- It was a great event!
Thanks to the organizers for throwing it. The 2023 iteration of this event is the reason I went back to tournaments. It is the reason I found a lot new friends since then, so it always has a special place in my heart.
Also great that we were 4 guys attending from germany. 2 more from my club and one from ESK Augsburg. We had a lot of fun and exciting matches.
The rules in short:
Fencing till first touch. Everything after the initial tempo doesn't count.
Deep targets have priority over shallow targets.
Two handed strikes have priority over one handed strikes. - กีฬา
Beautiful fencing! 🔥🔥🔥
Excellent video! Watching this inspired me to train footwork! Post more videos, please!
Love the video, top tier tournament matches with breakdowns, interpretations and some humour, well edited... need more tournament videos like this
I watched a few videos from druid legacy. He has done stuff like that before and it got me intruiged. Really good stuff.
Wow! Awesome! New gear and a completely advanced skill set. You’re a brand new fencer, I wouldn’t recognize you compared to the old vids. You put in some hard training and it shows!
Thanks a lot! It's sometimes hard to see progress as yourself, so that's great to hear^^
Last year in Prag I got destroyed, but also got lots of helpful feedback from the fencers there. So I've been working on that.
You got two of my teammates eliminated (Maroš and Filip). Really nice job there and I'm looking forward to meet you next time ;)
I had no choice! You eliminated my teammate Max.
I can't wait💪
@@petritzky that's true, but it was a though fight 😅 are you coming to the Tyrnhaw? I'll be there 🤺
@@brano_simasek I just barely got Maroš and Filip as well. Both were 7:6 I think and though fights.
💯 on Tyrnhaw. Already registered.
Neat!
Du biest! Gratuliere :)
Jo, dankeschön^^
Holy fuck you move like Fabian back in the day. Congratulations!
Damn, thanks for the compliment.^^
He's a big inspiration for sure. I still have a long way to go though.
jo, Nico. Den Typen in deinen ersten elims hast richtig abgestochen und es gibt Videobeweis. Hust Hust Max.
Nobody cares about the manuscripts anymore :/
@@suatkuran5323 what do you mean?
@@petritzkyEveryone plays from Longpoint these days and I rarely see any other guard and any master cuts.People literally forgot that HEMA is a martial art rather than a sport.
Ah yes, because the true art lies in pointlessly circling in ten minutes while artfully changing guards, followed by a loud double.
@@VelmiVelkiZrut That’s not what the sources say though.According to Liechtenauer, one should only fence from 4 main guards and use the master cuts from them to break your opponent’s guards. He couldn’t figure out the solution to doubles unlike Fiore so there are problems in his system but it’s still okay.I do circle around in order to counter longpoint but that’s my Destreza solution :)
@@suatkuran5323 I kinda get where you are coming from, this one-handed poking meta and this sort-of "closed eyes" thrusting with a follow-up zwerch currently ubiquitous in eastern tournaments is very reminiscent of sport fencing... but there is more of the sources in there, as some of the breakdowns in this video show, and many sources do favor longpoint.
Just curious, how did Fiore solve doubles?
