I got out of Japanese the last few years and coming back around to it at the beginning of the year I was frustrated with the missing features of Migaku Current. It's very refreshing to find out that I can just go back to a system I had great success with. I do hope Lucas and team will hit their target feature set with the new version, but until then I'll consider signing back up for Legacy. Thanks for your comparison! Came for the Mahjong stayed for the Migaku refresher.

It worked!! I watch this last year and began using Anki. Now I have already finished the deck and I can confidently say that i can understand most daily Japanese conversation.

Oh my gosh I've found the spiritual successor to Cure Dolly! I got excited when I saw the train car/engine metaphor and mention of the two sentence types in Japanese, "A is B" and "A does B". Cure Dolly's videos were the only ones that made JP click for me so logically and her passing made me worry her style of teaching might be lost in obscurity until now 👏

to be fair it's kinda hard to tell because the u-vowel of ふ gets devoiced or whatever and you cant reallyyyyyyyyy put a pitch on a consonant, in this context. i mean sure, drummers tune their drums but i mean, tuning a snare isn't the same as tuning your set of toms. yeah the second recording, the う drops more than the first recording, but thats irrelevant because in both recordinds the u is lower than the chu.
