    生産(せいさん)、not しょうさん
    定休日is ていきゅうび、not ていきゅうじつ。
We never say 定休日 as ていきゅうじつ.
As you may know 休日 is きゅうじつ、so perhaps because you know this, you read 定休日 as ていきゅうじつ.
定休日 is always ていきゅうび、and 休日is always きゅうじつ.
These may be tricky for learners.
But we Japanese never misread these two.no offense ,sorry.

i guessed three of the second one bc i thought "相談を乗ってもらった” conflicts with "お聞き” and "勉強になりました” which are describing the author listening to information yamada san contributed and not the other way around. つまり、乗ってもらったわけじゃなくて乗らせてもらった Maybe the fact that the author was the one invited to this meal/discussion and not the other way around also supports this.
wachya think?. . . but really in test setting i might have spent too much time on this question and picked the wrong one. one of my biggest obstacles im anticipating.
EDIT: whoops got suzuki and yamada mixed up. "suzuki san contributed. . ."

Ohhh wait I think I kinda get what you're saying?
The line 普段をお聞きすることのない話も伺うことができ、大変勉強になりました。Is going the other way than what I was thinking in the video. As in Yamada is the one following and listening to Suzuki.
However even in that case I don't think it would be 相談させる because the one who ultinately 勉強ed is Yamada. It just means there was no 相談 to 乗る in the first place。
      Great catch. I didn't notice this. 勉強になりました、ありがとうございます!

Welcome back! I am around N1 level and was looking to get more into pitch accent studies. I immerse quite a bit daily, and do some minimal pairs test with the migaku trainer but am not memorizing the pitch accent of individual words. Any tips for what I should do? I have already finished all of Dogen's series btw.

There is no need to memorize the individual pitch of words, if you can hear the pitch correctly, you will automatically be able to know the correct pitch of the word as long as you've heard it enough times *correctly* during immersion.
This is why I advise people to train their ears at the very beginning, because all the immersion hours after training your ears not only count towards understanding the language better, but also refining your pitch.
The best advise I can give is to ensure you train your ears to the point where you can confidently identify most pitch patterns (shouldn't take that long). Then spend years and years immersing like you already do.
All the time that you spent immersing without having trained your ears does nothing for pitch because you weren't able to hear the pitch properly, so it's better to start now than later!

Dawg some of these words would never come up in my immersion. I don't think anything I would ever read/watch would have 弊社 in it. But still, this is a bit too difficult for me at the moment. I'll take the actual exam when I have another 3-4k words under my belt. N2 is easily doable at my level, but I also see no point if being able to pass N1 is like a year away anyways. (Though I'd only actually be able to take it in a year and 9 months since its only offered in December in my country).

Fast way to get more business/keigo related words is to just drill N1 past papers. Every year there will without a doubt be an email section where these words pop up 😜
