"Be kind with yourself" is such a wise thing to say in any setting. Thanks for these videos.

Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been a vegetarian for over 20 years. I have tried to eat the plant-based alternative meat products but I find that I don’t want to eat those just like a don’t want to eat regular meat. For me, it is a taste and texture thing and I just don’t like it. I find it difficult to incorporate other things in my meals to get my protein. I like the idea of using lentils in your recipe. I’m going to try that as one option.

Other than lentils there are plenty of other bean options to use too and also tofu and tempeh ❤

I thought you can get all the protein you need plus extra without even trying on a veg diet.

I am ovo vegetarian and I'm working on being vegan but i think even in a vegan diet you can find protein literally everywhere. You can find proteins in all type of legumes, tofu, tempeh, seitan, peanut butter, soy milk and vegan yogurts. Also omega 3 can be found in flaxseeds, Chia seeds, walnuts etc.
All the other nutrients can be found in vegetables, fruits and whole grains.
The only problem in a vegan diet is b12 that is usually added in animal food so that their meat and products are full of this vitamin cause exactly like us they don't produce it on their own. I think it's better go back to the source and take b12 supplements.

Thank you Lucie! This is so helpful. I've been vegan in the past for about 4 years, vegetarian for 10, flexitarian etc...I'm trying To figure out what's best for my body so I'm in a transitional phase. (*flexitarian...when you enjoy salmon or fish on vacation or once in a while during the month because I've never eaten or like red meat) However, I have always been a picky eater so have difficulty committing to anything because of my reluctance to try new foods like you stated. I would like to grow as an eater to suit my palate and probably stay vegetarian. I would love to see a video on "a day in your life" if you were eating as a beginner vegetarian and how you can incorporate/implement some of these ideas you pointed out here. Something to maybe keep us posted about. Thank you.

Hey Lucie, have you made a video on vegetarian omega 3 sources? I'd love a video on this.

Flaxseeds and chia seeds have a ton of omega 3!! They’re super easy to incorporate into a lot of things too like oatmeal and smoothies so I would highly recommend getting those 💖
Edit: I just watched the video and I realized she brought this up lmao oops

Love your new hair color👍👍I eat a lot of beans and tofu being vegetarian, and I love eggs and salmon! Do eat those. Have you read Dr Joel Fuhrman’s book yet EAT TO LIVE? Nutritarian diet makes perfect sense and prevents disease. G-Bombs are the healthiest foods: greens, beans, onions, mushrooms, berries, seeds and nuts👍

I am beginning to stop eating meat 🥩. Is it ok to eat sustainable Seafood though ? Anyways I chose to give meat up cause I get tummy upset. & genuinely feel awful after eating meat . I also find when I eat vegetarian dishes I choose better & prep better. & I generally feel happier 😀

Thank you for this video :) I’m 80% vegetarian- I include fish in my diet because being honest it’s a food I really enjoy and fortunately in Ireland our fish is sustainably sourced the majority of the time. I’m very aware that’s not the case in all countries and appreciate that privilege.
For me balance is key- while as part of my ED recovery I got out of the habit of scrutinising ingredients I do pay attention to ingredients lists of any meat alternatives I use and do mainly focus on beans and legumes eggs and tofu if not having fish.
Thank you for commenting on the fact that protein is in majority of foods. I wonder do you have a response to the current widespread protein obsession (protein yoghurts, protein shakes, protein pancakes etc, obsessively tracking macros) For me, maintaining a neutrality around foods is important and I worry that this will lead to increased orthorexia for both women and men.
