones like these.

    • @phil5743
      @phil5743 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If aptx hd is being superceeded then how come including an even older codec, aptx. It may be an opinion that no differences can be heard, but fact is LDAC and aptx Hd are the current standards.

    • @funb0b
      @funb0b 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've done back to back testing on all of the codac's bar adaptive, there is no appreciable difference in audio fidelity, in fact I would defy anyone to be able to define one from another in a blind test. The source made more difference l.E. local flac files or Tidal master. More importantly the dac, amplifier stage, driver quality is infinitely more important. IMHO.
      BTW. I tried these, PX7, Sony W3/W4 and Bose, out of these I now own the M3's, PX7 where fine, just uninspiring. The Bose and Sony were just a ghastly mess. But as always, you pays your money and takes your choice.

    Please stop with the frickin bullshitm i dont want to know about the buttons, just talk about what it actually does , its for music so discuss the sound ! And does using the equalizer puts the headphone back to the lowest codec like the XM3s ?

    • @MajorHiFi
      @MajorHiFi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      dang! So harsh! lol! That's aight... passion for audio! I can respect that. That said, please fast forward to 5:15 for the sound portion of the review. I go into pretty good detail with examples from particular (edited) songs. Also, you can see the long form written review for more details. To be honest, I'm not sure if using the EQ puts it back to lowest codecs-- can't find any info for it online. But I def wanna hear from any of ya'll in the comments if you know or can point us in the right direction to figure it out.

    • @MajorHiFi
      @MajorHiFi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @B Henson Heya! Respect your thoughts and opinions, although hope you're making that opinion yourself rather than based on random talk online. That said, I personally have a specific reviewing philosophy that I think is worth noting. If a product is objectively not good, I don't review it. When addressing sound, I describe what's going on without judgement (or at least try to as much as any living, breathing human can-- and actually receive a lot of feedback from folks how it agrees with their ears and they way they hear too). The reason for this is that my opinion on a sound signature doesn't matter so much actually. Since different folks like different sound signatures, I try to let folks know what a given product is good for. Otherwise, it would be like if i didn't like pizza, walking into a pizza shop to do a review. Doesn't really help folks who like pizza make a decision of whether or not to go there, ya know? Anywho, if you have a differing opinion than i do on a product, i def want to hear it! It's not just helpful for me, but it is helpful for the whole community! So feel free to leave your thoughts about the headphones or dac or amp or whatever so others can understand your experience.
