if you need something to watch, and a good amount of time to set aside, the original UC Timeline stuff is pretty great. I'd say watch it in release order.
32:24 Note, it doesn't actually walk, it can simulate walking motions, but thanks to Square Cube Law, it's actually just held up by support beams and can't walk on land. Its still the coolest Gundam related thing ever, went there last year, almost came when I saw it move with Amuro's VA speaking.
Love how the closest thing to a remastered version of Mobile Suit Gundam was the Hello Kitty collab they did with Sanrio back in 2020, 2/3 of the shorts are on YT, pretty good actually
I went to the Gundam crisis attraction in 2010! As a non-Japanese speaker, it goes without saying that I did horribly, and barely understood the rules. I was mainly at the park to see the new “Evangelion World” area at the park, but the Gundam stuff was cool as well. I went through the gift shop too, it was awesome.
I have a job interview today and have been super stressed. This video has helped me stay somewhat chill today. Thanks, man. Hopefully I can manifest the beast of possibility and win.
Don't worry, you can also be a newtype by taking a lot of drugs and become a cyber newtype 😁 that should help you summon the beast of possibility in an instant, I got a dealer at the projects 😂
I honestly like to think that along with the build series potentially being Gundam Valhalla for the characters, but also every store has a model kit for every MS from every Gundam media, even if the MS never had a model kit or when Bandai decides to stop selling them, like the Geara Zulu’s or the Big Zam
For the colony drops... the habitats do seem to vary in how they are laid out internally. The average occupancy of an O'Neill cylinder habitat(which is what the ones in the UC timeline generally are with... like a few exceptions) ranges from a few hundred thousand for a more rural configured habitat to over twenty million people for an urban one. Thus all together those five successful and one failed colony drop could range from the low millions(if all are of the rural configuration) to nearly two hundred million(in case all six are those of the urbanized configuration). It was stated/shown that every single colony that was involved in the colony drops had the people living inside gassed... so yeah all dead.
1:23:01 By the way, Miharu's brother years later would become a test subject for the Psycho Gundam, and ultimately he was killed by a stroke caused by the Gundam (perhaps that's why Kai decided to help Karaba, since he is a spy and might have gained that information), and already in the part of the end of the iceberg... how come you didn't mention what happened to Marida before Unicorn...
I was aware of “Gundam Valhalla” theory and I really like it and choose to believe it’s canon. That means that all our favorite characters that died horrible or unnecessary deaths get a second chance at life where all the horrible wars they fought and died in are fiction and piloting mobile suits isn’t some grim duty of soldiers forced to kill or be killed but is instead done for purely for entertainment and the love of the sport and hobby.

Hey Pigpen, fire vid like always, as someone who does something similar, I was just wondering for the background footage you use, do you have to individually ask the people for permission or does it fall under fair use?
Fair use. It’s video game cutscenes and I make sure to let people know I did not record the cutscenes. I’ve been linking them in the description for years and now am also mentioning them in the video (which I should’ve been doing)
While I knew a lot of this information already, there’s still info in here that’s new to me like the source of kamile becoming a doctor I always thought that was something fans made up, also thanks for giving me more reasons to hate for the barrel even more than I already did lol
You don't need to see more of the other shows to do videos about them ... yet. With UC, there's enough material you can find on the gundam wiki for, at least, another video. And that could be about the mangas (like Moon, Despair Memory, etc) and games, theres other behind the scenes ideas, etc :))

Yeah man, great vid as always. I have two suggestions for a future Iceberg. A Disney and Pixar Iceberg (like, just do Disney and Pixar in one Iceberg). And a Dreamworks Iceberg.
Really funny to imagine that Rambo Ral, a master tactician and expert at guerilla warfare, a man that escaped the destroyed Gouf with a grappling hook and only died in combat after being shot, escaping, and going on his own terms with a grenade, went to Gundam Valhalla and decided to build Gunpla and go after Rinko Iori
funny thing about char clones, the idea of char actually came from a few older mecha series Yuusha Raideen from 1975 had the character Prince Sharkin as it's main antagonist, who looks extremely similar to char even down to the mask and similar name; later on sunrise would produce the Robot Romance trilogy helmed by Tadao Nagahama who worked with Tomino on Raideen, and while there is alot of DNA in this series that would eventually go into gundam what's important here is that each series had a similar blonde haired alien antagonist who would get more development as the series goes on.
I remember G-Savior. Still got the DVD. I do remember reading somewhere at the time that it was supposed to be a big deal because Gundam was just getting big in the West. Sunrise was apparently so confident that they just let the Canadians do whatever. Until they saw the first cut. Apparently, the execs from Sunrise were so upset they banned any use of the name Gundam, or anything else tying it to Gundam and just allowed it's release to recoup a bit of what they spent. No idea if it's true, but explains a few things.
Gundam is such a huge series with all its spinoffs, books, and shows that it’s impossible to start at. Then once you get into the series, and read or wish certain things to happen. You get into this habit of making your own scenario where you want Amaro to get together with sayla. But you don’t want him to die at the battle of Abou-ko. So just saying to those who watch gundam, you can make up your own scenarios, hell make it your own cannon story. Just remember every time you rewatch it, it’s gonna be different than your own interpretation. Great video btw, there’s definitely a lot of stuff I didn’t know.
@@srcoeiu6100I guess he just means that most people find it daunting to start. I mean yeah I kinda get it since the franchise is massive. Also you don't need to watch UC before the AU's. The whole point of the AU's is to have a series that anyone can watch without watching the massive backlog of UC first.
@@NOIDEDU Not really considering how many people of the Gundam community watch in release order and still don't understand anything and put batshit insane opinions online. Watch whatever Gundam you find the coolest, who cares.
There was another colony drop not mentioned by you. Kamille finds Haro in the remnants of a colony drop on the moon before the actual attempted colony drop that occurred in Zeta that you already mentioned. Odds are the colony drop on the moon observed by Kamille and Emma did not claim any lives though, as no one ever explained any history regarding it, but it definitely happened in between MSG and Zeta since there was a probably-mass-produced-toy Haro inside it.
I kinda love the idea of zeon putting a giant artificially bred brain into their newtype machines. Thinking about it, it kinda makes a lot of sense since by that point in time the psycommu system wasn't yet fully developed so giving the mobile armour a (presumably) cloned newtype brain would allow the pilot to link up faster and control it much smoother and easier via telepathy. Also zeon being so desperate to win the war they resort to creating manmade horrrs beyond comprehension just seems very fitting.

No idea if it's true, but explains a few things.
Thank you for all of the

48 min on a good vid and i get recommended another good vid. great day for gundam
It's really not impossible to start though, the ideal order is right there, 79-CCA and then you can watch anything except SEED Destiny
Gee I wonder why Katejinas mech is coloured that shade of pink! 🙂
Thanks For Doing My Request
To all people trying to get into gundam. Dont think to hard about timelines and continueties, it doesnt matter. Just watch in release order.
Yeah, the obsession of what's canon or not is more of a western thing.
Just watch whatever looks coolest to you
@@ph43draaa thats terrible advice atleast for gundam
Even just the oyw is all messed up. I'd say most stuff in between msg and cca is pretty stable, but late uc gets messy too
@@NOIDEDU Not really considering how many people of the Gundam community watch in release order and still don't understand anything and put batshit insane opinions online.
Watch whatever Gundam you find the coolest, who cares.
0080 at rank one was unexpected. Imo its one of the best anime ever made. Surprised it got a kinda lukewarm reception
I appreciate how often you really pronounced "You see" as an exaggerated UC.
Yesss i just rewatched the superman iceberg yesterday mate.
U have earned my sub with not just this but all of yo iceberg
There was another colony drop not mentioned by you. Kamille finds Haro in the remnants of a colony drop on the moon before the actual attempted colony drop that occurred in Zeta that you already mentioned. Odds are the colony drop on the moon observed by Kamille and Emma did not claim any lives though, as no one ever explained any history regarding it, but it definitely happened in between MSG and Zeta since there was a probably-mass-produced-toy Haro inside it.
Damn boy. Didn't see this coming but as I love Gundam this very welcome
Didnt know you are into gundam. Awesome. Nice taste with G Gundam
God thank you I’ve waited for this 🙏
