      I'm actually interested, I was thinking of having 6 of them put into my car so that it can power each speaker individually and have the sub powered by a 7th 100 watt mono, I know it sounds expensive but considering how much a 6 channel plus 1 channel mono costs it's quite cheap.
      And if you are wondering "how would you set the volume?" it's simple... the head unit of course, set the amps to just below clipping and have the headunit be the volume control... you know, like normal amps are.

    Funnily enough I bought a Nobsound NS10G a couple of days ago as my huge hifi power amp decided to stop working after a few years and just like you I was very skeptical and thought at worst I'd waste £28...how wrong was I? So impressed and doubt very much that I'll go back to my hundreds of pounds hifi amp. easy peasy to set up and the sound is phenomenal. don't know why I didn't think of doing a search BEFORE buying but at least we both know how good they are! thank you

    I bought the Nobsound NS-20G a few years ago when our old amp died. I bought it without a power supply as cheaper, and then used an old unused laptop power brick, if your brick is under rated it will use all it can and self limit without distortion. A more powerful brick equals more volume. It sounds great and bluetooth has good range. Very happy, highly recommended.

    Hey, thanks for the reviews on these. One thing that bugs me about all of them is they all lie about their power output. You don't get 200W with a 19v 3a power supply... It's mathematically impossible (19x3=57 [NS-20G]).
    Bigger power supply you say? Nope. I used a 24v 5a power supply hoping to get just shy of 120w with the NS-20G and it can't handle that much power. Terrible noise and distortion. Contacted company and they basically told me it can't handle more power.
    3116 chip is a great chip, but only good for 100w. Some amps that claim to output more than 100w with only one TPA3116 chip? Lies.
    Anyway, my main point is that almost all these companies exaggerate their amp output. Research the chips they use. Multiply power supply V x A = W. Those are real numbers...the rest is all marketing fluff.

      i bought a Hypersound AV260 bluetooth 2.1 amp last year it says 50W + 50W but wheni had it checked the technician said its only 15W per channel…. used it for only a year then the sound went off.

    • @ruekurei88
      @ruekurei88 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      "with only one TPA3116 chip? Lies" That's probably because it has two of those chips. From the official site and products specification page: ' the output power is improved to 200W (100W*2) with 2PCS TPA3116 chip.'. It's the only one of these similar amps that has it. The rest tap out at 100w or 50w.

    Thanks for the demo. I'm going to get the first one. I want it to be small and simple for a three way speaker set and it seems to be enough, because I don't need it to be extremely loud anyway. I don't need bass & treble too because I can have a super powerful app on my Linux laptop with more like a dozen of sound enhancing plugins. I'm going to put it on the back of one of the speakers and set the volume knob to an optimal level and control the volume on my PC. These mini amps are cool if you need something that won't make a mess and have a decent sound for normal listening.

    These " digital" amp are truly a real revolution in hifi, I compared a few of them ( s.m.s.l & douk sound) to a NAD amp and found out that they sound really good, only thing with digital amp is that as soon you reach clipping point ( playing,very,very loud) the get a very ugly distortion, but that was always THE selling point of NAD with their " soft clipping" ,but for home use at normal listening levels really good

    I'm glad your testing all these amps in your videos, since you have so many amps maybe you could do a video series where you test these amps for BASS SHAKERS mainly for sim racing and even home cinema etc..... there isn't many good videos online about this topic. and sim racing using these small amps is a big deal so it would be cool to have someone test these with bass shakers. aka "butt kickers" preferably affordable bass shakers, like Dayton audio this would bring a new audience to your channel. anyways great video.

    As a "newbie" to AUDIO stuff in general … and specifically {Passive speakers} with {mini amps with bluetooth} I found this review and bought a NOBSOUND NS-10G to use with a pair of old PYRAMID outdoor speakers I happened to have, to use on my patio. (I’m not expecting “audiophile” type quality).
    - “Vented Design for High Power and Low Bass - 150 Watts Power RMS/300 Watts Peak”
    - “Heavy Duty ABS Construction w/Rubber Edge - 4 Ohm Speaker Impedance”
    I couldn't get the NS-10G to work in any way reasonably, so I’m returning it today. But after looking in more detail to at least understand “Audio” basic kind of stuff a little more, I’m now looking at "upgrading" to the NS-20G model, that I believe you actually reviewed. However, in looking at AMAZON comments on it as well, there seem to be consistent comments that say it >seriously< overheats (doesn't have a large enough heat sink; gets too hot to even touch; it’s electronics won’t last, etc.)
    I’d appreciate any comments anyone might have about the NS-20G and it’s “issue” of overheating.
    (Another “newbie: question. Would replacing the power adapter that comes with the NS-20G with an adapter that can provide more “power” (? that I’ve seen references to), help with the mini amp's electronics “overheating” issue or would that help with some other speaker "audio" quality issue?)
    Thanks.

      @hanzdidit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So far every speaker I have connected and to these amp Has worked and sounded great. It is possible that you may be got a defective amp. I would try the NS - 20G and see if it works.

      @@hanzdidit Great, Hanz. Thanks, I'll order it then. The NS-10G (50 watts/channel) that I got and tried initially (trying to "cheap out") was stopping / "cutting out" for a # of seconds ... I guess to avoid overheating it's electronics. The NS-20G model has a higher overload / overheating limit (100 watts/channel) so if that might have been the problem with the -10G I had, it hopefully won't be an issue).

    The Neoteck is really the same amp as the Fosi one for less money. BTW, they have fixed the spark issue, which the first Fosi one had too, and they also make a Bluetooth version too. It seems to be the same one sold under the Fosi, Nobsound, Douk, Neoteck, and Pyle brand names. I just bought the Neoteck BT one, 'cause it was the least expensive one, for $49, while the Fosi is $79, and the Nobsound/Douk is $55

    Oh and I should add that these amps are so small and powerful, because they're class D amplifiers similar to those used in car radios and compact powered studio monitors and bookshelf speakers. Also they use external power supply. I don't know if they're really 50 watts of usable power, because they can have some distortion and compression going on like half of the volume. It also depends what power supply you use. But for normal listening you need like one third of it's power.

    I really like this review as it shows the basics of how each unit works. I was looking to use one of these type amps to drive a passive subwoofer. I would love to see you do a follow up video on these same device if it were used to power a passive sub using the RCA or 3.5mm input on the device. The key things to understand is, what does it take to switch each amp to the aux input (if anything), and will it retain that setting each time the amp is turned on. Similarly, will it retain the volume setting. The amps where the on/off is part of the volume controller would not be good since no one would want to have to adjust the volume each time the amp is turned on, but if the model can be turned off/on where it retains both the volume and the aux input setting, it would be a good choice (understanding that the amps aren't mega powerful). The NS-10G seemed like it would fit the bill but I noticed that when it was turned on it defaulted to Bluetooth mode which wouldn't be good. Anyway, if you are up for doing another video to use these devices for subwoofer application, I would love to see it.

      Hey Midlander
      I am always up for doing more videos if they are helpful. I am going to be working on a video focusing on subwoofers, but I have done two other videos with speaker builds where I am installing amps similar to what you're asking about. I use input AUX cord to plug into an Alexa Dot. I set the volume to what would be the equivalent of about eight or nine, high enough to be loud but not so high that there would be any hiss. I can control the volume asking Alexa To raise or lower the volume. Every time it turns on it will default to the AUX and the volume will always be the same as where I left it. Here are the links to the two video I have done, let me know what you think.

      OK, thanks. That showed me that the mini amp you used for that project, which looked like the F900 one, will automatically switch to the aux input. You did a good job on that project but I hate to cut into things like that. I would have opted to just use double-sided tape or something that is reversible in case I wanted to use the speaker elsewhere later, but that just me (and not knocking your project because that's the way you wanted it). Don't know if you noticed but there are little XY-AP50H or XY-AP50L kits (think the L is a little smaller) that are supposed to use the same amp chip as the mini amps you tested for

  • @shawnm1856

    I don't remember if it's the same company but a company makes an amp that looks similar to the long, black one you tested. They include in their manual that you should connect the amp to the power cord before connecting the power adapter to an outlet. Otherwise an arc spark results.

    A thump through the speakers when amp is turned on is very common, and can be very annoying. In fact there are 3s delay circuit boards you can buy to try avoid it. For example, on Amazon reviews the Nobsound NS-20G has reported to have a thump at least by one reviewer. It's not always clear if you've powered them up in all cases on camera. It's a nice thing to know. Though the USB mode voice on power up can be nice, it can also be nice not to have it. I use one in my bathroom that gets turned on with the light switch, and I don't want to hear this (or a thump) every time since I don't use audio every time I enter the bathroom. I hope someday we'll see options to turn it on or off on amps.

    Great video! I can tell how much you enjoy your music. I have a boat and it's time to change out the stereo system. All I want really is a Bluetooth amp like the one you reviewed here. I can use the current wiring from the 12 V battery and the speaker wires for the four speakers. The boat's in winter storage so I can't see right now exactly the size/OHMs/Impedance of the speakers but they're not huge. they are just standard. The current amp that's driving the system is a "Seaworthy" blackbox. I want to bypass that entirely. The specs on the seaworthy amp say 4×40 W and I'm not really sure if one of the Bluetooth amps that you're reviewing will push enough power to those speakers. although I think if they're powering your beast-like speakers they will definitely power the four I have in the boat. Do you have any ideas about what I might do for this kind of application?

    • @hanzdidit
      @hanzdidit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure about the marine applications with these mini amps, I have not seen any that are waterproof so far. Then again I guess most car stereos aren’t waterproof, LOL. I think that these amps would be perfect for your application I tried putting one in my van and it worked great. All the wires should just hook up straight out of your car stereo just hook up your left and right speakers and you need power and that’s it. Good luck with your project let me know how it turns out. Thanks for watching.

    My 2yo Nobsound NS jack input connection just stopped working, not a very durable device.
    For the price, it’s ok, but not good enough. Not recommended.
    I’m currently looking for a better unit for my desktop setup. Any recommendations?

    Hi hanz,
    Hey can you show how did you connect the 4 speakers you said you connect with this mini amps.
    My question is because I want to install a mini amp to play 4 speaker in my patio and I only see that this amps only have 2 channels for only 2 speakers.
    Thank you for any information.

    • @hanzdidit
      @hanzdidit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The simple answer is you have a + and a - and L and R speakers to hook up on your amplifier. You can connect as many speakers as long as the plus and minus are connected correctly to the speaker and It is best to have equal amounts of speakers on the L and the R.
      The way I did it was I hooked a wire up to the amp that went to the speaker and I daisychained that wire to another speaker, I did that on both the L and R sides. Depending on how many amps your speakers draw, the only downside would be that you could lose a bit of volume out of one or both speakers. I have to say my set up was plenty loud. For Bluetooth of 3.5 connection I really like the: amzn.to/37YPCzT Simple and work great. The way that you are going to ruin your speakers is by turning this up too loud. If You are using an amp that is 100 W per channel it will exceed your 75 W Delivering too much wattage to your speaker intern blowing them out. I believe this one is 100 total so 50 x 50, you should not have a problem. Thanks for watching!

    Better read the manual:
    Please connect power supply with the device firstly and then plug it into socket. Otherwise there may be electric spark. (All class D amplifiers are similar. This is very normal.)
    This was from the Nobsound Manual.
