I wonder next year gundam story 2021 adaptation gundam walpurgis, moon gundam, gundam 0081, gundam 0094 across of sky, gundam f90 fastest formula or gundam burai.
I definitely hope for all of those titles to be adapted as well. An adaptation of Gundam Walpurgis would be awesome. However, the upcoming Moon Gundam one (as teased at the end of the U.C Chronicles short) is pure hype.
Its strange that while Turn A headpiece does not look like a Gundam at a glance I can tell its a Gundam. Not from the anime but from holding the toy in my hand my first thoughts was this is definitely a Gundam.
The designs of Iron Blooded Orphans always resonated with me. I think it has something to do with the fact that the Gundam frames have a “feminine” twist to them as opposed to the other series’ design aesthetics. The Gundam frames in Iron Blooded Orphans are very unique. The slim and questionably vulnerable waists, the emphasis on the legs, feet with heels, sharper designs, and demon motif of the mobile suits has a subtle appeal, at least to me. The blocky design of the other series never really grabbed me in all honesty, with the exception of 00’s, which feels like a middle ground between IBO and the original Mobile Suit Gundam
I've been getting into Gundam myself lately (dragged feetfirst into it, really...), and I started with the original series. It definitely started off slow, but my god has it been satisfying to see it through. From the very beginning, Gundam was never just about flashy robots, and I really appreciate that even if I do find myself posing gunpla for like half an hour at a time lmao
Binging your videos! Thank you for a great one to go through the Gundam designs in the franchise in a great package. Was hoping to see Gundam Ez8 from my favourite Gundam series 08th MS Team~ Gonna share this lekker video to my GUNPLA South Africa community! ;)
To me, I always believed Gundam’s were samurai robots because they looked like polygonal samurai armor and the way Gundams carry their beam sabers behind their back to be used like ninjas and how they draw their beam sabers by their sides, as if they were drawing a katana sword, always gave it a samurai look and feel to them in my opinion 😁
Definitely explains the crested headgear. During one scene in Mobile Fighter G Gundam the mc and his enemy were shown to personify their respective gundams. It went from their faces with the helmet section, adding on the mouth guard and finally the eyes till the heads were back to normal. During that process it smack me in the face with how obvious the gundam heads were reminiscent of samurai helmets and mouthguards.

There's so much fan service in them(No not the kind where the girls strip naked for no reason) that every single episode of each, especially when seeing a new Gunpla, you can tell what the Gunpla is based on and as a person who collects them and builds customs myself, i just love it and i love that Bandai and Sunrise have given us something so lighthearted and fun to watch.
I wonder next year gundam story 2021 adaptation gundam walpurgis, moon gundam, gundam 0081, gundam 0094 across of sky, gundam f90 fastest formula or gundam burai.
Maybe Mobile Suit Gundam Walpurgis and mobile suit Gundam Crossbone series in adapted into anime I hope in future anime.
Moon gundam is next, they kinda teased it before.
I definitely hope for all of those titles to be adapted as well. An adaptation of Gundam Walpurgis would be awesome. However, the upcoming Moon Gundam one (as teased at the end of the U.C Chronicles short) is pure hype.
I want an anime of sentinel, crossbone and 0083 rebellion
Its strange that while Turn A headpiece does not look like a Gundam at a glance I can tell its a Gundam. Not from the anime but from holding the toy in my hand my first thoughts was this is definitely a Gundam.
From where is the NU Gundam scene taken from which comes at 00:31 ?
It's from 30th gundam perfect mission. It's just a short 2:minute animation
"Although, chronologically in the series, you can say it's the third."
Eeeehhhh... depends on what you mean by chronologically...
Demon like
What makes the Gundams so special is the head, face, & whatever weapons it uses.
Yo i was inspired by you and other TH-camrs to get deeper in the series and I am great full
Gundam Barbatos will always be My Number one Favorite Gundam because it is REALLY Cool
This is a really great video. Thanks, bro!
Gundam barbatoes is the best design of all the mobile suit, but the ending was sad
GUNDAM WING Endless Waltz was my first experience with GUNDAM. I loved the Heavy GUNDAM with tons of chain guns the most.
Heavy Arms?
The Impulse functioned more like the Victory Gundam in modular application. V2 is evoked by Destiny with the Wings of Light.
Binging your videos! Thank you for a great one to go through the Gundam designs in the franchise in a great package. Was hoping to see Gundam Ez8 from my favourite Gundam series 08th MS Team~
Gonna share this lekker video to my GUNPLA South Africa community! ;)
Super cool video! When I first got into gundam I was definitely put off by how similar they were haha
I had to stop when he said the Mark. II was identical to the RX-78 exept for the colour pallate.
Like, where to even start?
Thats because they are samurai robots. (Im not joking). They used samurai armor as inspiration for the gundam design during the show's development
Pense que tambien hablarias del Gundam Atlas Chalo, éxito en el nuevo proyecto
Thank you for speaking English. When I saw the comments section I was worried I wouldn't be able to watch lol
Haha yes, the video is in english but since I'm not american, other people thought that I was going to speak in another language. Hope you liked the video!
Same
Great video, I've been a fan for a long time and I still learned a bunch.
What is the more realistic animation that showcases ones like the G-self, Unicorn, Turn A and 00 Gundam? Any links to that video??
Darn you didn't talk about God gundam thats my all time fav. Great video all around
the unicorn gundam actually has 3 humanoid modes, normal, destroy, and awakened
champion of thickness🤣 20:31
He talked about every main Gundam except for the Victory/V2, X/Double X & Stargazer.
F91and Vgundam designs became small because Plastic became expensive back then. Bandai execs wanted smaller more affordable products in the early 90s :D
"Machine Guns everywhere".
Gotta love Heavy Arms
New in your channel nice video I m only have one year with gundam and I feel in love with the series and with the gundam kits
Doesnt matter what video i will rewind the Unicorn part several times coz damn that horse is BEAUTIFUL
LOOK AT IT ALL OPEN UP AND GLOWY
I get why you didn’t include the Build series though you may have needed to mention the Beginning Gundam from the OAV.
No one cares about Gunpla Builders
Dude awesome video! I hope you do more design themed videos, but I mostly hope you continue to make content in general! I'm gonna share this around hopefully get you some more subs c:
Thank you very much! I really appreciate your words. And yeah, I'll try my best to continue to upload anime and comic videos. Talk to you soon!
Happy to see you enjoy gundam as a whole.
Does anyone know where I can watch this full clip? 13:45
Dude it was very cool, You did a long research lol thank for the video keep it up I would like to see more videos...
Thank You... I'll try to release more videos soon!
@@absa yo u forgot victory,8th ms team, war in the pocket, and gundam x, could u make a follow up vid or smth?
after main UC story gundams evolved according to its surrounding
G: is a mechafied dragonball
wing: people digs fantasy that time so feather and bat like wings are just there
seed: try to modernized the design
Unicorn: to bring back Old fans
Age: For all ages (doesnt live up)
ibo: year before in Gunpla contest, those no waist armor is a thing and sexy . after that we were surprised the next gundam has no waist armor
True
Barbatos Lupus Rex and The Gremory model are one of my favorite designs but there are so many other good model designs gundam or non gundams.
Started with gundam wing and fell in love with series and started building them with model kits
Gundam Wing was my initiation to the series, than 00........ Nice video, man.
Great video, you have gained a new suscriber!
Gundam gusion : ....
I enjoyed myself thoroughly with this video!
8:42 Isn't the Zeta technically the fourth gundam, seeing as the both the Gundam Ground Type and the Gundam Mk II precede it?
Very well presented video. Gundam has sure come a long way regarding its designs.
Yeah, the franchise has evolved a lot since its early days. Looking forward for the 40th anniversary projects.
Iron Bloodes Orphans felt very very Armored Core - and I’m perfectly ok with that!
I somewhat suspect that these Robots look similar in design to Samurai armors.
the champion of thickness got me
Ofcourse the design of barbatos is a bit alien like its supposed to be a demon like its literally named after one
I still like the classic rx78 design, in cucuruz doans island recently towards the end it looked downright menacing and it was glorious
How about the GP-O2 which was designed primarily to deliver a nuke?
i do love the savage gundams in ibo :)
No thunderbolt?
Wait ?! Some people try to diss out IBO ?! since when did this happen
Yes because there are ibotards who say ibo has the strongest suits blah blah blah disregarding far superior techs on other universes like GN drives etc etc , and says IBo is objectively the best Gundam series. They say this in Gundam groups and UC elitists , another toxic Gundam fandom , gets all triggered and fight them in comment sections. And when you provide logic and facts against Ibotards , they tend to disregard it ,that's why even the non toxic fanbase gets annoyed at Ibotards and diss IBO and it's fanbase.
@@barayan1498 yes because blame the show for its retarded fans....
@@barayan1498 U.C. fanboys are far worse than those "IBOtards" you mentioned.
@@oi8780 yup i've meet some of those U.C fanbois and man they aren't as fun to argue compared to IBOtards are. They just keep going and going, i was like yeah U.C is superior so are we done yet lol?
And i don't have anything against the U.C, i loved their more space grounded physics with their mechanics (minus Newtype) but their politic backstory is too much for me to memorize all.... Let alone the many wars happening at the same time during OYW
@@ernestorio3550 I agree with you wholeheartedly.
Haters can hate but barbatos is the most beautiful and elegant gundam
great video
Thank you. Hope you liked the video!
Good review dude.
So victory gundam isn't a thing?
Excellent overview, thank you.
Excellent doc.😄👍
Barbatos Lupus Rex..... An unique Design that Loved by milion, yet also Hated (Or even Abhorred) by billion.
The Community treats the series, Especially the Barbatos itself like it's a Catasthropic doom of gundam series, which is quite sad.
Wing Zero custom will always have a special place in my heart.
1:15 actually technically the RX-78-1 Prototype Gundam was the first Gundam. It never appeared on screen though in the original series and thus the second model the RX-78-2 was seen as the "first" Gundam.
Personality I love both versions of Wing Zero's. The one from the series and the one from Endless Walt's.
But going to ones that was missed. Because of the series that was not released widely the Gundam's from After War X Gundam was missed completely. I haven't see the series but I've seen what the Mobile Suits look like and can understand why you missed it.
But in the Universal century was the Gundam of MS Gundam 0080, 0083 stardust and the 80th Mobile Suits team.
The facts are is that I understand that their are so many Gundam's out there, it's hard to mention everyone out there, but you did do a nice job describe the defendant design. But some fans will comment on these ones the most I think.
Good job on explaining those. Thanks
Great video, but you skipped Ez8 from 08th MS Team. That is probably the least Gundam looking Gundam.
Its look is justified in the show as it's basically a field patch job, but the only classic Gundam design it keeps is the mouth vents and eyes.
Regardless, this was still a very comprehensive look at the design over the years.
The mustache gundam the turn a looks a lot less gundam them the ez8
