Hi Rob, I am trying to download the cheat sheets, but am unsuccessful. The link leads to your website and it tells me that the sheets are in the shopping cart, but there is no way to "buy" them. Unless you absolutely require vertical shooting option , get a used mini2 is way more robust.

I've been flying the M3P frequently for a month and I'm happy with it thus far. Almost all flights have been over the Atlantic Ocean near my home in the southeast USA. I'm almost always fighting the wind, including a few times in which the wind momentarily took control away from me, which was mildly terrifying. Each time the drone recovered itself and I was able to fly it again. Impressive! I have found that wind causes the batteries to deplete rapidly, so the standard 249g battery doesn't work well for me. I registered my M3P so I can use the Plus batteries. Registration was simple and now I can fly at least 30 minutes regardless of wind conditions.

Fantastic review again, thank you! I just bought (mostly due to your reviews and videos) a mini 3 pro fly more 2 days ago replacing my old friend the Mavic 2 zoom. I used the 2 zoom for roof inspections and now I feel a bit ashamed about how much I have charged for that qulaity now that I see what this mini miracle can do.

Great set of shot locations! In fact, I saw my home at 11:46, just up and to the right of center, just above the golf course. Hiked the Pill Box many times. BTW Rob, I'm the guy who thought that the Insta360 GO 3 would be released at this year's NABSHOW. I guess Insta360 is really have some technical issues leading up to its release.

I agree with most the of pros except that the main pro for me is battery life of the extended batteries. Other than that I prefer my original mini2 to the mini 3 pro, but you can't buy it anymore (only the SE which is a lesser drone). I have a more extensive list of cons. 1. Wind performance - dji released a firmware update somewhere around Feb. 2023 that neutered the performance in the wind. Now it cuts power, and does this violent stop/go thing and won't go forward into the wind. Both of my mini 3 pros act this same way after the update. 2. Signal strength - for some reason, some of them have normal signal strength equal to any other mavic drones, but some of them have much much less. One of mine has terrible signal strength which makes it very frustrating to fly in trees like what you demonstrate in this video because the video feed is constantly choppy and it will go into RTH mode for no apparent reason and try to fly into the canopy above if you forget to pre-set the signal loss action to hover. 3. Camera quality - while it looks great initially, the mini 2 and even my old original mavic air has a better quality sensor that you can really notice when you start trying to crop in on shots. 4. Focus issues - one of mine kept getting intermittent focus issues. It would just suddenly go completely blurry mid flight, and you couldn't make it focus through manual or auto focus. Try flying it home like that when you can't see the trees and rocks around you! It would also be stuck like this about half the time when you powered up the drone. I'd have to power it on and off several times to get the focus to start working again. Eventually I just started taking a second drone and using that one instead in the case of trying to catch a timely opportunity quickly. 5. Overall buggyness - I've never owned such a buggy drone in over 10 years of flying. I even had it once just blow away in the wind because the stick quit responding. I had yaw control but nothing else, and it ended up 2km away in a forest, taking an entire day to find it again. Never had something like that happen in over 1000 hours of flying. Anyway it's still a highly used drone in my arsenal, but I'm ready for the next thing from dji.

@@RobHK Because it takes 3 full weeks to get a replacement under the dji care express program, and the replacement fee often costs more than if I source parts and fix it myself. Therefore I only use care express when there's a fatal issue that I can't fix. For what it's worth, these drones were replacements from the program.

May I ask how do you charge the batteries during hiking? At 17:00 you said as soon as the first battery is used up you put it on charge. But what do you use to charge with when out in the nature?
I use the Anker powercore 3 elite 26500mAh power bank, if im out for a full day i bring 2 of these.

Thanks Rob great owner review! I've had this drone for about 4 months now and my only complaint is that when shooting hyperlapses in windy conditions it shows the instability a little more. I'll be picking up the Air 3 or just jump to A Mavic for this problem.
That’s strange, i did one here and result was good, some shakes to be seen, but added the slightest stabilization in post and you couldn’t tell.🤙
Of course if this is the main mode, i would probably opt in for the classic😎

Have you had any issues with the AF? I find that the Mini3Pro often misses AF and gives me soft images/video. I have tried with manual AF and that works, so there is nothing wrong with the lens or so. I saw that at least one of your forest clips looked out of focus.
I have experienced the same thing. I've tried touching the screen on the focus of my shot, but it still gives me soft or unfocussed results.
The clip was only out of focus because it was a follow shot from a longer flight where i set the focus.
I don´t have focus issues, i always adjust the focus and lock it for each clip 👍

Surprised when talking about batteries there was no mention that you really should use the standard ones because of the sheer amount of regulations you are exempt from in most countries because it's classed as a micro drone
