- We all know how stressful exam time can be. When we let our stress levels get too intense for long periods of time, it can have negative effects on our physical and mental well-being. But stress itself isn't all bad. If we understand the science of what's happening in our bodies when we feel stressed, we can learn to keep those feelings balanced and make them work for us. So how do we do that? Watch this video for scientific tips on how to tame your stress and let it do its job - preparing you for the challenge ahead!

What I’m scared of the most is not studying effectively, that everything I prepare for my exam won’t be of help, so I’ve been procrastinating despite gathering the material i will study and made a schedule. It’s killing me everyday now and I have less than two months left before the exam. I’m not enjoying my time procrastinating either I just wait for the day to end to escape in my dreams, it’s not my first rodeo but I never found out a way to deal with fear
That is what I am doing now I have to take these quizzes and exams in this accounting course… I had some very personal issues that spiral me into a depression. I am dealing with a doctor and therapist. My instructor has been very helpful and giving me more time, but I keep putting off the exam and test at the end of the chapters and it is, causing my stress to spiral😢
It’s really a vicious cycle, I suffer from anxiety disorder and I just feel so hopeless sometimes because even once I’m done with exams I get anxious about the next ones, then I’ll feel the same doing job interviews, then once I get a job..etc so I stopped telling myself I’ll be fine once I’m done with academic pressure, instead we should focus on treating the root cause which isn’t simple at all, hang in there better times will come ❤️
I feel the same way, this year has been horrible academically while my close friends found it easy, I can't truly explain it but I have this negative comparison mindset where I've gotten so used to being wrong compared to my friends, that I doubt my answers, even if they are right. It's gotten so bad this Exam season that I've begun a chant to shut up the comparison voice in my head it involves cussing my friend, I know that's wrong but if I don't shut that voice up I'll never answer any questions. I don't have any Mental Health disorders but I do have a great case of the blues, as though I've put so much effort into things compared to other years, I'm seeing worse results.
PS: sorry for wasting your time reading my lame excuse of a reply, if you have the time to read a stranger's comment, you definitely have the time to try a breathing exercise or two, it's been real God bless you, beautiful random stranger.

It's literally me these days(actually always lol)... My boards will Start on February... And my pre-board started from today...tomorrow i have a exam of language and grammar... I'm procrastinating.. I'm having anxiety attacks...i can't even focus on a Single word...It's like i'm even forgetting all the things i have learned before..i'm srsly going crazy...idk what shitt i will write tomorrow...

Night before the exam and I’m feeling overwhelmingly stressed and nervous, praying to God helps me be more confident at the time of taking the test.

@@Mina_c I did actually but I got very sick with the flu afterwards because my immune system went down for the stress I felt and my defenses weren’t able to contain the virus and that’s why got sick but I’m getting better now 👍🏼stress is not good for the immune system

I actually have more fear that i wont be able to sleep for exam than actual stress about the exam. For all my exams since childhood, ive slept for 1-2 hrs due to severe anxiety, ive done well. Dont worry. Have to stay calm in the exam centre, that's the key

@@dr.s1281 I suggest on the day of exam, you can revise till last minute if you are that type of person or dont read anything, whatever fits. But regarding the anxiety what worked for me is lofi music without lyrics, or any music which is slow and puts you in a peaceful mood. You should be peaceful on the day of exam and instead of any compelling thoughts, you can actually sing songs in your mind, this has helped many people with the anxiety. Some of my exam scopes are utterly insane . Talking about 9 chapters each 50+ slides . Sometimes it’s really inconvenient that we are given such loads . Stress and anxiety is not avoidable in exams , it’s all hard work and practice that brings you ease . Pray before you write, believe in yourself and go show that paper who really runs the show .
something they didn't mention but i recommend is if you can then try doing past papers months before with a clock in the room. it's the best method of preparation and if something goes wrong then don't worry, there's always next time

Listen to a walkthrough about the topics you've studied and do a few practice questions the night or two nights before. Trust me, it gives you a whole confidence boost after realising how much you've learnt
9 days before the start of my exams, I locked myself for the the past two months, I don't remember the last time I got outside, I it's okay until now, the anxiety is slowly killing me, literally.
I can only study for like 4 hours and then I get tension headache, no matter what I do it won't go away and when I try to force myself to study it only get worse, I can only pray that what I've accomplished for the past two months won't be a waste.
Try to go out for à walk , or you can try to study in your balacony at the early morning and when the sunshine disturb u go inside

I am fucking tired!! Exhausted I am. Why I am like this? Every hard work is seems to like went in vain . Once I used to be a topper now I am a medium student and it’s the worst feeling ever. Today was my math exm. After getting the question paper , my hands were shaking, I did the same math yesterday and it came today in the exm. Yet I was so nervous that I can’t remember the steps. Now I don’t have any confidence. There is no one to support!!! I don’t know what to do. I couldn’t solve the mcq on time. Now I have feeling depressed I even cried a lot. Still tears are flowing ya. Please god help me

I don’t know why I am being like this , I used to be a disciplined one before completing my tasks on time but now I can’t even study a single thing , I thought of studying 3 hours regularly after school but I procrastinated the entire time reading nothing and now I have my boards within two months , here I am crippling with anxiety and stress that I can’t even do anything 😢

I did terribly in a test recently. I was so stressed I couldn't think clearly and didn't finish in time. Just now I reworked the paper, and I managed to work it out in 3/4 of the time given without any major difficulties. Hopefully this video helps with that
I am from Srilanka and I have badly practiced to compare my marks with my friends. Even if I have lower marks I think that I am weak and I lose my internet towards that subject.

I have 12 days before taking the driving test exam, and I'm stressed, lazy, cannot find a way to study, can't study without music even know music distracts me and yet motivates me, and I have stopped playing games for 2 weeks now still doesn't help.

I am currently training to join the police force. But the anxiety of the exam made me fail my blood pressure test every time. It can reach as high as 170! While my blood pressure is somewhere between 110-125 most of the time. 🙃

Still remember the conference on pressure & performance leading the best, worst & average case scenarios. Too less or too much with both have a negative impact which remains universally true for anything ! From anxiety to stress, too less, you'd rather be a couch potato & missout the deadlines , exams & regret late, too much pressure, you aren't about to turn into a diamond 😅 if no one told you so ! People get a kick from pressure, stress & anxiety until it's healthy and don't lead to self harm ! It's also true for smoking drinking, drug abuse & alcohol. Too much will destroy you! completely sober is'nt everyone's cup of tea & who are you kidding, everyone deserves a little fun in life !
Also true for work & life management & achieving the perfect balance increasing productivity, efficiency boosting creativity & innovation !
Too much art could cause burnouts, too much dancing makes your body stiff & tou loose the fun element ! It's universally true for most, exceptions remain who can handle it well or get a kick from it. I count myself out of those exceptions ! 😅
