Whenever we have summative tests at school teachers usually give it at the start of the lesson. Im in 7th grade and have been following this chanell for a while now. I used to feel school is very hard but with the tips gohar has given it made it way easy. Thanks gohar.
For me, in Grade 10, not in the us, btw I feel so demotivated, I feel like school has no real purpose, and it doesn't seem fun as it used to boring teachers sometimes.
1) forget about number of hours. because you can't base your efficiency of studying based on no. of hrs alone (ex - for the same 5 hrs, you can either revise notes and highlight imp point OR do active recall, try to explain the concept to yourself and find out your weak points, and then improving those weak points accordingly) 2) read backwards ( summary/highlights - skim all topic headings - read first paragraphs of each topic and skim through rest of the tiopic content - (optional) read everything in detail 3)batching tasks (basically, writing requires a certain type of thinking, reading requires another type of thinking and so on). so batch the similar types of tasks into groups so that number of transitions will be less. in each batch start from the easiest and move on to the harder ones to enter into flow state of sorts. 4)give yourself constraints (Parkinson law - work expands so as to fill the time give for its completion - more time => less effort and less time => more effort) how to efficiently set time constraints? - take a task - ask yourself how much time would it approximately take - reduce that time by 10-20% and set that as your timer to complete the task 5) use ai to your advantage (dont copy obv) (grammarly pro) 6)sunk cost fallacy - just cuz you have invested a lot of resources (time, money etc) on a particular item/task doesn't mean you shouldn't;t drop it even though dropping it clearly is the wiser choice. for example in an exam you are stuck in a particular qs then just move on, complete other questions and then come back to the ones you were previously stuck on. down let your ego in the way. 7) do mindless work (fixed tasks) first. there are 2 types :- fixed = mindless work, revising notes, doing simple homework which dont require much brainstorming etc. and variable tasks = creative thinking tasks like essays, grp project ideas and brain storming related stuff. do fixed tasks first as they will take a fixed time and in the rest of the time you should fit in your variable tasks. reason - if you do variable task first, by Parkinson law, variable takes will occupy whole time cuz they compound up. (and yes Gohar it does make a lot of sense! please keep creating more productivity hacks!) 8) tag your notes. (attend all lectures for this one it will end up being useful). - will be very useful when revising. generally lecturers mention which topics are really important, and sometimes there will be certain concepts which you have never heard of before/find hard to understand. mark them.
How to cope up with stress of time management, like its that fear of not being able to complete a test at a particual given time yet in the test you can complete it and could have improved your answer to get better grades. And also how do you deal with blank mind. Like your friend just quiz you 10 min before the exam and you know everything but seeing the same question in the test or exam makes you forget everything for some reason.
most likely the reason would be stress, and being worry makes you forget things, so if that happens again take deep breaths and remind yourself that you know the answer and you can remember it!
I am studying High School Class 11. I really wanna finish of 11th syllabus by this Christmas and be confident with it so that I could focus more on my 12th syllabus which will start from JAN 2025. I have full 11th + 12th syllabus for an exam in 2026 and I hope these methods will work on me properly as I have wasted most of my time till now and I have got 1 week of vacation holidays to cover 3/4 the of the portions.
You don't know how much this actually helped me change the perspective in assignments and studying as a whole (I was pretty much losing hope for my own self) I can barely understand my Calc 1 professor, but when I found your video, it was pretty much the solution on how I should study more efficiently before an exam. Praying I pass this first exam, because his accent was severely heavy and I had a hard time also reading his notes, so I pretty much have to teach myself the entirety of Calc 1. Thank you, Gohar :D
Hey Gohar, my school year is going pretty well! I've started in strong making sure I use your tips, and I can see some serious improvements. I really have to thank you for doing these video's because even if I were to pull it off, it'd be way harder for me to get these idea's to tag my notes, or to stop watching brain rot content, thanks to you, I have over all improved my life. Shh don’t listen to the first reply hopefully ur highschool years will be good and you will study efficiently and get better grades, remember just don’t give up
I think your tips will work. I used to have good grades during my middle school times and all I did was study the whole textbooks as the content was very less but since entering in high-school my grades have drastically dropped as I couldn't adapt to the new study styles and the contents in the textbooks were too much. After watching your video I am planning for a comeback using your tips. Thanks bro you earned a sub
My school year is so far good and a fun experience. I am a consistent top student with high scores and grades, especially in my fav. subject, science. Earlier we had an exam which I was pretty much very confident about since it was so easy. Unexpectedly I didn't even get a passing score, though the exam seemed pretty easy. My science teacher was shocked and called me to her office after class. I'm really disappointed, which leads me to all these kinda videos to motivate myself again. I've been a consistent with high honors since my freshman year every quarter, and I can say being a top achiever really isn't easy, huhu.
0:27 he says that he studies 4 times than student B, which is wrong. This is because student B studies 2hours while student A studies for 6hours. If you do the division the difference is 3 times. Bro legit having the coffee's side effect🤣
@tngirlchamp6073it’s not like it takes 3 hours to complete a basic math problem. Unless you are 2 months old, it shouldn’t take that long to solve a basic math problem. You don’t need to be free to solve something as simple as “2x3=6”
1. Forget the amount of hours you study for 2. Read the summary’s- of the chapter in your notes first and then look at everyone underlined the charts etc 3. Batching- do your tasks/homework the ones that are most alike such as math and science and essay for reading and language arts 4. Give yourself constraints- more time=less effort, less time=more effort, set a timer before doing it but before ask yourself How long will it take? Then reduce from %10-20 then set timer 5. Leverage AI- Use apps like grammarly to help you with your work 6. Don’t idle-If you have any very hard questions don’t stay on them and skip them for now so you can keep working then do them later 7. Do mindless work first-Fixed task are mindless work flashcards finding images variable tasks are more mental energy writing a essay or brain storming ideas 8. Tag your notes-Make sure to figure out which units your already comfortable with and spend less time spending time studying on those and spend more time on the harder ones if they if your teacher says something your not familiar with then put a star next to it Feel free to make any changes to this and put them in reply’s
This helped me a lot, I was in worried that I gonna fail exam, but after this video I felt motivated & did everything u said. Now I am not worried anymore.
(Don't worry about it this is for myself) -Forget the hours -Tackle weakness -Quiz -Pretend to teach Main: -Read backwards -Batching -Set timer (The lesser the better you study) -don't waste too much time on 1 problem (Leave your ego & move on) -
Not really man, if you have a good, consistent routine, you will be fine. Maybe once or twice a year you'll have bad sleep schedule, but otherwise you'll be fine.
If you’ve got a horrible sleep schedule you’ll get bad grades, which only makes you more behind creating the impression you have to study more and reduce your sleep even more. I’m taking the IB, believe me, there’s time to both sleep and study.
I'm 14 and realy followed allready these tips without even knowing what they are😅. What i'm trying to say here is that the tips Gohar is giving us are very good (even if they sound wierd the first time... ). Accualy, I use tag notes in tests: every thing that is hard, where I'm not sure about the answer I gave or if I don't have time to do them beacouse they are too time consuming are tagged by a little x to know to return to them when iI feel like I'm finished. Thank you!!!
I swear you are an absolute LIFE SAVER! I’m a grade 9 high school student and my year is going well but I always have trouble studying the correct way my math teacher basically gives out tests and quiz’s every week but I never get the best grades on them but when I came across this video it really helped me out in studying I went from getting a bunch of 60% on my test to getting 90 and above I swear you saved my math grade bro thank you!
These tips are absolute GAME CHANGERS! 🙌 Reading backwards, batching tasks, and using AI tools are pure genius! 💡 Set a time limit, stay focused, and watch your grades skyrocket 🚀 Thanks for dropping these amazing hacks! Let’s all study smart, not hard! 💪
My school year is ok. I just got a B+ so that was a bummer. Thanks so much for these tips! Can you please make a video about how to think about 1 topic at a time? I REALLY have trouble with that.
Thank you very much Brother. At the moment it won t help me very much but I love getting some Tips on how I can Improve somthing in my Life. Im a Fast Learner and I love Learning new Things and getting good at them
Hey! I'm a 10th grade student from Croatia and the school year's going pretty well. Everyone from elementary school used to ask me how I'm able to ace all exams just by studying for like 30-60 min's, while they study for 2+ hrs and can't get the results they want. I just wanted to say that your videos are awesome and inspiring. That's it from me, I hope everyone will have a good year! :)
Well explained. Thanks for bringing up the videos financial education is indeed required for more than 70% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject.
Usually, when I look at a problem, I know whether it's worth wasting my time, and everyone knows it too. It's whether you know not to attend that question in order to not regret it that's the question
Another tip I have is dog earring your notes. This way I can have easy access to difficult math/physics problems that I NEED to review before a test. It saves soo much time, compared to frantically speed reading your textbook and all your notes to find things that you actually need to review.
What is working very well for me is instead of writing summaries or flashcards, i do the following: 1. Go through the material/presentation/video and make questions from the important points 2. When done going through the material, answer the questions by writing 3. check yourself by looking for the answer in the material It DOES NOT matter how many mistakes you make as correcting makes you learn rocket fast. 4. Answer the questions you had wrong again and check until you have everything correct 5. next time studying for the subject, check yourself on your previously made questions and repeat the process for the new material
Hi Gohar, I'm a straight A middle school student. I know this is a weird video to ask this question on, but how do I start studying when I have never studied before. What tips do I use? Materials? How much time should I be spending on studying each day. I'd like to start learning how to study before I start high school. Also, I love your videos, and have actually started to implement some of the tips! Thank you so much.
I am from the UK and im in year 11 preparing to do my GCSE's next year. If you could do a video on how to avoid forgetting things during an exam it would be so helpful.
Thanks for that good valuable information it was very helpful, I’m trying to study and do my homework on time so i can get good grades, I pray God to help me pass all my classes 🙏

4)give yourself constraints (Parkinson law - work expands so as to fill the time give for its completion - more time => less effort and less time => more effort) how to efficiently set time constraints? - take a task - ask yourself how much time would it approximately take - reduce that time by 10-20% and set that as your timer to complete the task
5) use ai to your advantage (dont copy obv) (grammarly pro)
6)sunk cost fallacy - just cuz you have invested a lot of resources (time, money etc) on a particular item/task doesn't mean you shouldn't;t drop it even though dropping it clearly is the wiser choice. for example in an exam you are stuck in a particular qs then just move on, complete other questions and then come back to the ones you were previously stuck on. down let your ego in the way.
(and yes Gohar it does make a lot of sense! please keep creating more productivity hacks!)
8) tag your notes. (attend all lectures for this one it will end up being useful). - will be very useful when revising. generally lecturers mention which topics are really important, and sometimes there will be certain concepts which you have never heard of before/find hard to understand. mark them.
Useful, thx!
@@bgprofitgt7498 I will try that. Hope fully it works. Thanks by the way
I am studying High School Class 11.
We need more tips for High School!! Cause it is tough. I will go through my final exam!
hey, all the best
Who have exams very soon 👇👇
I have 😅
Mine are in January
Tomorrow 😢
In 3 days wish me luck
Mine is today. It’s literally 5:48 rn. I’m studying math and saw this vid.
Thats the video that helped me the most for history and other classes tysm Gohar!
You don't know how much this actually helped me change the perspective in assignments and studying as a whole (I was pretty much losing hope for my own self)
I can barely understand my Calc 1 professor, but when I found your video, it was pretty much the solution on how I should study more efficiently before an exam.
Praying I pass this first exam, because his accent was severely heavy and I had a hard time also reading his notes, so I pretty much have to teach myself the entirety of Calc 1.
Thank you, Gohar :D
hi there!!
Perfect timing, school ended for the day.
this is actually SO good, props to gohar for giving us pretty much all his tips!
Thank you for helping me study!
Hey! Gohar. Please make a video on how to learn anything faster and remember all the time.
I need to watch this again to fully grasp the information, thank you tho you are a lifesaver
Thank you!
Thank you for these videos they have helped me so much and make me less stressed about school
Keep it up Gohar!!!
8:45 this part is actually true, focus on the part that gives the highest marks, like for example you have part A:20 marks B:20 marks C:60 marks. focus on C slow and steady and make sure most your answers are right
This year is almost perfect, except that I'm fighting everything to get my 8 hours of sleep. Actually, I need help with that, Gohar!
Thanks for the tips I watched the whole video and took notes
“Video that many peoples wanted”
I think my school year got so much better recently
legends watching one day before the exam

double taping comment make u like it
my goal is to get to a 3.9 GPA and right now I have a 3.66 GPA, now that you've helped me understand more about how I should be studying for tests, quizzes, group projects, or any other assignments. I believe in myself that i can do it, thank you for helping us understand and learn more about spending my time wisely on my studying.
I just started high school in Italy and it's going well...I have good teachers who know how to teach...but we haven't started studying seriously yet...I hope for myself that it will be some beautiful 5 years of high school...with good grades...but thanks to gohar I know how to study in less time ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The hell has started
Shh don’t listen to the first reply hopefully ur highschool years will be good and you will study efficiently and get better grades, remember just don’t give up
I think your tips will work.
I used to have good grades during my middle school times and all I did was study the whole textbooks as the content was very less but since entering in high-school my grades have drastically dropped as I couldn't adapt to the new study styles and the contents in the textbooks were too much. After watching your video I am planning for a comeback using your tips. Thanks bro you earned a sub
11:03 idk if ur going to read this but i have had a tough start this year idk why
Honestly mate its been the same for me but lately its getting better.
I love this channel! I will use these tips in my exam that is in a few months, I really hope your tips work! Thank You so soo much Gohar!
Bro this is a saviour. He helped me in the social exam which I have tomorrow. there are like 30 units in it
People stop talking negatively about gohar he is trying to help u guys while you are busy at teasing him
My school year is so far good and a fun experience.
11:03 IT'S TERRIBLE I CRY IN THE BATHROOM EVERY SINGLE DAY I HATE SCHOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL 😭
Thanks, for not making my studies a waste of time
0:27 he says that he studies 4 times than student B, which is wrong. This is because student B studies 2hours while student A studies for 6hours. If you do the division the difference is 3 times. Bro legit having the coffee's side effect🤣
Bro that's so unesecsary
🤓
Ok.
That’s pretty cool to point out, but.. why?
@tngirlchamp6073it’s not like it takes 3 hours to complete a basic math problem. Unless you are 2 months old, it shouldn’t take that long to solve a basic math problem. You don’t need to be free to solve something as simple as “2x3=6”
1. Forget the amount of hours you study for
2. Read the summary’s- of the chapter in your notes first and then look at everyone underlined the charts etc
3. Batching- do your tasks/homework the ones that are most alike such as math and science and essay for reading and language arts
4. Give yourself constraints- more time=less effort, less time=more effort, set a timer before doing it but before ask yourself How long will it take? Then reduce from %10-20 then set timer
5. Leverage AI- Use apps like grammarly to help you with your work
6. Don’t idle-If you have any very hard questions don’t stay on them and skip them for now so you can keep working then do them later
7. Do mindless work first-Fixed task are mindless work flashcards finding images variable tasks are more mental energy writing a essay or brain storming ideas
8. Tag your notes-Make sure to figure out which units your already comfortable with and spend less time spending time studying on those and spend more time on the harder ones if they if your teacher says something your not familiar with then put a star next to it
Feel free to make any changes to this and put them in reply’s
The editing on this video deserves an oscar
This helped me a lot, I was in worried that I gonna fail exam, but after this video I felt motivated & did everything u said. Now I am not worried anymore.
My school year is going pretty well. This video is going to help me soo much with my homework thank you man :D
11:10 I think so far so great
(Don't worry about it this is for myself)
-Forget the hours
-Tackle weakness
-Quiz
-Pretend to teach
Main:
-Read backwards
-Batching
-Set timer (The lesser the better you study)
-don't waste too much time on 1 problem (Leave your ego & move on)

I swear man the only way to get good grades is if you got the horrible sleep schedule 😢
Thanks GoHar : I have a test tomorrow but seeing your vids helps me a lots

I'm 14 and realy followed allready these tips without even knowing what they are😅. What i'm trying to say here is that the tips Gohar is giving us are very good (even if they sound wierd the first time... ). Accualy, I use tag notes in tests: every thing that is hard, where I'm not sure about the answer I gave or if I don't have time to do them beacouse they are too time consuming are tagged by a little x to know to return to them when iI feel like I'm finished. Thank you!!!
Under 1 day 👇
deadline setting is the best.Because it makes your study steadily and constantly.❤❤❤❤
set a study plan is also great🎉
next video: how to not study and get perfect grades
I love your videos and shorts! I have 2 test tomorrow and this really helped.

Thanks for bringing up the videos financial education is indeed required for more than 70% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject.
you calmed me down i was really overwhelmed about grades thank you
Usually, when I look at a problem, I know whether it's worth wasting my time, and everyone knows it too. It's whether you know not to attend that question in order to not regret it that's the question
I have been using your school tricks for awhile now, and they are helping a lot so tysm for that, but when I forget about the tricks, I fail so hard😂
Please make a video on how to concentrate and not disturbed by distractions please
Put ur phone away😊
Another tip I have is dog earring your notes. This way I can have easy access to difficult math/physics problems that I NEED to review before a test. It saves soo much time, compared to frantically speed reading your textbook and all your notes to find things that you actually need to review.
What is working very well for me is instead of writing summaries or flashcards, i do the following:
1. Go through the material/presentation/video and make questions from the important points
2. When done going through the material, answer the questions by writing
3. check yourself by looking for the answer in the material
It DOES NOT matter how many mistakes you make as correcting makes you learn rocket fast.
4. Answer the questions you had wrong again and check until you have everything correct
5. next time studying for the subject, check yourself on your previously made questions and repeat the process for the new material
My school year is going very tough but after i saw your videos it became easy
Thanks for that good valuable information it was very helpful, I’m trying to study and do my homework on time so i can get good grades, I pray God to help me pass all my classes 🙏
