    Thank you for posting this. I have a '64 J200 that I'm converting to disc brakes. From the shop manual, it appears that there were a few options for rear axles in these early J trucks. Mine has a Dana 53 - is that what yours is? Also, did you ever decide to sell the brackets you designed?
    I know this video is from a long time ago, but hey, the truck is old too!

      No I never decided to sell the brake set. I’m not sure what rear axle I have. To be honest I don’t even know if the tag is still on there. Glad you enjoyed the video. I will have more coming this year on this truck! Been in storage but will be back out and working on it soon!

    Hi, really like your video. Was wondering if you still have the template for the rear caliper bracket. Also, how did you end up connecting the Mitsubishi calipers to your emergency brake?

    How did you get the key out?

    • @outdoorguy5485
      @outdoorguy5485  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rear drum should slide straight off and then the key should pop right out.

    please make a video of it after a period of use,seems OK on first sight but would be more informative to show that it is worth your try!

      I unfortunately only have time to work on it in the winter. I will post a video on that for you. Stay tuned but it could be a wile. After I hooked up the power brakes the stopping power was unbelievable.
