  • Model - LTO-6.0: www.down4sound...
    Designed to work directly inline with stock charging voltages (No voltage-boosting needed to achieve optimal results).
    Can be paired with regular 12v / non-lithium batteries with no issues.
    14.8v Maximum Charge voltage (DO NOT EXCEED THIS OR BATTERY DAMAGE / FAILURE COULD OCCUR).
    DO NOT MOUNT UNDER THE HOOD UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AS SEVERE DAMAGE / FAILURE COULD OCCUR.
    Wattage Range - 3000-5000W (Depends largely on alternator input).
    Example -
    120-160A alternator - 3000w rating
    240-270A alternator - 4000w rating
    320-370A alternator - 5000w rating

    I like mine i have a 270 ho alt with a titan 8 under the hood and i have the 6.0 in the back and my voltage never drops below 14.5 im running a 4k old school memphis car audio amp @.5 ohm i haven't had any issue the battery is going to be a year in July. My idle voltage is at 14.7

      That's good to know. I still haven't had time to add my JP43 and second 6.0. Work has not slowed down at all. But it should be soon. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    My main battery is in the trunk. I currently have the main battery ground and amp grounded to the chassis in the same spot. Can I also ground this lithium battery to that same spot?

    • @ContractorsPOV
      @ContractorsPOV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you can put all the grounds in the same place you should also have all the positives connected as well and one will go to the amp.

      @@ContractorsPOV I was planning on having my lithium positive connected to the main battery positive. And my amp positive connected to my lithium positive. Then like we said above, all grounds grounded to the same spot on the chassis. Thank you brother

      @@thegingerbreadmahn yep, that's the way to do it! I have two of them now, and they are doing great at keeping my voltage steady. Good luck!

      @@ContractorsPOV one more question. Where will I need fuses in this set up when I go to install? I currently just have the 1 fuse from main battery positive to amp positive (lithium not installed yet)

    • @ContractorsPOV
      @ContractorsPOV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@thegingerbreadmahn it really depends on how long the run is for me on fuse placement. But typically, there should be a fuse immediately after any power source. So for your example, fuse between main battery and lithium, close to main battery as possible. Fuse between lithium and amp, close to lithium as possible. On my setup, the lithium is less than 2 feet away from the amp and is not concealed in any way so I don't have fuses there, but I do have fuses between the main battery and the lithium. Like I said, sometimes it's based on the install but better to be safe if you have any concerns at all.

    Did you run a isolator when you installed this ? I’m going to install with my stock battery and planned on getting a isolator but figured I’d ask what you did! Thanks

    • @ContractorsPOV
      @ContractorsPOV  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I did not install an isolator. I ran 2 runs of 2/0 from the battery under the hood to the back and I have a distribution block where everything is tied together. My alternator only charges to 14.5v so I knew the lithium wouldn't get overcharged. It works really well.

    • @johnnypiper1717
      @johnnypiper1717 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was looking to get a lto as well. Do you have to run 2 runs of 0g to the lithium or you think 1 0g run from my battery would still charge the lithium fine? Was also concerned if I needed a isolator since I have agm front battery

    • @rsxbase9291
      @rsxbase9291 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You dont have to its a preference for others but it would help current get to that battery

    • @johnnypiper1717
      @johnnypiper1717 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Rsx Base cool, yeah my amp is jus gonna be a 2k possible salt 3 maybe so think I may be good with jus 1 run of 0g power wire. You think you should run a 0g ground from the front battery to the back battery or would it be fine to jus ground the back battery to the frame

    • @ContractorsPOV
      @ContractorsPOV  ปีที่แล้ว

      I always charge mine, typically doesn't take long but I don't know if it's necessary. As long as your alternator is good, should charge once hooked up.

      It's done both ways and doesn't seem to be a problem with either. I charged mine before using to make sure it had maximum charge before starting but from my research, it can be done either way.
