- VEGAN vs VEGETARIAN what's the difference
Veganism and vegetarianism are both dietary choices which involve avoiding the consumption of animals and animal-based products.
However, there are some distinct differences between the two lifestyles. The main difference is diet.
While vegetarians abstain from eating animals and animal-based products, vegans take this a step further and also avoid any products derived from animals, such as eggs, dairy, honey, and leather.
Even if a product does not contain animal-based ingredients, vegans also avoid any products that are tested on animals or involve animal exploitation.
In addition to dietary differences, veganism is often considered a lifestyle that goes beyond just food choices. It is an ethical stance that opposes speciesism and prioritizes the rights of animals.
For some, veganism is a way of life, while for others it is simply a dietary preference.

The 2 key differences between a vegan and a vegetarian are;
1.Vegans don't even drink milk, they just eat leaves and grass while vegetarians consume milk , eggs and most other products that do not contain animal meat or fish
2.Vegetarians don't Rage at you for eating chicken nuggets, they either don't react or just look away
I know the difference as a vegetarian
Human can not eat grass and leaves
@@MeruutoTWOshould I try out be vegetarian
@@riyagupta-gr6qthave you ever heard of toddlers
@@OceanDHunter no
So basically, Vegans are an exaggeration of vegetarians.
i haven’t eaten meat for a week, because of some health issues, and man i’m starting to like it. i can THINK better
I am vegetarian and i dont eat eggs also in India egg is considered non vegetarian cuz it is basically the child of an animal.
Dairy is as bad as eggs, though, in terms of the harm it causes to female cows.
@@jypapiiiii well if u have ever went to Indian Villages then u would see that there cows are respected and are respectfully prayed and no person would harm them
Yep. As an Indian I agree
@@jypapiiiiiwe love animals. But we live in a mutual relationship in our mindsets. We consider cows to be holy because they give us Dairy products. Meaning, ghee, butter, dahi, paneer, chhenna, etc. We love cows. Our biggest milk brand, Amul, is not a company or a factory. It's a cooperative society of farmers. We care for animals and in turn they help us.
@@sanaira190 Do you know how these animals produce so much milk to meet the market demand and what happens to the male calves, and the female cows once they stop producing milk?
If you're not vegan, you shouldn't be calling yourself an animal lover. India is one of the largest beef exporters for a reason.
Some vegetarians out there probably don't use leather clothing but use wool from sheeps instead bc you don't have to kill sheep to get wool
Yes. They dont eat leather. Unlike the average human
Lol
I’m vegetarian 🥑
As an vegetarian i always avoid products that harm or kill animals such as meat, leather and bone but i do still consume eggs dairy that are pasture raised.
So vegan = pure vegetarian?
No
I am vegan because animal lives are worth more than a sandwich, a pair of shoes or a handbag. 💗💗💗💗
Yo im not here to hate just curious, why do vegans dont eat unfertilised chicken eggs its not like there is baby chicken in there.(Again im just curious)
Me too 💚💚
@@admirhalilbasic5928because the egg industry is awful. For example, male chickens aren’t considered useful to the industry, so they are killed.
@@robynjoyner2324 oh thanks for info
@@admirhalilbasic5928 no problem :)
I’m vegan and you are absolutely correct that being vegan is more than just a lifestyle choice
Preach. It is a goofy cult
@@GarudaLegendsshut up. It is your opinion and it is our opinion. You want to harm and make other animals die for your food than thats your choice. We just wanna do what we do. U have no rights to call us idiots or something
Veganism is a religious and political ideology
Respect for Vegans
Vegan for 30 years, married to a vegan. Raised two vegan children now in their twenties and still vegan. My father in his eighties has been plant-based over 10 years and fitter than ever.
I think I should try it
What are your top 10 foods?
I feel vegetarian is more realistic to sustain
Vegetarianism is better than Veganism and Non-vegetarianism. It's the best of both worlds.
And this is why vegans are considered crazy
Why so ?
@@SSStofu008Umm maybe bc they don't want rest of the world to eat meat just bc they don't eat meat 🤡
@@Republican_barb yea including human and dog meat do you agree?
@@SSStofu008 if you want to dog meat that's your problem, I don't give a fck!! That's my point, leave people alone!!! Eating human is illegal so you can't compare it to pork, beef, lame or chicken 🤷🏼♀️
@@Republican_barb why not what makes humans special
No, they are ethical choices
Not from bees? Like the bees pollination of other plants?
Leather Is NOT Vegetarian OR Vegan. 🙄
I love chicken and stuff I raise my chicken for my home use
no
all about core vitality of man
among all other livings expect plant based that contitutes direct sun light nourishment
So veganism is just hardcore vegetarianism 😂
I'm a carnivore that eats vegetables......😢😮😅😊
Then your an omnivore.
1st line and it's ALREADY WRONG! Veganism is not a dietary choice. Good thing they pointed out later that this is a life-style and ethical stance. But ethics is the main reason. Food is just an extension from those ethics. People that go vegan for any reason other than ethics are likely to go back to a standard diet. Because health, environment and other reasons are debatable. But animals being killed for taste and clothes is indisputable, because there are other options that do not invovle a victim.
Vegetarians don't eat eggs
Some do some don't
Vegetarians cana eat eggs since vegetarianism is about not eating dead animals.
@@nightmarefanatic1819 bro wdym? Do you know how many dairy products these vegetarians consume?
Like just extracting milk from a cow gives it so much pain and suffer-age?i would honestly rather kill the animal and fill some stomachs instead of giving it so much pain
We’ll some don’t and some do eat eggs. Vegetarians who eat eggs are sometimes called eggatarians
Vegetarians do eat eggs, but in some cases other vegetarians don't, their called lacto Vegetarians meaning they drink cow milk and eat other dairy products 🥚🧀🍦🍯🥛🍰🥧🧁🍪🍫🍧🍨🍮🥞🧇
Yum nuggets
Vegans need to know that there taking the food that animals eat away from them. Not to be a hater vegans 😅❤
Most of the food I eat isn’t edible to animals
80% of agriculture is only used to feed livestock. So, non-vegans indirectly have a significantly larger demand for plants.
Also humans don’t go into the wild and pick berries (on a large scale as our main food source) but I have a question do you drink milk or eat honey?
Meh.
