    Can I add the line driver from one of your other videos to power this? Is this a better set up than the video that adds the line driver to the marine BT?

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes this is alot better than using a line driver, the drive brings other receivers up to the output of this receiver.

    I connected bluetooth to the auxiliary on my Technics SU-V85A amplifier. I only get sound from the left speaker and crackles from the right. Same in aux 2. If I connect it to tuner, tape 1/2/3 it works fine. If I hook my cd player into aux 1&2 that works fine without the speaker issue as with the bluetooth. Could it just be too weak of signal from my bluetooth to the aux jacks causing the issue?

    • @breakerbroke23

      try different RCAs and if you can try the BT unit on another stereo that would confirm a bad device. ALL of this stuff is made in china and they are not known for QC... IMO

    Thanks for your videos. I have a few set ups from the 70's and currently am running a Pioneer sx737, w a turntable, cd player and a couple of JBL L19's...and have been thinking of BT. I was thinking of a HK BTA 10, to get my feet wet...will I be happy with it? Or should I just bite the bullet and spend the extra cash and go w the bluDento?

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bludento. for sure. I like the HK it is a good unit but if can go a few dollars more then for sure go BD. Big upgrade, the newer Bluetooth 5.0 sounds so much better and the pre amp level is stronger. Better sound overall. Cheers and thanks for watching.

    So what do I have to have in the way of bluetooth receiver(s) on my speakers if I want to eliminate the wired connections from the amp to them

    • @breakerbroke23

      No way to make the speakers "wireless" that I know of. This may work for you if you dont have to use your main amp.

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      While the device in this video will sound better, you may have a RCA cord/adapter issue. I would try a different cable from the BT unit to your receiver. Well worth a try, but you still have a good excuse to "upgrade" Cheers.

    • @breakerbroke23

    I have an older LG 65UH6150 TV. Can I use this device to connect to the TV so that I can run the television sound through my vintage Marantz 2235B receiver? I think the TV can receive a BT signal, but will it transmit to this device?

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  ปีที่แล้ว

      The TV cannot receive a BT signal. The TV can transmit a BT signal to most any receiver. HOWEVER.... You need to look for a BT receiver that is LL ... low latency....
      Be careful as a lot of these high end receivers are focused on audio quality and not LL for watching video.
      I personally use a schitt modi3 DAC amzn.to/3V6Uool for playing TV through my home stereo, I take the optical out from the TV to the modi3 then go RCA out from the modi3 and feed into AUX in on my 2250b receiver. Zero lip sync issues and better audio quality. IMHO..
      Cheers

      @@breakerbroke23 Thank you for the reply! I tried one of those cheap DAC's (about $35) and, using the optical out from the TV/RCA inputs to my previous Pioneer tuner, all I got was a loud clicking noise. Was it the cheap DAC, or is there something in the TV's settings I should have changed?

Cool thing is, if you get into BT you can always use the devices on other stereos, like Car, garage, boat and on. If you don't like BT, then your not out big bucks. Cheers.

    Will this transmit music to a wireless speaker at the same time as my wired speakers?

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, this is a bluetooth receiver. You would need a bluetooth transmitter to do that, and if your wired speakers are near your wireless speaker you will get and echo effect(latency)because there is a slight delay going through the bluetooth transmitter. I do have a video showing how to add a transmitter to your stereo. Cheers

      IMHO YES!
      But keep in mind these receivers are 40+ years old and can give you trouble from time to time ( caps, dirty volume control etc ) and then there are receivers that just keep going flawlessly. So as say its a crap shoot:) Sound wise the vintage units do sound better, by far. Most modern receivers do not have the amplifier section and pre section that the older units have. (OMG AV receivers are the worst!) Get the right unit like a Marantz, Pioneer, Sansui in good condition and when or if you decide to sell it you will more than likely get out of it what you paid or you may make a few dollars. Cheers

      VCR/DAT Audio inputs will work just fine (Red&White RCAs). FYI.... Phono will not work as it is way to sensitive, it is not meant for standard line level.
