    This is my first FPV experience (but have done RC for 13 years now, just never did fpv) and the avata 2 is absolutely amazing. Just this morning I flew 3100 meters from the house and back just cause my wife wanted to know if the outdoor swimming pool there was really bussy. So I went and had a look. Just love it love it love it love it.

      @@RobHK What I love about flying digital and DJI is that even from laying on my bed if I stay 45 meters high or so I can fly in a 500 meter radius and only have 3 or 4 angles where I have a bad signal. If I fly from my balcony my radius becomes almost 1500 meters at 45 meters. Or 1000 meters at 25 meters or 750 meters at 15 except for some angles where to many trees and building line up. Ocusync 4 is absolutely phenomenal when it comes to dealing with interference. 10 years ago I wanted to start FPV but I am glad I waited, the technology has improved so so so much. 10 years ago I would have mainly seen static snow and a landscape pixel here and there and now I am getting a 16:9 1080p/60 fps HD video signal at 60 mbit in my goggles! Fucking amazing. I am flying so much I might start identifying as a bird. 4 - 10 batteries a day for 20 days straight now.

    I’ve been truly enjoying my Avata 2 with the flying more package. You definitely need more than one battery to really go out and enjoy flying it. I only own the DJI mini three pro before this and I actually got bored with it because up and down right and isn’t that much fun. I’ve only been using it with the motion controller and I flipping love it. The past three mornings I went out right at sunrise and just flew it around just to give me some peaceful flying time for myself. Plus, it’s fun flying it. I own 23 acres of forest and just zipping around the treetops and flying around the house is so peaceful it’s worth every penny. I’ve gone out and followed a couple ATV racers while they were out riding around and took some beautiful footage. The motion controller is so easy to use. I think I’m just gonna stick with it then trying to get all advance like the professional FPV flyers.

    The sharp right roll that happens at 1:59 is *exactly* the same thing I have noticed multiple times now on my Avata 2, and I’ve seen other TH-camrs have the same experience. It seems pretty clear to me that something is messed up in the tuning of the quad, or in the flight controller itself. Should be fixable with a firmware update? But I'm not sure DJI knows there's an issue yet.

  • @bendikjohnsen

    What are compromises with it being C1 classified? I heard rumours that the speed is limited to 19m/s in manual mode. Is this the case? And do you know if there is a work around like declassifying it or something similar?

    The Avata 2 has been a great drone so far in my experience. Flown DJI GPS drones for years and Part 107'd since 2019. First time FPV pilot however and it's been a blast from the MC3 to the RC3 flying manual now. I can see some limitations that it has definitely but seems like a decent enough cinewoop :)

      With the betafpv aquilla 16 for in the house and the avata 2 for outside, I think it's the best any beginner can get for maximum fun and minimum misery.

    I just got my FlyMore Combo two days ago. Haven’t unboxed until I can give it my undivided attention. First I intend to start with goggles/motion controller to use with the Mini 4 Pro to learn the controls, and goggles use! Since the Mini has obstacle avoidance, I won’t have to worry as much if I mess up on the controls. Then the ultimate promotion to the Avata 2 will speak for itself on excitement. Thanks for the tips! Back soon!🇺🇸

      You could also start with the beginner mode tho which will give you a better feel of it👍

    • @KainniaK
      @KainniaK 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Just start in beginner mode on the motion controller and don't forget to turn on headtracking!
      However DO NOT GET TO USED TO THE MOTION CONTROLLER. because thumb sticks on the controller 3 are 10x more accurate. And as soon as you learn how to fly with sticks you are never going to want to go back to flying with the motion controller. You can't go trough a gap at 60 km/h in sport mode with the motion controller, but you totally can with the controller 3.

    • @DingleBerryschnapps
      @DingleBerryschnapps 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@KainniaK the motion controller is the perfect controller for this drone and what it was made for. It's made for cruising and cinematography.
      The reason the rc is sold separately is because it's kind of going beyond its scope to fly it that way.
      With a drone that can't be easily repaired you're taking a chance flying through gaps regardless. Why not just fly through them slowly and then speed up the video. Or buy a bind and fly that's easier to fix.
      I have regular RC's for my bind and flies and self-built, but I will probably always use the motion controller with the Avata.
      Btw, suggesting people go through gaps at that speed with the Avata is bad advice. I understand your brand new to fpv. Maybe figure it out first before you start giving out advice.

    • @KainniaK
      @KainniaK 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@DingleBerryschnapps It's not going to take long for any beginner to fly through a big gap at 60 km/h in sport mode. That's quite different from hitting a small gap in acro at 100 km/h
      And if you want to make cinematic shots, the controller 3 is much more accurate and less janky for making smooth movements.
      The only shots that you can make with the motion controller and not really that easily with the controller 3 is when you have headtracking on and are flying in a different direction as you are looking.

    There is one thing I don't understand. The avata 2 and the action 4 share the same camera sensor, the avata 2 camera is basically the action 4 without the weight. So why would you still put an action 4 on top?

    I’ve been flying the avata 2 for 2 weeks now and it’s been perfect, The only fault I’ve found which is quite serious is the avata flipping to one side as you try to do a sharp turn, I don’t think this is do with the weight but the motors not spinning fast enough on the turns!

      True! But thats just how it is☹️ would be nice with “avata 2 pro” with more power and more like a custom fpv drone in terms of performance

    • @silverfox74
      @silverfox74 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@RobHK The reason is due to the C1 class mark in the EU restricting the max speed in full manual mode to 42.5MPH. In the UK and US the drone can fly at 60MPH+ in full M mode so we don't have that problem as the FAA and CAA don't use class markings unlike the EASA. Making a 'pro model' would be pointless if it's still a C1 class in EU as it will always be underpowered at 42.5MPH. But that's just how it is!

    Following EU rules, you can not fly drone so far that your spotter cant see it :D Yes, you also need a spotter for FPV :D So technically your minor con is not relevant at all, but i see why you mention it (giggle)

      Following US rules, you also can not fly drone so far that your spotter can't see it. Also following both US and EU rules you should wait for a red light as a pedestrian even at 3 am in a small town where the last car past 6 hours ago.
