    I think your review has convinced me to purchase this little guy. Ive been sitting on the fence about it but seeing your voltage on just a stock alternator and an xspower front battery has me sold. I have a 370amp jsalternator and an xspower d4800 under the hood. Great video and subscribed!

      I was looking at these batteries myself. I will have a 320A alt and a xs 3400 agm. My amp is a 2k you think i will be good with jus a xs3400 and 320A alt? Jus thought people saying a lithium in parallel with battery agm will draw the lithium down. Thanks

      I think for a single 2k amplifier you will be fine with your 320a alternator and a D3400 AGM battery. Having more reserve is never to much especially when you have future upgrades trust me!

    Unfortunately, all this showed was you're not running a ton of power. That LTO was not helping there at all and would not start helping until you dropped to it's resting voltage. Anything above that is all alternator just as your XS power would not supply any reserve until you dropped into the 12's past it's resting voltage. I have no doubt the JP battery is good but you need more power to actually utilize it. Nice set up btw.

    • @synaudio9778
      @synaudio9778  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello @Flexin Five Hundred
      Just want to start off by saying that I understand why you think I’m not running enough power to drop voltage on my battery. Prior to installing the LTO 6.0 I was dropping to the low 13s and noticing that the bass would gradually drop off after playing heavy bass and once I installed this battery I maintain in the 14s. Thank you for your input and I appreciate you liking my current setup. I understand that there’s always room for improvement and I’m open minded to feedback from everyone.

    Seen in another comment you said you have a 500amp fuse on 1/0? You need a smaller fuse my brother, fuses are rated to the cable and how much power the cable can handle. So for example 1/0 would be about 3-350amps before it melts itself, and that's why you have the fuse!

    • @synaudio9778
      @synaudio9778  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello @Dyl
      Thanks for correcting me on that last comment. I have a double run of 1/0 cables going from my front battery to the rear battery, and they are, in fact, “300amp” fuses on my fuse holder. I should have took my time to reply to the other user’s comment and verify what size I actually had; I will edit my comment and hopefully he reads it. I admit I make mistakes myself, but I like to share only correct information with my audience, and I appreciate you bringing it to my attention as I was wrong. So basically, I don't have any fuses larger than 300amp on my setup.

      I live about an hour and a half from Sacramento, and I haven't purchased any of Gatley’s enclosures, but they look high quality and well-made. I think for the price and convenience, they are a good choice, but you need to make sure they are in spec for what you're looking for, depending on the frequency and subs you will be loading into the enclosures. I enjoy making my enclosures, but it can be pretty time-consuming, and some people, they don't want to deal with all the hassle. I would try the Gately enclosures, as I know they have a good reputation for all their products.

Jus wasn't sure if it was ok to come off my front agm battery then to the lithium then to my amp without having a isolator inline to separate the agm and lithium while my truck is off. I currently don't have an isolator for my batteries, and I have not run into any issues. I believe the way they designed this battery as a supplemental battery has been quiet a success. I haven’t had any issues with mine without an isolator but an isolator would most likely help when I need to work on my system by cutting power to the rear battery.

Your alternator will definitely give you a more solid voltage with these two LTO 6.0s! Those copper battery terminals do not protrude the width of the battery, they should be able to lay on their side no problem just depending how you adjust the terminals. On its side with the terminals facing up I’d say maybe 1/4 to half inch. I’m not to sure as mine are facing inward. Hello @LennIE
      By far the best electrical upgrade you can do to your car is getting yourself a Big 3 Kit which will help get your voltage supply from your alternator to your battery more efficiently. The second thing to upgrade if you haven’t already is your stock battery, maybe an XSPOWER AGM or a lithium supplemental battery can help with reserve for the heavy bass notes. Since both amplifiers combined will be pulling close to 3000w it’s important to have even a double run of 0g ofc wires to the back of your vehicle to have sufficient voltage when needed. I would recommend to do a few of these at a time till you don’t see to much voltage drop while playing music under heavy load. Hope this helps.

Do you have the big 3 done as well? My sequoia has 150amp alternator but at idle I only get 13.5-13.8. Probably old weak rusty ground somewhere or the alt is tired. For my sub I got a Deaf Bonce AAB 4900.1 D amplifier.
      Before installing the LTO 6.0 I did charge it with a lithium charger prior to installing it to my car.
      No problem hopefully I answered all your questions and thanks for supporting my channel.

      Hello @Cory Binion
      That’s the same question I asked myself before JP from D4S made a Q&A about these lithium batteries but this battery is was designed to work as a supplemental battery with AGM. I have had my D4S LTO 6.0 in my car for over 6 months with no issues. I would recommend this battery and you won’t be disappointed. Hope my video helped with voltage drop demonstration.

    • @skinnypedal4677
      @skinnypedal4677 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're not suppose to. Agm resting voltage is 12.6, as he showed that battery is 13.2.
      That lto will try to raise the agm to 13.2 so if the car sits for too long, the lto will drain down to the agm resting voltage.

    Did you do double runs of negative from front to rear? I've been seeing and hearing people doing this but I've always been told that there just needs to be grounded to the vehicle closest to the battery. What's your opinion or knowledge of this situation? Thanks!

      Hello @Tony Foley
      I did not do a double run of negative cables from the front to the back of my car but I do have two grounds on each battery to help with any issues possible.
      I haven’t had any issues running my setup with only the grounds at the batteries. That’s a good question and although I can’t give you the best answer since there’s things I’m still learning, but as long as your not having any issues with your batteries charging or losing voltage I think you should be ok.

    how much current are you pulling from the D4S LTO 6.0 battery, you ever measure it? if you were pulling full 5000W, that would probably be ~500A+.....? i am curious what current that battery can actually support. did you compare with/without the D4S LTO 6.0 in there?

    • @synaudio9778
      @synaudio9778  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello @JohnnyOhh-yt
      That’s actually a great question. I’ve never actually measured how much current I’m pulling out of my LTO 6.0.
      For my subwoofer amp I’m Running a 5k but in reality it might be closer to 4k RMS on my single ZV6 15”. I am using an SMD 300amp ANL fuse.
      My mids are at 200 RMS WHICH IS 800 watts total. Using a 150amp Anl fuse I believe.
      I never did a comparison test with or without the LTO 6.0 but prior to installing the secondary supplemental battery my voltage with the same setup was dropping down to low 13.10-13.30volts on a single Xs-Power D3400 AGM battery.
      I’m happy so far with my dual battery setup I currently have as my voltage stays above 14Vs which is great for my 150amp stock alternator. Hoped this info helps, and that I answered your question. If I were to increase my power in the future I would like to run two of these hands down.
      Thank you,
      SYNAUDIO

    • @synaudio9778
      @synaudio9778  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Barry Louis Frasier,
      The D4S LTO 6.0 can support from 3000-5000 depending on the alternator. With a 200amp alternator I’d say it would probably help with anywhere close to 3,500-4,200 watts. You can always find more info on the battery directly on their website where they have some good info prior to purchase. The Big 3 upgrade is a must, especially when you want the most amount of flow from your alternator to your batteries. Hope this helps if not I could always send you the link to the item.

      Hello @WAT3VA TV
      I would highly recommend having minimum a double run of 0 gauge wire from your from battery to the 3 lithium batteries in the back, you can also go directly from alternator to rear batteries if possible. I currently have a D3400 under the hood with a double run of 0 gauge to my single LTO 6.0 which charges both batteries no issues. Having a 390a alternator will definitely help your voltage stay in the 14v range.
