I've been curious about getting any kind of lithium battery. You are really making it easy to say that getting one is the most logical thing for car audio..

Well that's 1 thing they dropped the ball on, some built on brackets for mounting the batt. Or they do it on purpose so you have to buy some name brand batt mounts.

Do you have to run a battery isolator? Could you do a detailed video of running multiple batteries, how to wire them from front to back and the banks themself? Also about how a battery isolator works and how to wire it in and all that good stuff?
I never would’ve thought you could run one of those battery’s off the stock alternator. I figured you’d fry the alt. Great video, I learn something new every time I watch your videos :)
youre stock alternator will fail prematurely, it probably has 10-20 spare amps and that amp clamp was reading 75 and pulsing frequently to 150.. so add the amperage draw of the oem components in the car and there is a major deficit. Nice. The Recharge Speed Of Lithium Is Crazy. I Have 3 Green LiFe Lithium "50AH" Batteries (15lbs each). I Played My System 9 Hours Strait Engine Off... Voltage Stayed Around 13V At The 9 Hour Mark Bassing (what Lithiums do) Car Still Started But My Alternator Charge Voltage Was 13.4V All The Way Home And I Have 2 320Amp Mechman Alternators hahaha. Probably A Good 45Min Drive And They Will Be Charged Back Up To 14.8V.
I just grabbed a limitless 6k, hoping my system won’t be to much for it, going with 2 deaf bonce 12s that can pull 4k rms and mids at least 1k rms with a 370 amp alt.
Thank you for making this video it answers my question because I need to do that to my system and get that 12 inch L7 with the Down For Sound JP eight pushing it and I drop down to 12 V when I’m at 13.8 V
Three questions. First, why would you unhook your AGM under the hood? These are LiFePO4 and work in conjunction with AGM's. Second, were you keeping the volume down on the AGM test because on a 100a alt with that 3400 which is like what 70ah and your stock battery under the hood it was holding pretty good for a 3k. Third, why no test revving to 2k rpm? I bet the voltage would have stayed a lot better because at idle that stock alt was probably only charging at like 25-50a.
Not sure if this applies or not but 3.7v per cell is storage voltage on a lipo for say an RC car. Same concept smaller plates. But charged voltage per cell is 4.2 or 4.7 if you have high voltage packs(batt). I believe this same concept would apply if it we're for competition use. You would charge to 4.2 per cell and have an extra 45-90 second burst, probably more 5-15sec with small batt, for the extra wattage right at the beginning of the comp. Of course you could recharge and balance after each cycle and stay at optimal performance
